Recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual situations and language.

Sometimes being happily married and completely content is not at all what it seems.

That is what 35-year-old, happily married mother of two, Alexis Summers finds out when she decides it is time to return to work. After being a stay-at-home Mum for the past nine years, Alexis now realises a complete career change is just what she needs.

She becomes a Concierge Attendant in a prestigious hotel in Melbourne working for the owner of the hotel, Bryce Clark. He resides in the penthouse, is extremely hot, and is a man who always gets what he wants and what he wants is Alexis.
She does a relatively good job resisting Bryce at first, but the undeniable chemistry, sexual tension, and playfulness between the two of them is intense.
Bryce has copious amounts of money, sex appeal, and above all else, is a genuinely nice guy. Bryce has been waiting for his one true love to come along, and he is positive that one true love is Alexis.

There is one problem, she is happily married to Rick. And, no matter how strong her feelings for Bryce are, she is adamant she will not cheat. She draws a line in the sand but finds it increasingly hard not to cross. Will she succumb to Temptation?

I offer up this review because I am still reeling from how utterly bad bad storytelling can be. I can honestly say that I hated this book even more than FSOG, both Ana and Christian and the series as a whole and I couldn't even finish Freed because I had grown so tired of saying WTF, in not a good way. But in this Temptation series, Alexis and Bryce and their weak story has surpassed FSOG as number one on my all time book shit list. I didn't think that was literarily possible, but K.M. had done that.

SPOILERS:

Annoying is happily married, alrighty.

Annoying gets the hots for hottie billionaire boss man like in two secs of spilling a hot beverage on him and starts fantasizing as he zips her up in a new Versace dress. I should have known then as this gave me my first WTF moment.

Annoying starts flirting immediately. Come on, do you have to be such a slut starting on page four? I ask in my best Chris Rock voice.

Annoying says "Oh I can't cheat because I love my wonderful husband who I have been with since high school and have only screwed him and we do it good but I will sure as hell get off thinking about hottie billionaire boss." How confusing is this?

Annoying has two children. And allowing them to be a part of this shit? Warped.
Annoying becomes a PA. Eye roll, where have I read that before and how many times? And as a side note, in future with NA (I know this isn't one), but can the whole PA job thing be banned/fired? This really has run its course in the genre along with sex dungeons and contracts.
Annoying gets an obscene salary. Yeah, I can believe that.

Hottie billionaire's sister tells family life story in first couple chapters. Bad pacing and extra cliché about them being orphans.

Annoying gets jealous when hot billionaire boss flirts with other women. That is when she evolves into a fucking lunatic to me. Dude, you are married!!!
Creepy hottie billionaire knows the name of all his cabillion employees and all the details of their personal lives. You shitting me right?

Hottie billionaire expresses his love for her after a couple of chapters. You really expect me to believe that he loves her that quickly because he just became an uncle and she flew to the hospital with him and was there for the birth? Men don't confuse wanting to fuck a woman for love? Come Gina, I say in my Martin voice.

Hottie billionaire exposes the cheating husband and does an indecent proposal/hall pass and husband agrees. Another true WTF moment.

Annoying finds out husband cheated runs to hottie martial arts billionaire boss and screws him as if an excuse is needed to fuck him anyway. At this point to me she becomes a tstl heroine

Deliver me from cringeworthy drinks named after body parts and sex. Contrived reached a new height with that scene.

And sure has hell, get me away from the overuse of designer everything. Did K.M. like go through issues of Vogue, Elle, WWD, GQ and Esquire and make a list and include them all? Pull out the perfume samples and say me mention these too?

But the helicopter rescue “cause you have a boo boo and take the Porsche home" must be the worse makes-no goddamn-sense-scenes I have ever read. Evah. And I am 44 years old and have been reading romance since I was 11.

Being on countless reading rides, I look forward to where the author takes me. But with K.M. and this series, I have jumped out the car while still in motion. No Fulfillment and Satisfaction for me.

While I am still in a semi state of hate shock, I did get some relief as I moved on to Sins and Needles by Karin Halle. Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy, #1) by Karina Halle Effing fan-freaking-tastic! Now I am on pins and needles (pun intended) for book 2 coming August 20 and now I am wrapping up prequel On Every Street !

Okay, I can breathe right now. What a hell of a damn ride this book was. My god I felt my heart was going to come out of my chest. This book put me in the ringer.

When you start this it will pull you in and not let you go until the very end. But even after it's over you still want to know more.

What would you do? You are happily married, two beautiful children, you haven't been working for the past 9 years due to being a stay at home Mum raising your kids. Finally getting out and getting a job.

Sounds not to bad huh???

But what the hell would you do when your boss is and I quote:

"He has just escalated from sexy, rock god, billionaire, boss man, to perfect, sexy, rock god, billionaire, boss man.

Sounds too good to be true huh???

Alexis is now working at a hotel. One her first day spilling coffee on her boss Mr. Clark. She feels an instant connection that pulls her to him. But she shouldn't be having these feeling because she is married. Happily married in fact.

As for Bryce.

Well, this is who I had in my head the entire time.

Mr. Clark

“Aahhhhh Ms Summers the pleasure has been all mine.” He stepped backward and nodded whilst giving me that ‘smirk’.
“Oh Mr Clark, by the way, it’s Mrs not Ms.”
Putting two fingers to his lips he winked and turned. “I know,” he called behind him, and then he was gone.”

“He was smirking the smirkiest smirk of all smirks to date. I laughed, even that smirk was hard to ignore. Fuck, maybe I should call him Mr Smirk.”

Bryce gets what he wants and when he wants them. He is a very extremely handsome man. From the first encounter with Alexis, I was on my knees loving him. But he wants Alexis, yes she is married but all that can change to him. He has never felt such a connection to someone before.

Alexis

“Let me ask you something Mr Clark, do you give this much attention to all of your staff?”
“No Ms Summers, only the ones that share their drinks with me.”

“His biceps were simply mouth-watering, and those legs! I could imagine having those wrapped around me in a hot steamy bath. Alexis, I think you just drooled on yourself.”

When things go a little to far and things start to come hot and steaming. I wanted it to happen so bad...

I felt extremely frustrated at times in this book. This will make you feel as if you want something so bad but you know you can't have it. I found my self feeling every single thing that Alexis was feeling.

This book is overall amazing. Just be prepared to want to jump into the next book seriously right after. So I would recommend getting both books before you start this one. If not then you will be fighting to find the second one and clicking the mouse like a crazy person... :)

temp·ta·tion [temp-tey-shuhn]
noun
1. the act of tempting; enticement or allurement.
2. something that tempts, entices, or allures.
3. the fact or state of being tempted, especially to evil.

