I was a bit bored reading through this. It reminded me too much of my A-Level Economics textbooks. I think the author could have made the content a LOT more interesting with better chosen pictures and more inviting analogies and descriptions.
I don't necessarily think Economics is boring - indeed I have used the basic concepts of supply and demand and market theory extensively through my life - and it has helped explain a lot in the modern world.
However, I think this book is boring. I also didn't appreciate the 'take' on socialism/Marxism - I wasn't expecting something particularly sympathetic at all in an Economics book, but the treatment of the subject was quite insulting.
Anyway. Regardless of the above, I will probably come back to this book as a reference, as it did make the concepts clear and is well-written - and ultimately I need to know more about the subject and this isn't a bad introduction, and I don't have a better one.
