What can happen when you let the Genie out of the lamp? It may not be what you think.
Ellie loves her friends and antiques. She even opened her own little antique shop, Timeless Treasures, when she graduated college. Little did she know that her love of antiques would introduce her to a supernatural being…a Jinn who possesses the most powerful object ever sent to Earth; King Solomon’s ring. Not only did she just discover that the supernatural actually existed, but now she finds that she must make a decision as to whether or not to embark on a dangerous adventure that could cost her her very life, and just as she finds the love of her life, Matthaus.
Will she make the right decision before it’s too late to stop Iblis from claiming Solomon’s ring and enslaving the world of humans for all eternity?

Stephanie Jackson lives in Clarksville, TN with her husband, Rick. She been married for a lot of REALLY long years and has numerous children of varying ages, all seemingly incapable of doing their own laundry or preparing a meal. They're all grown and employed, but they won't leave. They never leave. On any given day, you can find one of them testing the holding power of the couch and making sure the remote control is in good working order.
I'd like to thank the author for being so patient, and for providing me with a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Originally I came across the author's work in her book When Angels Fall. This is a continuation of that world. The writing is just as good as before, and I really enjoyed reading it. Ellie is a lot less whiny than I would be. I think I would invent a new level of whining if I had to walk 20+ miles across a desert. There's hot, and then there's desert hot, and I don't think I'd do well with it. Ellie and Matthaus make a cute couple and you can't help but root for them the entire time. I was a little disappointed with the last battle scene, after all, the angels had to step in and help. But the ending was good, and I can't wait to read the next book in this world.
The Lamp This book was another great adventure to be taken on. The characters were so real you can't help but get feel for them. With the snarky comments and wit of the main character, Ellie, you immediately like her and know that she is going to a force to be reckoned with. The vivid descriptions of the sceneries and all the places and things encountered in the book make it literally hard to put down. I found myself a little jealous of Ellie and her, ahem, lamp. *wink This book is definitely a mature read as it deals with adult content and it is well worth the fun.
Another great book by Stephaine Jackson! What can happen when you let a genie out of their lamp. Not what you'd think! I loved Matthaus and Ellie in this book. Plus Matthaus is hot, so that doesn't hurt either. I loved when he created an illusion to take Ellie to Italy. Ang gabriel from When Angels Fall is in this one for a minute, so that was awesome, too. Highly recommend!
It could have been a great read and I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but the book really needed a good proofreading. I really loved the book, but rereading sentences makes me nuts. I intend to read the other books and recommend this one. Please please get a proofreader, your imagination is too good not to have one.
The concept of what the jinni was doing was interesting. I did not care for how the angels were portrayed or the fact that they cussed. There is some sexual content so keep that in mind as well.