What a story! TEMPTATION is an intriguing novel with a lust driven plot laced with a lot of humor. It’s the first book in THE TEMPTATION series by new author; K.M. Golland and I have to say that I was sucked into the story straight out of the gate!

At first glance, the decision Alexis Summers is faced with is simple, but as the story progresses, it is clear that things are not so “black and white.” Alexis is totally content with her life as a 35 year old, happily married mother of two – well, she is until she encounters the charming and sexy hotel owner, Bryce Clark. When Alexis decides to return to work her simple life suddenly becomes very complicated when faced with the ultimate temptation in the form of her very persuasive new boss – Mr. Clark.

I struggled with the overall plot of TEMPTATION and I had to keep reminding myself that this is a fictional book, but I couldn’t help the stress I felt for Alexis. On one hand, I believe cheating is just wrong, no matter if we are talking about a test or a relationship, but the little devil inside my head really wanted Alexis to take the plunge and get down to business with the irresistible man who was not her husband. Then, as I got to know her husband, Rick, I was screaming: “No! No! No! DON’T DO IT!” As a reader, I internalized the moral and ethical dilemma the very sweet and kind Alexis was faced with – it’s easy to say what you would do when it’s not happening to you! It’s also much easier if one of the parties involved possesses traits undesirable to a mate, but none of these characters do! Alexis, Rick and Bryce - I loved them all!

So the BIG question is: What does she ultimately decide to do? TEMPTATION left me guessing until the very end. The wrap up left us with a very mild cliffhanger – not enough to entirely frustrate the reader, but just enough to make you want to dive into the next installment (tentatively set for an early March 2013 release). Get this book; you are going to love it!

"If you are in love with two people, choose the secound one; because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second" ... truer words have never been spoken!

I think I've asked myself "what would I do??" several times while reading this book. Definitely makes you think, especially if you have been married for a while. I can see why the heroine is torn between two men and really curious as to how it all plays out in the end, especially when she finds out the reason behind her husband's sudden confession.

Starting the sequel tonight.

WARNING: If you have problems with infidelity and only see things in black or white when it comes to these type of issues, you may want to avoid this trilogy.

Not quite 4 but 3.75 stars for sure.

I think I'd like a sexy smirk from Mr Clarke.

I just luvd this book. It was brilliant hot sexy funny sad it just has everything in it. Once I started I couldnt stop the story just kept getting better and better and I needed to know what was goin to happen.

This book is about Alexis Summers she a mother of 2 and is married to Rick who is her childhood sweetheart. She has been a stay at mum for 9 years and luvd it but she want to get back into the work place and start get her life back a lil. So Alexis got a job working at a hotel but it's not just any hotel the hotel is owned by the very sexy Bryce Clarke.

This is where Alexis's life gets a lil complicated. Bryce isn't just and normal hotel owner. No he is sexy confidence cocky and basically get what he wants what billionaire doesn't. He wants Alexis as soon as he sees her. There is sexual tension straight away and the flirting just doesn't stop. Bryce makes Alexis feel things she hasn't felt before. Yes she married and everything is great but there is just something about Bryce that she can't seem to get out of her head.

This isn't the normal love triangle romance. There is so more to it. But you have to read it to understand. I can't go into it to much cause it will spoil the story but I can say that this book is just brilliant. My friend read it ages ago and told me it was great so I had to find out how good it was. I m delighted I read it and I can't wait for more.

This series is a combination of many things:
A touch of Cinderella, plus a touch of Pretty Woman added to a touch of Indecent Proposal... It is like an indecent cheesy fairy tale :) !!!

The first book in the series starts with the temptation of a new love. The temptation of a fairy tale when you are already taken - happily married with two children!

"Is it possible to love two people?"

Or as in the saying, "If you are in love with two people, should you choose the second one; because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second... ?"

Book 1 makes you question all this while the heroine is questioning her feelings for her husband and the Prince Charming, who says he is going to "make the impossible possible"...

“I can’t help myself Alexis, you, you are like no one I have ever met and I want you.”
“You can’t have me Bryce, I’m taken.”
“I don’t believe anything is absolute. Things change, people change, circumstances change.”

Book 2 is mostly focused on Alexis and Bryce discovering the strong connection between each other and their falling in love with each other. They have a magical week together after Alexis’s husband accepts Bryce’s indecent proposal and Alexis discovers her husband’s infidelity 5 years ago.

When this magical holiday ends, Alexis discovers more secrets related to her husband Rick and her prince Charming, Bryce. She is devastated and she is hurt. She puts a distance between her and the two men. The book ends when she makes her decision.

Book 3 begins with the sick cousin Garett/Scott’s evil plans for Alexis and I couldn’t take it any longer and I DNFed the series by reading the last 10 pages of the 3rd book.

The biggest problem with the series is its meaningless length. This plot could very well have been dealt within one book of say, 350 pages, but instead it is stretched and stretched like an elastic band and made into a series of 3 books, a little short of 1000 pages.

After a certain amount of time, 5 million scenes of love making give a sickening feeling. Similar fun banters between “Mr. Clark & Ms Summers”, “Nurse Summers, Hunny, My love” as Bryce and Alexis call each other, start to feel no fun at all, after a millionth time.

An interesting plot and high potential is wasted by stretching it into series of 3 books. The repetitions are maddening. The language and writing sounds amateurish with a lot of editing mistakes and repetition of words and exclamations. I may have counted a thousand times of the exclamation “Grrrr”! Isn't there any other exclamation showing anger, for God's sake?

And there are hundred times of this same dialogue:
"Oh, this is creepy research, Mr. Clark!"
"It is what I do, Ms. Summers."

OK, I am exaggerating the numbers, but you get the idea!

How many times can you repeat it? After two or three, every number is too many but this was beyond too many - sickeningly too many!

It is like listening to the same tune over and over again for 3 days! After a while, I wanted to yell, "Oh please, make it stop!"

The other criticism of mine is the fairy tale love between Alexis and Bryce, which often reminded me of the film Pretty Woman, goes far and beyond and turns into a cheese fest, an unbearable cheese fest.

So, Book 1 feels interesting with its challenging plot and like every girl who loves fairy tales (even indecent ones), I enjoyed my indecent fairy tale for a while...

I am giving them all 3 stars out of 2,5 for the fun I have had because for a while, I really enjoyed it, I can't lie, but I wouldn’t recommend you to start the series at all, because every sweet and hot thing you enjoy about it turns into a maddening repetition, killing the fun you have once had!

