When Rose Jensen’s grandfather dies, he leaves her enough money to save her parents’ failing business and get her through UCLA. The only catch – she has to marry Lee Montenegro, the infuriating half-Spanish, all-playboy transfer. Rose and Lee’s grandfathers were fast friends, and betrothed their grandchildren to each other.

Lee wants the money to run from his suffocating family, and turns his full burning charisma on Rose, but she won’t give in. She’ll never marry someone she doesn't love, and who doesn't love her. But memories of a mysterious boy in her childhood haunt her, and Lee insists they know each other. With her parent’s pressures mounting, her scholarship slipping, and Lee’s advances heating up with more than just money-lust, Rose is torn between doing the right thing for her family, and doing the right thing for her heart.

**This story contains language and sexual scenes, some of which may be unsuitable for younger readers.

What the hell???? That was cruel....

For once again, Sara left me hanging in the air without fresh air to breath...

What the bloody hell???
That was totally unfair for both Rose and Lee....
Shit... Fuck... God damn it...

I need immediately the next book and i need something really, really good!!!
I can't stand it if everything is wrong for a long time!!!!
That couple deserve to be together after all the things they've been through!!!!
You fuckin' bitch, Kiera!!! I hate you with every cell of my being....

I hope that a car will cross over you or that your private plane will crush in the middle of nowhere or....

Nevermind!!! I know that i'm getting mean right now, but i'm angry!!!
Really furious and i want her so badly to walk away for them....

Well, in this book, he have Rose and Lee...
Rose is a college student and her biggest dream is someday to open her own bakery. She is studying and working so hard, she's not partying and she hasn't ever kissed or being in a date... But lately her parents has financial problems and she is about to lose her scholarship... Everything change when her grantfather dies and he is leaving her a weird will that requires to marry a stranger to her boy...

But then she finds out that the boy is Lee and the last weeks all the time Lee is in front of her...

Lee is also in college and he is in the swim team. He is a womanizer and all the girls are wrapped around him... He likes Rose from the very first moment and he is trying to charm her, but she doesn't fall that easy...

Rose refuses to marry a guy just for money or without loving him and she 's not going to marry Lee, even though she catch herself every day to like him ever more... and even though she needs the money desperately...

The strangest thing of all is that Lee reclaims for her to remember him... But she haven't seen him never before... Or she had???
And what about that weird dreams that she is seeing every damn night????

I really liked that story... It was ordinary but at the same time was special and intrigue... I liked Rose and Lee. I liked the way that fell for each other...

I didn't like that Rose accused him without thinking about that twice and walk away from him... But i liked that Lee was willing to sacrifice himself for her shake!!!!
Damn!! I don't like the cliffhangers... They are killing me!!!!
And i don't like the misunderstandings.... The results are disastrous and painful...
Fuck, i'm hurting inside like if i was me who feel betrayed and heartbroken...
I have to find out immediately what will come next... Damn it!!!

WTH!!!!! I am going to have to start paying attention to these books with the freaking cliffhangers.

I have to admit I was worried for a bit, I was thinking that I wasn't gonna really like the story, maybe it's going to be too rushed but it finally started clicking and I really started to get into it. And then....

A frigging, hold you by one toe while dangling cliffhanger. I so was not expecting that!

I liked the characters but Rose tended to have me a little...

I know she meant well but that sister needed to realize she can't save the world.

Kierea well she just needed a really check best served like this.....

Or maybe....

She had me, she really did. I was questioning everything, it actually broke my hear for Rosé.
Broken hearted photo: brknhrtd.gif

Then I learned the truth and I was....
Shocked photo: shocked shocked.png

Guess Rose should of asked questions first and ran later. You know what they say about assuming something?

I liked Grace from the interactions given with her. She loves Lee and so understandable why she hates her father I don't care much for him either. Jen I really liked her she's a little firecracker.

By the end I was...

And I cannot believe I have to wait after what happened. That was just crazy. I knew what kiera was going to do, so she didn't surprise me but it still crushed me.

To the author....

Wait, what?!?? Why??
description

That ending though...
description

So, meet Rose Jensen. Describing herself as: ..a lanky 5’10. My nickname in highschool was Plank – for my height and flat chest...My pale blonde hair is my only real pretty feature – fading streaks of sky-blue the last evidence of a high school senior dare.

She is not only a responsible student who maintains her UCLA scholarship by studying hard, but she is also a responsible daughter who helps her family.

Also, she works in a bakery to earn a few bucks and she plans to establish her own bakery, someday.

And everyday, she goes to the same routine...

But then...

The voice is deep. Messy black hair hangs in a guy’s hazel eyes – his lashes long and cheekbones so sharp and high I thought he was a girl at first glance. The faint stubble around his bow-shaped lips and broad, bare chest prove me wrong. And the tiny girl’s shirt with Care Bears on it he clutches to his naked crotch proves me very wrong. Naked. Crotch.

