This was the required textbook for my sportscasting class and the professor had us read the entire thing. So I saw how downhill the editing got and just how many type errors kept popping up the further the book went. It was like the editor started reading it and became less and less interested, only to fall asleep on the last handful of chapters. Also, if I had to read “in concert with” one more time, I was going to rip my hair out.
However, the book is very informative, helpful, and even interesting. I’d say it’s a must read for anybody going into sports media. Despite it being riddled with structural and grammatical errors, it was well-worth the read and deserving of a high rating. One of the few textbooks I’ve actually enjoyed.