Temptation is the first installment in K.M. Golland’s adult romance series titled: Temptation. This is a story that gives readers an example of the temptation to unfaithfulness that eventually rears its ugly head at some point in many established marriages. However, this is not an example of someone who resists temptation, and that is what I can’t tolerate. It’s one thing to include this material in a plot in an effort to show readers consequences of a character’s action, but no. Apparently it’s OK to knowingly continue to put yourself in the direct line of temptation. It’s OK to verbally, physically, and emotionally reciprocate the attraction. It’s OK to do and say everything except the actual deed, without guilt, because of course it’s not cheating if you don’t actually f*ck. No reasonable explanation is shared with the reader as to why this character could possibly be unhappy in her marriage or her life, but it’s OK. No...it’s not!

So apparently the moral to this story is:
“If you are in love with two people, choose the second one; because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second.”
description

On the plus side (only because I try to always include some positive comment), I have to admit, Ms. Golland's writing style is good; it drew me in and I was genuinely entertained and eager to find out how this story would end even while I was growing increasingly intolerant of the female lead. However, after reading the synopses of the future installments (which I never do BTW, but I was trying to give this series the benefit of the doubt), this story does not seem to redeem itself later on. I’m so mad right now, but mostly at myself for wasting my time.

Note: When I read Temptation, I was under the impression it was a standalone novel. That’s what the audiobook material at my local library indicated. So that explains some of my immediate initial reaction when I wrote my brief semi-review below (see *). It ends abruptly, so that combined with the characters' choices had me on negativity overload. It appears this story continues on for at least three more books; however, I won’t be reading any more. I still stand by my first impression that this is a one-star reading experience for me, and if you place any value on faithfulness and respect within marriage, I wouldn't recommend it.

*12/09/2014: You've got to be f*cking kidding me! Out of the hundreds of books I've rated on goodreads, I've only rated one other one with 1 star. I'm supportive of authors and don't give out 1 stars lightly. That should tell you something right there. Full review to come...

Temptation was my first attempt at writing—the result of an on-the-spur-of-the-moment decision, and my love of the movies Pretty Woman and Indecent Obsession.

My intent for the story was to blend two worlds. A world of fantasy, extravagance, and fictional escapism and a world we know, can relate to, and feel as if we were a part of.

I hope I have mixed these two worlds in a lust-filled, angst-ridden bowl of sexy soup for you to devour.

Please enjoy!

Heard a lot of good things said about the series but I could not stand the heroine .I thought her too immature for her age ,her inner musings are particularly juvenile .Very catty toward other women .A hypocrite .She's married but she and her boss get into sexually compromising situations while all the time she's talking about her happy marriage and loving husband. She admits to wanting to sleep with same boss but she won't because of her marriage vows ,but she gets intensely bitchy about any other woman who is around him and tries to seduce him whenever there is other female company interested in him .It carries on like this....I just couldn't .

THE STORY

Alexis Summers is happily married to her childhood sweetheart, Rick Summers. They share 2 beautiful children Nate 9 and Charlotte 6.

However she realized there is more to life than being a wife and a mother.
She has recently lost a lot of weight and realizes she needs a social life, so she decides to go back to work.

She takes a position of Concierge Assistant, at City Towers, the most prestigious hotel in Melbourne, Australia.

On the very first day of work Alexis is so nervous that she accidentally spills her white chocolate all over the most handsome man she has ever seen.

 photo bryce_zps15e7a097.jpg

The Handsome man turns out to be CEO Billionaire Bryce Edwards, the owner of the hotel aka HER BOSS.

He whisks her off to Versace and buys her a new dress.
They have unexplainable chemistry.

She is happily married to the love of her life, but why can’t she stop thinking about Bryce? And the electricity that hit her when he touched her arm and the small of her back.

As the C.A she is close contact with Bryce.

He seems to know everything about her. Like some sort of stalker.
Except he brings things up with a smirk on his face, that makes you love him.

Bryce’s sister Lucy is also his Personal Assistant. She is also heavily pregnant and needs to be replaced while she is on maternity leave.
Obviously Bryce’s first choice is Alexis.
Alexis agrees to working extra hours when needed so can attend meeting out of hours as long as predominately her hours are 8-6 so that she can still her family.
When it becomes time to discuss the pay rate, she is unsure of what to ask for.

Bryce being Bryce decides to give her $500,000 a year! plus a new wardrobe.
Rick thinks that is great! She is the breadwinner.

She takes to the job like a duck on water, Alexis and Lucy form a bond, Alexis and the other C.A’s become friends. Everyone seems to like her but Bryce and Lucy’s cousin Gareth, the VP of the company.
There is just something about him that doesn’t sit right.

What transpires is basically them falling madly in love.
Bryce wants her and is not afraid to tell her this.
She keeps telling him that she is not cheating on Rick and won’t ever cheat on him so it doesn’t matter what they feel for each other it is not going to happen.

Everything seems to change with them when Alexis has a car accident on the freeway. Bryce had a personal tragedy when he was younger and does not deal well when people are hurt.
He races to the scene and lands his FREAKING HELICOPTER ON THE FREEWAY and runs to her and pulls “AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMEN” You know sweeps her off her feet carries her away thing. *SIGH*

So when Bryce poses the question to her.

If he could make the impossible possible would she let him?

If she could be with him for just one week, would she do it?
If he could make it so that she wasn’t cheating on Rick would she?

She answers yes….

You have to read it to see how he makes the impossible, possible.

MY THOUGHTS

I loved the familiarity of this story. As a Melbourne girl, I knew the sites, sounds and smells she was describing and it just added to it for me personally.
Peak hour on the Tullamarine Freeway, the City skyline, St Kilda Beach, Port Philip Bay, the Spirit of Tasmania etc.

Even had a smile on my face as I was sitting at the Kings way exit this morning, envisioning Bryce landing his chopper and running to Alexis. LOL

Ok storywise…

I felt wrong liking Bryce.
There was nothing wrong with Rick, he was a great husband a great Father and that made me feel bad…

I was angry at Alexis for getting ridiculously close to crossing the line with Bryce.

But at the same time I felt so bad for Bryce, man she turned his world upside down and he was dong everything he could to show her, he was right for her without starting an affair!
UGH

The kids were cute too. I’ll give them that.

Secondary characters were great. Alexis girls Carly, Tash, Jade, and the others were just like any bunch of girls, they all had their own personality but blended together perfectly to make you love them all.

Overall I did enjoy the story. I felt the things I was suppose to feel, did the things I was supposed to do ie – laughing, snorting, crying, internal sighing.
It wasn’t all action packed as it slowly built up to the climax at the end of the book. Sexual Chemistry was hot! And when they actually came together it was great.

I had already figured out, how the impossible was going to become possible early on, so that wasn’t a massive surprise.

However I was fully invested in this story and went straight to Amazon to get the second one.

HOLY AMAZEBALLS THIS WAS AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!

