Not Paleo

Not paleo by any stretch of the imagination. Coffee grounds & cocoa powder are not paleo. Ghee is derived from a dairy product... Why not use lard or tallow instead? Coconut aminos are not paleo either. Nor is 'cheap red wine'... Admittedly, the author has tried to cut out all the 'evil' products of the agricultural revolution, but she failed. Carrots didn't exist prior to the agricultural revolution, they were bred by humans from a plant we call Queen Anne's Lace. Either the author is uninformed or she hopes that her readers are uninformed.

Ok book, hard to find ingredients

I was really excited when I found this book because I love to use my slow cooker, but was disappointed when I looked at the recipes. It calls for a lot of ingredients I've never heard of or cannot find around where I live. I showed the book it my husband and told him to pick some recipes to try and he couldn't find any that he wanted. This book may contain good recipes if you are able to find the ingredients.

Great oamc ideas

Most of these recipes make a TON of food. I premixed some of the rubs and plan on using the crockpot meals in once a month cooking, mainly planning on stretching the meat over several meals, and for some of them possibly only having to cook one meat a week. I didn't see a single recipe that wasn't paleo compliant.

Good recipes

This is a decent looking recipe book that is arranged into beef, chicken and pork. I wish there were some pictures in the book to accompany the recipes but most if them seem sound and easy and the couple i have made were tasty

I received this book at a discount for an honest and unbiased review