She bumps into schmexy-mr-mchottie-pants-and-friggin-half-spanish Lee Montenegro!!! And with only a Care Bears shirt covering his package *wink wink* OH PLUS DID I MENTION HE'S A SWIMMER

description

description

HE HAD TO BE A SWIMMER.....I AM SO SWOONIFIED (is there even a word like that? WHATEVER I AM SWOONIFIED)

description

So, after that incident, they started bumping into each other (literally, for the most part). These scenes made me laugh. They were super hilarious!!!
description

BUT WAIT!

Rose's grandfather died...and then something unexpected was informed to her.

You see, her grandfather and Lee's grandfather were good old mates way before then and they made a bet, a pact if you will. Now this ain't just an ordinary bet!

This pact of both their grandfathers holds a will that'll give them a huge amount of money....on one condition!!!

........Rose and Lee needs to get married

Like husband-wife legit marriage
description

So, the fun goes on from there. AND LET ME TELL YOU THERE ARE LOTS OF FUN
description

And there were the sweet scenes that would make you go SWOON!
description

description

And there were secrets from the past unraveled.....even hidden feelings were exposed.
description

description

description

And oh yeah, did I mention there were steamy scenes?

description

description

IT WAS ALL SO VERY FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS ENJOYING MYSELF, REALLY!!!!!

But of course, there was a "WTF WHAT NOW WHYYY" moment!!!
Hahaha again with the twists, Miss Sara Wolf =))

So yeah, towards the end I was like
description

So yeah, I am off to the next book!!

Anyway, 4 I-JUST-LOVE-SWIMMERS-BUT-YEAH-THIS-WAS-A-FUN-BOOK STARS!!!!

Arranged is about nerdy, innocent 19 year-old Rose who is attending college in Los Angeles. Rose’s family is falling apart. Her grandfather died and her parents are having a financial crisis about to lose their business and home. Not only that but Rose is losing her scholarship and will no longer be able to afford college.

That is when Rose finds out about her grandfather’s will giving her money if she marries a grandson of his long lost friend. Rose immediately says no and wants nothing to do with this arranged marriage… The grandson is Lee, the college playboy who Rose has seen way too much of sneaking out of dorm rooms. They are complete opposites and Lee has some secrets of his own.

Wow! I will warn you now! There is a nasty cliff hanger on this book, I seriously feel like I was punched in the stomach after reading the “ending” in Arranged. It just stops right when the book was getting AMAZING! The last 10% of the book was phenomenal; I am so glad book two is scheduled to come out at the end of May because my body couldn’t take a long wait. Wow what a mean cliff hanger Ms. Wolf ;)

Arranged took me a little bit to get into the story. I was really torn with the characters. I liked Rose a lot and respected her strive for her education and future as well as her commitment for her family. At the same time, I found her to be a bit immature but I think that also played along with her innocent character, maybe she was just too innocent for me. Lee, now he is an interesting guy. I usually love bad boys who turn good when they fall in love but I just couldn’t trust him. I felt like he was playing Rose and was falling way too quickly and the whole “arrangement” seemed a bit off to me. At the same time I loved Lee… I know, confusing right? First, he’s a swimmer and all I kept thinking about is “He must have a hot swimmers bod.” Second, he came off super sexy and by the end of Arranged I was falling for Lee. I think in the next book he will really prove himself. I can’t wait!

I love all the deception and mystery that came out towards the end. I think the author left a fantastic set up for Disarranged (Arranged #2). I hope Rose and Lee both step up and Lee doesn’t break my heart because I am putting faith into him after what he did for Rose at the end. As you can tell the second half really won me over! It was great!

"I love you Rose Jensen. Don't you ever fucking doubt that again. No matter what happens from now on- never forget that."

This is a great, fun romance! Don’t be afraid of the cliff hanger, the second book comes out soon!

I give Arranged 3.5 Stars.

I’m cleaning out several of these that have been on my Kindle forever, and came across this one. I can’t even remember buying it… I’m actually hoping it was a freebie, because it was so not my cup of tea. Lee and Rose are being set up into a MOC, that she’s not to pleased about. He’s a TOTAL manwhore, and she’s a good girl. My issues? It’s super immature.

Bottom Line- Not for me, but it ends in a cliffy, and I have the 2nd book, so I’ll try to see it through. I couldn’t connect at all, and it didn’t have a smooth flow. Maybe I’m just too old for it. 😊

It was a good book just really did not like all the male lead's scenes with other woman especially as he was supposed to be so in love with the heroine it just made me feel icky knowing he was with another woman and by all means enjoying it but was doing all this for the heroine..... Sorry but that just did not wash with me and the heroine was way too understanding for my liking come on your man is boinking another woman and u still want him??? Each to their own I guess....