Ok, so when I was reading the synopsis on this book I was hesitant because it is about a woman who is happily married but finds herself drawn to her new boss. I am not a fan of cheating stories so I really had to debate on this book. However, the more I thought about it I just couldn’t pass on it. I had to read it…and let me tell you, I am so glad I did.

Alexis has been married to Rick for twelve years and has two children ages nine and six. Rick is a good guy. He has given her a good life. He provides for her and the kids, they have a healthy physical relationship and he is a great dad and husband. He is her high school sweetheart and the only man she has ever been with. She’s never even felt an attraction to anyone other than him. Her kids are both in school now and she feels like it’s finally time to reclaim a part of herself that has been put on hold for the past nine years while she was busy raising her family. She decides it time to start working again and she winds up working at a posh hotel as a Concierge Assistant but quickly gets promoted to be the Personal Assistant to the very sexy, smirking and completely irresistible Mr. Bryce Clark.

Bryce is…OMG Bryce is completely swoon-worthy. I mean he is not just your average control freak Billionaire. Yes, it’s true that when Mr. Clark sets his sights on something he wants…whether business or personal…he always get it- no matter the cost. He will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. And his goal right now is not only to get the newly hired Alexis into his bed, but he also wants to get into her heart. He is a take charge kind of man and I loved it. He doesn’t wait for answers…heck he doesn’t really even ask the question. He just tells you how it is. He’s a presumptuous and matter of fact type of guy. He is a perfect mixture of the dominating CEO and the good loving sweet boy next door.

He looked deep into my eyes and pleaded with me. “Ask me to kiss you, Alexis. Please as me, or so help me God I will break my promise.”

“No, let me go. I am not your toy…”

"I don’t want a toy, Alexis… I want you. I want you so fucking badly that it is driving me crazy. I’ve never wanted anyone or anything more in my life.”

The sexual tension in this book is off the charts hot. Their attraction to each other is instant and it takes everything on both their parts to stay within the lines---but how long can either of them last? Alexis can’t help but be falling for him. He’s sexy, flirty, has an amazing heart and is a wonderful family man. But she is married…not just married, she’s happily married. And she has two young kids. So why is she feeling things that she has never felt before? She doesn’t know how long she will be able to resist Bryce… with every irresistible smirk, every intense stare, and with all the flirty banter it is bringing her one step closer to crossing that forbidden line.

“Do you know what it is you are looking for down there, Mr. Clark?” I asked with a seductive undertone, while opening my legs just a little to allow him easier access to find whatever it was he needed to find under my seat.

He gritted his teeth and didn’t look up at me for a moment or two. Then, when he finally met my gaze, his eyes burned with lust. “I always know what I’m looking for down in this vicinity, Ms. Summers.”

Alexis is content in her life…but the more she thinks about it the more she starts to realize that “content” may not be enough. When all you’ve known is one man and one way of living how can you be so sure it’s what you really want? People become complacent in their lives and start looking for new opportunities but Alexis knows this… (whatever “this” is) with Bryce is more than that. He makes her feel alive and young and sexy again. He gives her a piece of herself that she never knew existed and she loves it. Hell, she craves it.

“When you left me last night, my hand was not the only thing aching. My mouth ached for yours to join it. My cock ached for you to consume it. My entire body just ached for yours. But what ached the most was my heart, it’s aching for yours to make it one.”

I’ve had to ask myself many times throughout this book what I would do. Honestly, I have no idea. Ask yourself what you would do if you had the opportunity to explore a side of yourself you never knew existed and feelings so intense that just the thoughts of losing those makes you come undone. Would you risk everything for a chance at complete happiness? Would you risk hurting a man who has always been there for you and loves you and you love? Or would you live the rest of your life asking yourself “what if”? I honestly don’t know what I would do. The kind of connection that Bryce and Alexis have does not come along every day…hell most people don’t even experience it once in a lifetime.

“If you are in love with two people, choose the second one; because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn’t have fallen for the second.”

This entire book, with the exception of one chapter is written in Alexis’ POV. But when you read the chapter in the POVs of Bryce and Rick you will be left thinking 'Oh My God!' Seriously the nerve of both of those men! I do have to admire Bryce for not giving up, that is for sure, but what he did? OMG I see a disaster waiting to happen. I need book two right now! Plus we get some new information on Rick that leaves us wondering if he really is as wonderful as he seems to be.

This is the first book in the Temptation series and I absolutely cannot wait to start the second book.

I started this book late last night, and despite some stumbling at the beginning due to some poor editing, I found myself quickly engrossed in the story. I forced myself to put down my Kindle at 77% complete at 12:30am last night, then woke up at 4:30am and picked it back up to finish it :P hehehe. Naughty fliB!

I realize that many of my goodreads friends would be decidely uncomfortable with the subject matter. Infidelity, especially when it comes to a woman with children, is hard to swallow. It was probably the first time I've read chick-lit erotica (as I would classify it), but the characters were fascinating. I will say that the subject is completely unbelievable in some of the characterizations (rich-perfect beautiful billionaire completely fascinated/fixated on young mother). However, I'm a sucker for the tropes that were in this book, so it didn't bother me.

The whole ideea of the infidelity in this book was interesting to me as well. It forced some introspection on my own past transgressions (pre-marriage) when it came to past relationships. I thought it was interesting when one of the heroine's girlfriends points out that if you find yourself falling in love with 2 people, you might not really have been in love with the first to begin with. (A sentiment I agree with somewhat). I can't even fathom being with another person aside from my husband, though that was hardly the case in my past.

I think with some help with editing, this author shows a lot of potential. Definitely an intriguing first book. I am excited to read the next one in the series.

1.5*. A wannabe Fifty Shades. I could not relate to the characters and the story at all. Bryce falls for Alexis because??? Nothing solid which made me believe in the reasons.
Alexis, supposedly in love with her husband and children, forgets all about them at appropriate times (read whenever Bryce is hitting on her).
Rick was also not too likeable a character in the beginning but by the end of the book, felt sorry for the cuckolded chap.

This is an amazing book. I purchased this book simply on impulse. I noticed that a GR friend was currently reading it, so I took a chance on it as well. All I can say is the book fairy was certainly watching out for me on this book because I loved it!!

 photo ab-fab-film-movie-adaptation_zps252f30f3.gif

After being a wife, and stay at home mother of two for the past nine years, Alexis Summers goes on a diet, looses a bunch of weight, and lands a job as a Concierge Attendant at the City Towers, which is a five star hotel with 43 floors, 481 rooms, 30 villas and Penthouse. She soon is noticed by Bryce Clark, the owner of the Hotel. Bryce is one hunk of sexy, yummy, mouth watering 6'5, dirty blonde haired, blue eyed Billionaire. Bryce seems to have done his homework where Alexis is concerned because he knows everything there is to know about her and immediately starts aggressively pursuing her. Alexis is also attracted to Bryce, (who wouldn't be?), but she tells him to back off...She is happily married. The problem with this is Bryce always gets what he wants, and he wants Alexis.

