It was ok. The story has potential, but it really needs to be edited. There are spelling errors, wrong words, and punctuation issues. The writing is stilted. With some polishing, this would be a four+ star book in my opinion.

To be fair, I loved the story that was told. I just REALLY didn't like the way it was told. This is a story about a young Keeper, Mark and his friends. They are all thrown into an adventure that none of them are prepared for. They all have special powers behind the veil but they don't really know how to use them. But they have an evil wizard to kill and a couple of moms to rescue.
Here's the problem. If this author used a proofreader for this book, fire them immediately!! There were so many grammatical errors that it made it really hard to read this book. Then there was the way the 'Humans' talked. It was so formal that you'd think English was their second language. I could understand the elves and dwarf talking like this, but these are modern day people. They combine their word and use slang. Not these guys.
Like I said, I loved the idea of this storyline and I even kind of got who the characters were, but with all the errors, it made getting the true story all that much harder. Hire a quality proofer on your next book and you'll have a quality story.
