Disconcerting time skip but very, very, very good addition to the series. First contact! Also, interesting development with Canderous. Also, guess Star Force will be busy developing new tech. If I was the new species, my first move would be subjugating the local pests.

Look, I love the fanboyness of this series - because, like Ready Player One, the author calls it out.

Except, apparently, when he creates Mandalorians, calls it Project Canderous (the audiobook narrator mispronounces it), and names one of the colonies Dxun.
