After injuring her best friend in a car accident, Cassidy Blake decided to leave town permanently. But now that her mother's sick, she's back to make amends. Sheriff Tate Lynch doesn't want to forgive his former fiancée for his sister's injury or for breaking his heart. And he certainly doesn't want to admit he still has feelings for her. The community can see her commitment to the town as she helps rebuild a church destroyed in a storm. But Tate's afraid of history repeating itself, even though Cassidy's actions prove she's a different person. Could the last secret she harbors about the accident drive Tate away for good?
Belle Calhoune writes heartwarming, inspirational romance novels set in small, cozy towns. Married to her college sweetheart and living in southern Connecticut, she is the mother of two girls. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she is one of five children. Growing up across the street from a public library allowed her to become an avid reader who aspired to be a romance writer. When she isn't writing, she enjoys reading, spending time in Cape Cod, traveling and enjoying time with friends and family. Belle hopes her books will provide readers with inspiration, entertainment and an escape from day to day life.
Poignant and inspiring! A wonderfully written romantic story that was a joy to read from beginning to end! I love reunion stories and Belle Calhoune, with her wise and creative voice, weaves a tale of two hurt people finding their way back to each other. I think we all can relate to Tate and Cassidy and their poor choices in childhood, and I think these two wonderful characters have a lot to teach us through their mistakes.

A sweet reunion story. Pulled back into town to help her mother battle cancer, Cassidy has to deal with her past and the hurt her decision create. Secrets have lead to misunderstanding and broken hearts. Tate and Cassidy's path back to love makes them stronger than they ever thought they could be. Heartwarming story of love and forgiveness.
I loved this book, so much I would say it's my favorite read of the summer. From page one Cassidy and Tate’s story drew you right in. I couldn’t stop turning the pages, I had to see if Tate and the town would forgive Cassidy for the accident she caused. Tate is a true book boyfriend, who wouldn’t fall in love with the handsome sheriff who is also a rancher, you get the best of both worlds, a man in uniform and jeans. Cassidy is someone you would like to be friends with, her caring loving spirit, pulls you right into her circle. If you love second chance romances this is a must read. Please tell me this is the first in the series. I can't wait to read more.
This story shows what fault & then forgiveness can look like. She had committed a huge error/mistake/bad decision. The deed resulted in loneliness & separation. Through faith, grace & honesty, she received forgiveness & maturity.
I loved reading this book and finding a new inspirational author to read at the same time! I am already trying to decide which book of hers to read next! God bless you!
A horrible accident eight years ago seperated four best friends and broke the engagement of Cassidy Blake and Tate Lynch. Now, Cassidy is back to help take care of her mother who's been diagnosed with breast cancer, and to try to reconcile the past. But Tate Lynch is still hurting, not only for the pain Cassidy caused him, but for the pain and agony she put his sister through.
A forgiving sister, a storm, a horse ranch, and friendship play together in this book to draw this couple closer, but an unfortunate secret about the accident may just tear them apart again. This book is a light-hearted and sweet.
