This book is a sequel to Why Buildings Stand Up. The authors promise no math and they deliver on that but the reader is still required to have some visualization skills to picture the building failures they describe. The case studies of building failures are interesting but the most entertaining chapters for some might be the last two. Chapter 17 recounts one of the authors adventures in the courtroom as an expert witness. The final chapter discusses 5 factors that will influence the safety of buildings in the future.
