This review may say more about me than it does the book. I love mysteries, as I like to pit myself against the detective (or whatever), and see if I can figure out the who and what before the sleuth. It drives me nuts when an author uses a deus ex machina, and, in this novel. the author introduced not just one but two new characters to resolve the ending. Though it was a good, solid story, I feel cheated, as the story was not solvable this way.

I think the novel was good. It’s an exciting story, and the characters were described very well. The book was written in a good way, and the dialogues were interesting, but I don’t like the love inspired part. I had preferred more focus on the mystery part.
But I really want to read more books by Lisa Harris in the future! She’s a good writer, and I think she could be a really famous author someday.

A second chance.
Loved this book from the beginning. There was always suspense in every page and it kept you guessing. There was death, old love and new love, growing closer to God and at the end peace. I think this is a book that a teenager would love, a twenty to seventy would live. Very well written.

I liked the concept of Danielle and Jason reconnecting after 10 years apart. The fact that both Danielle and Jason's best friend were identity theft victims made the plot twists seem authentic. Aside from that, the plotline was a standard romance - although Jason's dad and Danielle's mom were some of the best utilized minor characters I've read.

I read the first couple chapters and skimmed the rest. It didn't grab me and I have far too many other books screaming "Read Me" to try to get through this one.

This is a great story with lots of suspense. It includes identity theft, betrayal, kidnapping, and murder. There are a couple of clean romances also. I found it quick to read and enjoyable.

Good book with lots of suspense. Seemed realistic for the most part .. the focus was on Danielle, a single mother, business owner and con target. Jason Ryan, the hero, is not as well drawn.
The formula must be for an action-packed story versus description and character development.
I like this author and look forward to reading more of her books.

Danielle Corbett lived a seemingly ordinary life, until she received an ominous phone call one night from a stranger delivering a warning to her. Shortly after the phone call, Danielle responds to a swimmer in distress only to find once she pulls him ashore that he's been shot. Another man who witnessed the rescue attempt, hurries down the beach to offer assistance when Danielle realizes who he is- her college sweetheart and ex-fiance, Jason Ryan. Not only is Jason taken aback that he and Danielle's paths have crossed again, he is also stunned to realize that the man who has been shot is his business partner and best friend, Garrett Peterson- the man who also called to warn Danielle she was in danger. As Danielle and Jason team up to investigate Garrett's strange death, clues begin to fall into place linking Danielle to a secret Garrett kept from his business partner and to a dangerous identity thief- one that threatens her financial security and the safety of her family. Not to mention that her pairing with Jason not only forces Danielle to address the hurt she caused him when she broke off their engagement years earlier, but also requires her to examine whether or not their romance should be given a second chance.
Stolen Identity was eye opening because the horror that Danielle faces when her identity is stolen and the ease in which the criminal could turn her world upside down could happen to anyone. I also liked the way Harris plays out the potential rekindling of Danielle and Jason's romance because you don't know for certain until further into the story if the two will have a fresh start or if Danielle's resistance will bury the relationship for good.

I found the characters well developed and the story line good even though somewhat alarming when I realised how easily the situation can happen. It surely serves as a warning to us all to safeguard our identity as far as we can.
I bought this book after interviewing Lisa Harris on my website. The story sounded so good that I had to buy the book and read it. I wasn't disappointed. Thank you Lisa for a great read!

Stolen Identity by Lisa Harris held promise for me at the beginning but as the pages went on, it was harder and harder for me to read.
Maybe my expectations were just too high. I do love mysteries and thrillers. I really think that this author has a lot of potential, the dialogue was good and the book held my attention at the start. I really believe that she could write a better book.
The worst thing for me about this book was amount of writing to formula. I think the book would have been so much better if there was no love interest, just the woman with the child as the victim. Also there were a lot of generalizations in this book about identity theft. I would have liked it so much more if the author researched the topic much more. That would have added so much interest to this book.
Since the author did relatively OK, I would like to read something else by her if it was not in the Love Inspired Suspense Group. It may be that she was just following the guidelines carefully.
I wouldn't recommend this book but I am interested in what else this author has written

What Garrett did to deserve this death? What was he involved? It was an innocent victim or have some guilt to atone?
But throughout the book this will be clarified.
There is another victim - Danielle Corbitt. With much more than her own life in danger.
The plot is not simple and the enemy may be closer than Danielle expects.
Will she be able to survive and rescue her life and the life of her own daughter?
The answer will be only available to those who read this great book.

Not my favorite of Harris, but still pretty good. The scary thing though, is while I was reading Stolen Identity, which is about identity theft, I got a phone call from my credit card company telling me there was suspicious activity on my account. Turns out someone had stolen my credit card number and was making purchases...so it could happen to anyone!

Stolen Identity is an O.K. book.
It has taken me forever to read it.
The characters are interesting enough.
I was disappointed at the ending.
It really was such a simple solution.
Also a lot of editing mistakes in this book.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense novel, as it kept me reading the story waiting for the conclusion. Great characters, suspenseful and believable plot and upstanding morals emphasized.

Not as good as the others I've read by her, but it was a fast read and captured my attention from the start. A few things near the end seemed a bit far-fetched, hence the rating.