"I know you feel it Alexis, you want me between your legs just as bad as I want to be there"

 photo toohot.gif

The chemistry between Bryce and Alexis is flammable. They just click... I really struggled with my feelings and morals when reading this book simply because Alexis is married and her husband Rick doesn't seem to be a bad guy. He is a good dad, good provider and supportsAlexis in her decisions. I don't like cheaters, especially if one of them is married, but when there are kids involved it puts the whole situation on a different playing field. Thank goodness these are only book characters because God help me, I don't think I could resist Bryce Clark either...

"If you are in love with two people, choose the second one; because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn't have fallen for the second"

From what I have seen on Ms. Golland's GR page book two, Satisfaction will be out at the end of February, or early March. I hope and pray that she can some how, some way, let Bryce and Alexis find their HEA, as well as easing my guilt at wanting these two together, because OMG I want more Bryce and Alexis!!

I strongly recommend this book to all of my GR friends. A fantastic book that I could not put down!

Loved it!! This one sat on my Kindle for well over a year before I finally got around to reading it.. I'll admit.. I was a little nervous. I don't like triangles and I was afraid this was past my comfort zone in regards to them. But it turned out that it was not painful in the least!! Although Alexis is married to Rick...this story is really all about Alexis and Bryce. Rick was kept in the background enough for me to not form any type of attachment to him. Yes, he makes several appearances. just enough for us to get to know who he is.. but this is really Alexis and Bryce's story. Alexis's life changes when she meets the man that maybe was her soul mate all along... and although Alexis stepped well over the line with Bryce, it wasn't until a confession by Rick that she let her self see exactly what she was missing out on with Bryce. But Bryce is going to have some serious explaining to do when Alexis finds out exactly how far he went to make sure he had his chance with Alexis....

I found this book to be totally captivating.....some spice, some humour, some caring, some raunchiness, some....well, let's just say something of almost everything! This all adds up to a very relatable, easy reading book about some identifiable characters plus one very, VERY hunk of a MAN whom I'm sure every woman would love in their life! I read page after page without realizing the time , couldn't put it down, so wanting MORE! Now I am in a state of WANTING! Roll on Book 2!

TEMPTATION BOOK 1 REVIEW

I know this book has been out for a while but honestly I don't know why I have not read it until now. KM is a friend of mine, at least she used to be but may not be anymore since I took so long to read her book, so one would think I would have read it sooner. The best reviews are honest reviews so, lets be frank...

1. I wasn't that "friendly" with KM until recently ;p
2. The original cover. I know, I know, I know don't judge a book by its cover. EEEEP lesson learned, but with soooo many books out there to read something needs to differentiate some from the rest and for me personally its a cover..well not anymore.
3. I heard there were lots and lots of Aussieisms....hmm that normally alone doesn't deter me. I normally love reading books that take place elsewhere and are indicative of that culture , it makes me feel like I'm there.
4. I was on possible overload of the somewhat Alpha story
5. This doesn't bother me at all , hell its fiction, but cheating is kinda involved...OK so yes there is some infidelity but we don't know where the series ends and OMGGGGG it's freaking Bryce Clark???

The beginning starts off a bit rocky and I wasn't quite sure how I felt but Alexis is a very REAL and likable heroine. I mean she isn't 20, she isn't a virgin, she is snarky as heck, and she is a...mum . Basically she is kind of like us. She is way in touch with her sexual desires, needs, and she owns them-and not in a bad way. The inner dialogue meant to be funny is a bit too frequent at the beginning of the story but it does become less frequent and more humorous through out the book. Her insecurities are so real , so every woman that she feels real.

Bryce....OMG Bryce. Not total alpha like Christian, Jesse Ward, or Gideon Cross but enough that he is a total turn on. He is strong, smart, older, and sure of himself but he is also ...vulnerable in a good way. Seriously? I would be so hard pressed to not accept his offer.

So, I'm only in book one but lets face it if a marriage is happy and healthy, and loving....would this have occurred? Would this be a question? That's the funny thing, in this situation -I believe it absolutely could. Maybe not for everybody, but those of us that have lived long enough and realize we are all human and capable of very human mistakes know that BIG adult like mistakes are made too often and there are consequences to them. Starting with Rick!! WE ALL want to feel wanted and validated but just how far would we go? Is there a such thing as a soul mate? Is life too short to live without your soul mate if found after you have another family? Judge as you will but life is long and hard and we are all just human after all. Besides , its FICTION PEOPLE.

All the characters whether primary or back story are colorful and jump off the page, they are so freaking real. These could be your group of friends minus the billionaire..well for me any way. Oh and by the way, as soon as I thought Rick was a wanker he goes and gets all freaking honest.

One annoyance...I understand that Alexis was nervous but when we get to a particular scene I wanted to tell her to shut the everlovinghell up already!! She made it impossible for me to hear Bryce.

This is the first book in the 4 part installment for the series, all books are out now, and each is fairly short. If your looking for a colorful, sexy, emotional story give it a try, oh and there are new covers too!! I truly enjoyed the read and hope you all read it, if you haven't already!

P.S.
KM My deepest apologies for not reading your books sooner but now I am the typical fan girl!! Thank you for the series.

'Temptation' was one of those books that had been sitting on my shelf for a long time that I always wanted to read, but just not enough to take priority over others. This week, the Audible version beat out the other books on my shelf. I thought it'd take all week to finish during my commute, but it was finished in a few days time. As far as audiobooks go, it was pretty quick.

The story focuses on the relationship between Alexis and her boss, as they toe the line between innocent flirtation and outright unfaithfulness. Alexis is the stereotypical "bored" housewife. She renters the workforce to have adult interaction after years of staying home to raise her two children. She repeatedly claims to be"happily" married, but she seemed to be constantly in need of a reminder.

Bryce is the quintessential "billionaire hero". He was handsome, charming, publicly confident/egotistical and privately kind. The only thing that set him apart from a million other billionaire romance heros was his persistent, aggressive pursuit of a married woman.

Right from the start, these two make their shared attraction known. Alexis makes only a few weak protestations, which are easily disregarded because of the constant mixed signals she's giving off. On the other hand, Bryce makes no attempt to reign in his attraction. He makes no qualms of the fact that he wants Alexis and will take her any way he can get her, even married to another man.

