this book has a good introduction to the basic steps in ballet, although the descriptions and drawings are a bit confusing if you don't already know what the steps look like.

Not the most well written book in the world. It does however, fulfill its purpose, which is to accurately explain ballet technique and terminology.

2007 I took a ballet class at SMC. I got an A but with bad knees I think my teacher was lenient. Well she graded me on knowledge and effort. I'm giving this book to my local library.
