Language is a little harsh at times but well written and not as predictable as most.

Brilliant series. Some romance but not too much. The martial arts etc will definitely appeal to male readers while Myron's inherently noble pov is refreshing and engaging.

I enjoyed this second book in the Myron Bolitar series even though I figured out the mystery fairly easily. I stopped reading after it became obvious what was going on, but the humor and quirky characters brought me back, and I'm glad they did.

Fade Away (Myron Bolitar #3)

I'm surprised that the book about golf has managed to be the one I've enjoyed the most since the first book in the series. One thing bugged me, why are teenaged girls in the Philadelphia area, during the late '90s, talking like California Valley girls from the '80s?

One False Move (Myron Bolitar #5)

Obviously, I enjoyed this entry in the Bolitar series. I found the mystery to be interesting enough and while some of the twists were pretty obvious, others were a surprise. I really like how the characters continue to grow and change as the books progress.

The Final Detail (Myron Bolitar #6)
4 stars

This book showed new insights into the Myron Bolitar character, forcing him to grow in ways the other books haven't. Reeling from the events of "One False Move," Myron runs away to an island where he spends his time lounging with a woman he didn't know before he got there. The steady Esperanza is arrested, his company is losing clients hand over fist, his father has a health scare and Myron has to be collected by Win because he hasn't a clue about anything happening. I really enjoyed the way events unfolded in the book and I'm looking forward to the next one.

First of all, I'm not a huge fan of mysteries. Second of all, These books were set in the mid-late 90s and were dated (if I had to read "car-phone" one more time I was going to scream or read about someone having "America Online" I was going to break my Kindle). Third of all I loved them and read seven books in eight days. I dunno, they were just good. Sometimes Myron was too much of a smartass, and Win was over the top with his "articulate". But those two, along with Esperanza, made a loveable bunch of misfits. Maybe it's because I'm not so much into mysteries, I kept thinking the books could use a little more sex. But that's just me. Overall, strong writing, likeable characters, and complex plots overcame any shortcomings.

I read this whole series. Enjoyed the characters and the humor. Sometimes the mystery isn't too hard to figure out and sometimes it fools me. Just a very fun escape to read on my Kindle while walking on the treadmill. But now that I've finished the series I'll have to find something else fun! Hopefully, he'll write another one so I can find out what is happening with the characters.