As things started to heat up, I found myself rooting for Bryce, even as I was appalled by their behavior. I enjoyed the story, but found Bryce much more appealing than Alexis as a character. I just didn't click with her character and found her very irritating at times.

Overall, I give it 3 stars. I liked it, but didn't fall in love with it. I'll probably continue the series to see how things work out eventually. If adultery is a touchy topic for you, you may want to avoid this one. The book essentially chronicles the start of their affair.

I HATE cheating! In books, in real life, doesn’t matter! I HATE cheating!

That being said, I LOVED Temptation! How is this possible? Temptation has cheating in it. So, how in the world can I like the book? Let me explain………

Temptation is the story of 35 year old, married, stay at home mom, who goes back to work. On her first day, she meets Bryce Clark, boss, and billionaire extraordinaire. She feels an instant attraction to him, as he does to her.

Bryce pursues her with a creepy stalker like passion. Alexis resists Bryce. She has every intention of staying faithful to her husband, Rick. But things don’t always work out the way we plan, do they?

The cheating in this book didn’t bother me so much. Alexis didn’t set out to cheat on her husband. She wanted to stay faithful to her husband. But sometimes temptation is just too much and people give in. Now, there’s part I can’t tell you, because it reveals too much, but Rick is not completely blameless in this. You’ll have to read to understand.

Bryce is the creepy-stalker like billionaire not used to people telling him no. He pursues Alexis and respects her boundaries, to some extent. He does keep putting temptation in her way.

Bryce and Alexis are both at fault for this. Alexis stayed in the path of temptation and Bryce kept throwing it in front of her.

This was a very well written story and I have to admit, I loved it, cheating and all. To quote Johnny Depp “If you love two people at the same time, choose the second. Because if you really loved the first one, you wouldn’t have fallen for the second.”

BTW – that quote is in this book as well!

Now I need to read the next two and find out how it all ends. I have a feeling it’s going to get worse, before it gets better!

“If you love 2 men, choose the 2nd, because if you really loved the 1st then you wouldn’t have fallen in love with the 2nd.” So sad, but so true, and such a good story.

Not only is this book very well written it has all the elements of a romance novel while still keeping you in suspense. It is impossible to figure out who she will choose until the very end of the novel. You are taken on a whirlwind of a romance, in a love triangle, where not even the main character knows what she will do in the long run. Golland keeps you on the edge of your seat. In the process, she creates a world that is excruciatingly real and well put together. She never minces words while describing a scene or setting, nor does she add irrelevant words and descriptions simply to increase her word count. Everything is relevant and enthralling.

The characters in this novel are also brilliant. Each and every character is real and true to themselves. The problems that they face are real problems that someone in their situation would face in the real world. It’s a relief to read a novel where none of the characters are infinitely larger than life. Sure, there is a billionaire playboy, but never once does he develop superhero like characteristics. Not only are personalities and personal histories well developed, but so are the physical attributes of the characters. You know what everyone looks like. No one is just a name without a face.

I also applaud Golland on the novel’s ending. It comes to a definite conclusion while leaving the reader completely open to the sequel. Although one dilemma is solved, it in turn creates another in the long run. As the reader you are left very satisfied yet there’s a little voice in the back of your mind saying “but what about….”

4.5 This was really good. Right away I was attracted to the story line. It's like the movie "Indecent Proposal" but much better. It followed a 30 something yo woman who is happily (but boringly?) married, with two young children, that is reentering the career world. She has fantastic, funny, fun friends and a nicely balanced life. I (and I think a lot of my GR friends) could easily relate to her pre-billionaire-boyfriend-life. At times this similarities made me a bit uncomfortable, "What would I do in her situation?" Her life was good before, but she now has the potential for so much more. The attraction between the two was sizzling. They also had great senses of humor and I believed they could be soul mates. I'm about to start the second book...I want them to work out. But I also don't want her family to break up. I feel for her husband, he seems like a good guy even though he cheated on her in the past. ...Also the mystery cousin issue will continue in book two, but at this point I don't care much about it.

I don't think I'll find all my answers in book 2. I just found out this series is a trilogy. The good news from other GR readers is that a lot more comes out in book 2.

This is definitely one of those books where you question - What would you do if this happened to you? I know I did...
Alexis was a homemaker for many years, caring for her children. She decided to return to work and met, quite literally the man of her dreams.

Bryce, sexy billionaire - devilishly handsome and very charismatic. Also does not take no for an answer. He always gets what he wants - and that would be Alexis.

The sexual chemistry between these two is smokin' hot. I was swooning over this man

The music and movie references were perfect! This writer has a knack for making you LOL one minute and need a cold shower the next - LOVED IT!

2,5-3 stars!!
sooo..i had this for awhile waiting for me....i said...shoot let's give it a try
Alexis, a married woman and mother of 2 kids starts a new job after being home wife for almost 10 years.
Bryce, the new boss of Alexis, with a troubled past and the one that falls instantly in love with Alexis, and wants her, like really wants...enough that he goes some long ways to get it.
So loved some of the moments they shared, like all the teasings...but that's about it..sorry. Didn't really feel a connection there, maybe it will develop more on the next books ?! Truly hope so...but for the moment i'll just stop at book one...the others later on.
So for the moment...that's all.
See ya!

Alexis Summers is 35 and the happily married mother of two children. After taking some time off for motherhood, she’s returning to work as a concierge for City Towers, a prestigious hotel in Melbourne. On the first day she meets the boss, Bryce Clark when she manages to spill coffee on them both. To her surprise, Bryce is incredibly understanding. Alexis soon sees quite a lot of Bryce when it turns out part of her job is to report to him personally – she learns that Bryce is single despite all the wealth he has accumulated and that he’s looking for The One.

And he seems to think Alexis fits the bill.

Despite the fact that she’s married and happy, Alexis can’t stay away from Bryce. She finds herself promoted to the role of his personal assistant which means that she spends nearly all day with him. He’s funny, smart and very attractive and Alexis is finding the temptation of Bryce harder and harder to resist. He’s made it clear that he always gets what he wants and what he wants is Alexis and he’s willing to stage a long and dedicated campaign to achieving his goal.

I’m just going to throw it out there: Bryce Clark is a bigger creeper than Christian Grey. Here’s why:

1. You’re standing too close. Their first meeting occurs after Alexis buys a white hot chocolate before work. She turns around and immediately bumps into Bryce who is standing behind her, spilling it all over both of them. Honestly, who stands an inch behind someone at any time, because that’s weird, but when they’re most likely to be carrying a hot drink, it’s not just creepy it’s also stupid. My copy of this book also includes the first chapter of the second book, which is from Bryce’s point of view and renders this scene even more skin-crawling.

