About the author

Award-winning feminist speculative fiction author Sarah Branson spent close to thirty years as a midwife before turning to fiction. This set of 4 books was suggested to me for my next read. I didn't think I would enjoy a post apocalyptic novel. However, the set was a free download on Amazon so thought I might as well give it a go. How pleased I did. I have just finished book 1 and loved the story, all the characters and how they fitted into the drama of Kat's eventful life of struggles and courage at being enslaved, her challenges of a pirate and the love of a new family. It's so well written and I was hooked from the beginning. I'm not one for long reviews, so I will finish this review now and get on with reading book 2 of the set!