2. Keep your hands to yourself, buddy. After she spills the drink on them both, Bryce whisks her off to Versace and buys her a $2000 dress for her to wear, because I don’t know, he’s rich? And he needs a replacement suit. Anyway, when she’s trying it on he comes into the change room she’s in and zips it up for her. What?! I don’t care if he is your millionaire boss, most people would holler blue murder at that. I’ve never been to Versace, because I can’t afford that but most stores have separate change rooms for a reason and that reason is for people like you, Bryce.

3. Your time is my time. Alexis starts as a relatively bottom-of-the-rung assistant concierge or something, which is probably fitting for someone who has been out of the work force for some time. However in the blink of an eye she’s promoted to Bryce’s personal assistant despite the fact that she has no experience or qualifications in this area – it’s mostly just because she once answered a phone when Bryce’s previous assistant (his sister who goes on maternity leave about three minutes after Alexis arrives) was in the bathroom. That means she gets to spend all day, every day with Bryce!

4. Your job may require….sleepovers. Here’s this creepy room I prepared in advance. Alexis needs to take a shower at work, so of course Bryce leads her to his personal bathroom where it’s all decked out with the products she likes to use! This is on top of the spare bedroom in the penthouse that contains an array of designer clothing in her size for those times she may need to work so late it might be better if she stays over. And Bryce obtained the information on her personal preferences by having his sister call her 6yo daughter and speak to her. Firstly – crossing some lines in a big way. In so many ways I can’t even begin to describe. Secondly, I’ve got a 6yo. Okay mine’s a son, not a daughter, but he wouldn’t be able to identify anything I use personally because funnily enough, he’s not in the shower with me when I’m washing my hair or cleansing my face, etc. He also probably can’t read “L’oreal” or “Garnier” or “Yves St Laurent” or whatever. And any random that calls to speak to my 6yo would be told to buzz off.

5. I won’t unless you say yes, except for all those other times when I will. After they kiss, Bryce claims that he won’t do anything unless Alexis gives the go ahead….but this is only sometimes true.

6. Life is a Demi Moore movie. Bryce seems to think that he can play with other people’s lives, to get what he wants. This includes going behind the back of the woman he apparently loves and offering her husband money to sleep with her. I think Bryce is supposed to seem like he’s “freeing” Alexis to do as she chooses rather than be bogged down by her loyalty, especially when he holds information that discredits Rick, Alexis’s husband. But the whole thing feels really lazy – we’re told how fabulous Rick is, how great their marriage is, how happy they were. And that just gets blown out of the water with one or two lines.

7. It all amuses me. The smirking. Oh god, the smirking. Bryce smirks his way through this entire book. Arrogant smirking. Cheeky smirking. Adorable smirking. So much smirking. I think the worst is when he seems to find Alexis’s struggle amusing. Yes, she’s attracted to Bryce, seemingly because he’s a rich man who is attractive, because that’s primarily what she mentions. But she’s also married with children and to go with Bryce would be to break up a home, affecting her children who knows how much and for how long. And despite the fact that Bryce is apparently in love with her, he seems to give no real thought or have no real concern to her children (other than feeling that perhaps her son would enjoy his observatory) and how this will affect them. When Bryce is smirking about her hesitancy or reluctance or conflict or attraction to him, it made me like him even less than before. And he spends pretty much the entire book smirking. It’s ridiculous. Smirking isn’t attractive.

8. Stalking: it’s what I do. This is perhaps, the worst one of all. Bryce is clearly crossing lines, finding out about Alexis and using that knowledge to ‘woo’ her and in the book it’s portrayed as charming and cute. She teases him about stalking her and he responds all the time with ‘it’s what I do’ and she seems to think this behaviour is perfect fine. It isn’t. It’s weird, Bryce. You’re sitting up there in the penthouse of ‘City Towers’, googling or facebooking or consulting people that know Alexis so that you can find out what she does and likes. You pop up everywhere, at the clubs she goes out to with her friends etc dripping money and oozing your particular brand of ‘charm’ which is mostly just sleaze covered in creeper. It’s supposed to be evidence I think, of how much Bryce ‘loves’ Alexis but how can you love someone you barely know? What you should know Bryce, is that Alexis is a wife and mother. And all of the moves you’re putting on her, this campaign you’re waging, is gross.

Alexis doesn’t get a pass either. She’s weak, spineless, childish and ridiculous. She drools over Bryce whilst trying to remind herself half-heartedly that she’s married and then she seeks his attention constantly all the while rebuffing him in ways that aren’t really actually saying no. When she thinks Bryce is paying another woman some attention during a business meeting she undoes some buttons on her blouse and serves him drinks (which is not her job, it’s someone else’s), flirting with him all the while, just so he doesn’t forget her. It’s pretty pathetic. I hate the term “tease” but Alexis skates close to the line. Also her lack of real concern for her children and how they could possibly be affected by her potential actions is very off-putting. She is swayed by Bryce and his non-existent personality and her husband is swayed by the ridiculous $500,000 per annum salary Bryce offers her. In reality this is a dangerous situation and anyone who was happily married either wouldn’t feel the temptation or if they did, would remove themselves from its path. Instead Alexis chooses to place herself squarely in its path more and more each day, crossing the line into inappropriate workplace relations and we’re supposed to believe it’s all okay because Bryce is actually a much better man than her husband anyway.

Apart from the utter dislike I had for both characters, the writing itself didn’t work for me either. The story feels poorly paced, so many loaded looks and small, supposedly heat-filled moments as well as Alexis’s fantasies that all should lead towards the explosive climax (pun not entirely unintended). Instead the consummation feels anti-climactic and didn’t really deliver the pay off it should have. There’s also a subplot (I think?) revolving around Bryce’s cousin Gareth and I can only assume this is supposed to escalate throughout later books in the series because it seems to inexplicably peter out here and Bryce’s justification of Gareth’s continued employment and vague assumptions that he’s ‘taken care of’ the issue don’t really show Bryce as a dynamic CEO and multi-millionaire. In fact I’m not entirely sure how Bryce made any of his money given his sole occupation in this novel is Alexis.

From here on I can only assume that Bryce and Alexis find their HEA because they’re both so ‘me me me’ that they deserve each other. But I won’t be reading the rest of this series to find out for sure.

I apologize about the rant. I didn't mean to... it just happened.

I had heard nothing about this series prior to reading Temptation. Not a single thing... but the reviews were pretty great (an average of around 4.4 at the time... wow). So, I forged ahead. And I really don't think I'll be jumping on this bandwagon. I did move on to the next book in the series right after finishing, but only because it ended on a bloody cliffhanger. I mean, not literally bloody, but you know what I mean. I'm trying to be cheeky. Oh, British-isms are fun. Wow, off topic.

I just don't get it, I guess. The writing is okay... seems slightly silly at times (enough with the Ms. Summers, Mr. Clark stuff... ENOUGH), the dialogue was overly cheesy, and Alexis's inner dialogue drove me a little (a lot) insane. I also found Bryce to be too perfect. He has billions of dollars (I mean, of course he does), he plays instruments wonderfully (apparently he's a regular 'ol Jimmy Page on the guitar), he can fly a helicopter (duh), he has perfect abs (when does he ever find the time to work out?), can cook basically anything perfectly (perfect, perfect, perfect), and apparently he's THE BEST BOSS EVA (I'm not quoting here... but basically that's the impression I got). I mean, c'mon... give me some flaws here. Anything! SOMETHING! My men need a little damage in order for me to appreciate how great they truly are.

And of course, the big polarizing issue that truly is at the heart of this book... cheating. I have an issue with cheating (I would assume that most people do, but you know what they say about assumptions). Because of the inherent drama that comes with cheating, it seems to be a fairly common topic in some/most-ish of the romance books I've read (the Thoughtless series by S.C. Stephens did it right). Regardless, I never felt truly convinced that Alexis was justified in her actions toward Bryce. We don't really get to know her husband, Rick, in Temptation which I think is the first flaw. As a reader, I seemed to gravitate toward Bryce but only since I knew more about him. From the brief interactions I did read, Rick didn't seem like too bad of a guy. Perhaps a little boring... but after being together for seventeen years, boredom is also a bit conventional (and boredom isn't a bad thing, nor is it grounds for cheating). Alexis states numerous times (more than numerous, actually... more than necessary, I would think), that she's in a "happy marriage". Clearly. I think if we saw more of their everyday lives as a husband and wife; more interactions between them (what little quirks do they have?), more time spent as a family with their kids. I wanted Bryce to work for my affection a little more. It doesn't take much for Alexis to fall in love obviously, but I'm a little more complex.

She then spends more than half the book, internally going back and forth about how she shouldn't be tempted, but... wow, he's really hot, and she's in a happy marriage, but... he's such a good kisser. Yada, yada. They did some kissing and naked frolicking, but don't you worry, there was no sex. That would be cheating. I can only imagine how well that defense would work with me if my boyfriend tried it... "don't worry, babe, we didn't do anything. Well, I may or may not have diddled her a little, and we made out, and we saw each other naked... but for realz, I didn't have sex, so that doesn't really count." Yeah, right. (Also, my boyfriend really wouldn't ever say "for realz", thus proving that this is a hypothetical situation, and also that I'm not dating a member of One Direction.)

Also, the insta-love really bothered me in this case (in some books, it works). Alexis is married with two kids, and the day she goes back to the working world after nine years, she meets this perfect (see above) man, and a few weeks (or was it a month) later, they're both madly in love with one another. I mean, of course that's what happens. And what exactly is the attraction for Bryce? He apparently sees her application for this job (she has for five seconds), and then BAM! He wants to know everything about her, doesn't care that she's married, and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Okay, that's all well and good... but why?

I don't know... I just don't get it. And what I do get, I don't particularly like.

My baby Johnny Depp described this book just what I need to described

The first 1/3 book, I was frowning all the time. I'm kinda enjoyed the book in a last 1/3.

Alexis was in her fist day at the Hotel, as Concierge Attendance, right, she supposed to be in a lobby waiting for guests. Instead, after stumbled an split hot chocolate on his employers suits, who happened to be Mr.Bryce Clark, she was hauled to Versace store, gotten dressed up, and went upstairs with the owner.
Which happened to be a delicious, handsome devil to die for, fuckable rich billionaire, who crazy falling in love with her at the moment they met. And offered her a raise to be his PA.
Damn! What career !
Once she was an ordinary employee, with an ordinary salary, she's suddenly getting paid a fortune, like $500.000 a year. Get real!

He was just reminds me of C.Grey, and Alexis, the clumsy and split everything to him, sounds like Anna Steele in a wrap of a happily married wife with a loving husband and two adorable kids! Hah!

So, whatever, Bryce flirt with her and she can't just controlled her inner goddess to think dirty about him.
A wife! A happily married! Jeeeez!
They're flirt each other and they're make out...of course.
And just because she claimed that she's a faithful wife, won't betrayed her husband kind of thing, it ended with weird things.

- He invited her husband and kids to the hotel

- He fly the chopper just to safe her from the light car accident, and act like a superhero.

- The action alone, became a headline news.

- Alexis called him, instead of her husband!

- She slept on his room after the accident.

- Asked her to spend the one week with him, TO FIND OUT ARE THEY'RE REALLY LOVE EACH OTHER?

- When she rejected him, Bryce came to her husband for his "blessing"!, of course with :

1. $5.000.000. offer ! For f*** sake!
2. Blackmailed him about his betrayal with another woman!

- So, when she's got home, he told her about his betrayal and VOILA!

- She's of course (in her head said, YES!!!! Now I have a reason to fuck Bryce!)and went straight to the hotel! and f***ed him senseless!

- Oh, and did I mention about the Porsche she choose after the accident, just because he offered her?

Am not a fan of Alexis of course! I would never blame Bryce for his 'instinct', man gotta do what a man gotta do , right?

Maybe, just maybe, in a book #2, I would like the next book. Maybe.

3.5 Stars!

Well, I had high hopes for this one. I waited to read Temptation until all three books in the series were out. And honestly, this one was just OKAY for me. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. It was just....

We have another case of.....insta-love!!!

Alexis has gone back to work after being home with her kids for the past nine years. Her new boss is uber rich, uber beautiful, uber successful Bryce. Bryce and Alexis are instantly attracted to each and proceed to "fall in love" within a matter of weeks.

Alexis is married. To her high school sweetheart Rick. Rick is perfect and they have had the perfect marriage. But somehow getting out for the first time and meeting Bryce, she forgets all about her perfect husband and marriage. While, Bryce and Alexis don't "go all the way"--at Alexis' insistence, because she will NOT do that to her husband--but they do share several intimate moments, including several kisses.

Yeah, sounds like cheating to me. IDK, I just never really felt or got the connection between Bryce and Alexis. Needless to say, they tip-toe around each other. Both confessing they have feelings for each other. Bryce wants one week with Alexis--to explore what's going on between them. Alexis doesn't see how this is possible--afterall she's MARRIED.

Bryce pays Rick, Alexis' hubby a visit. A few blackmails later and Bryce is going to get his week with Alexis. Will Bryce and Alexis spend the week having lots and lots of sex (which I honestly did not find to be very hot)? What will happen when Alexis finds out that Bryce blackmailed Rick?

Unfortunately, I don't think I loved this one enough to continue on with the series.....