I was lucky enough to win an ebook of this and just finished reading it and all I can say is what the holy hell is up with that ending?! It pretty much shattered my heart! Second book needs to happen, like yesterday.
This book is fantastic. That's all I have to say.
Just read it for yourself and see what I'm talking about. I have a feeling Sara Wolf is going to be one of my new favorite authors. Great job!
Only complaint, not long enough!
And I absolutely adore the cover! It's gorgeous.

I lost brain cells. No lie. This went on my too-dumb-for-me shelf. I think I want to create a new shelf for the writing alone. I don’t think my go-back-to-writing-fanfic shelf is low enough.

I should have listened to Jac K.

She was kinder, I can’t even give it more than 1 star.

I’m still reading the next, I want to see if the evil OW gets hers...and on scroll, I can speed read the fuck out of it ;)

4 stars..I won this book in a recent contest..yay!

Rose is a grade A student, who keeps a low profile, whilst working hard to justify her scholarship she has earned for entry to UCLA. She is made aware of her grandfathers will that states that if she was to marry Lee Montenego, and the marriage lasts 3 months, a payout is realised & they can split it between them. Lee's grandfather was a great friend of Rose's and their mutual agreement had resulted in this condition. Rose knows that the money will secure her finishing at UCLA, as well as saving her parents failing business. But can she marry someone she doesn't love?

Rose's first impressions of Lee are that of a playboy with a smart mouth. But she discovers it's a small world and understands she may have known Lee longer than she thinks.

The story was woven well and whilst, initially taking a while to capture me, suddenly develops sweetly. Then BANG..a twist I wasn't expecting and a sudden urge to need the next book!

This is a great start for this authors debut novel.

He pants. "I can feel your heartbeat."
"We are kind of close," I laugh. He presses his forehead to mine.
"No inside. I can feel your heartbeat through your insides. Shit, is that too creepy? Forget I said it. Sounded way more romantic in my head."

Funny. Bantery. Angsty. Cliffy. Now, I just need the sequel...

Sara Wolf is a new author for me and this was my first book to read from her – it will certainly not be my last. I was immediately drawn into this book and think you will enjoy it too!
Rose Jensen attends UCLA on a scholarship. She is super nerdy and has never had a boyfriend. One day she literally falls at the feet of a very naked Lee Montenegro, the hot swim team player. Lee attempts to talk to Rose following this initial meeting and she is initially flattered by his interest.
When Rose’s grandfather dies and leaves her money to save her parents failing business, she finally understands what Lee’s interest in her is as she learns the condition to receiving her grandfather’s money is to marry Lee. You see, Rose and Lee’s grandfathers were friends and had arranged for their grandchildren to eventually marry.
Though this plan is farfetched in my mind, I wonder if Rose will give Lee a chance. There is a definite underlying attraction between Rose and Lee that makes me feel giddy inside :) And at times, I wish that Rose would let her walls down to live and experience life.
Lee insinuates that he and Rose know each other from the past from Rose doesn’t remember him at all.
“Why? Why am I so great to you?” My voice rises.
“You’re beautiful. Not party girl cute or cheerleader slutty, but a soft, quiet sort of beautiful. Elegant.” Lee counts off on his fingers. “You’re sweet, even to people you don’t know. You’re smart as a whip – the professors on campus won’t shut up about you.”
For once, I don’t have an insult to hurl at him on the tip of my tongue. I’m speechless. Lee flashes a smile and counts on another finger.
“And you saved me. You saved my life, Rose. And even if you don’t remember that, I do. You saved my life. So I want to make yours better – no, the best. I want you to have the best food and the best laughs and the best sex. I want you to have the best of everything.”
And as everything comes full circle and secrets are revealed, I am wondering if it is all worth the price of happiness and love. Will this couple ever be together and can their love overcome?
I was SHOCKED to say the least at the ending and yes, it is a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it is! Let’s say it involves a witch of an ex-girlfriend. The parting words that gave me goose bumps and made me want to scream in madness because I knew where it was going were:
“I love you, Rose Jensen. Don't you ever fucking doubt that again. No matter what happens from now on - never forget that"

My only real complaint about the book was that it was very short and I am wondering if the entire book could have been done in one book rather than in two.
Read an excerpt from Book 2 – Disarranged scheduled to come out at the end of May on our blog tour stop. Thank goodness we don’t have long to wait to see what happens next with this couple. This was a great debut novel for Sara and I very much look forward to what she has in store for us next!

Enter to win it on I ♥ Bookie Nookie Reviews 11/14-11/17.

If I can suspend reality enough to fall in love with a vampire, then I can certainly be open-minded enough to accept a modern-day arranged marriage.

Rose’s grandfather dies and in his will leaves his granddaughter, Rose, with $300,000 provided she marry Lee Montenegro for at least three months. If, at the end of the three months, she isn’t in love, then she is free to take her half of the money and move on. Rose’s parents’ business is in bad shape and while she’d never consider something so preposterous under normal circumstances, she’d do almost anything to rescue her family. But Lee isn’t just anyone, he’s a gorgeous player and male slut who she could actually see herself falling for, and therein lies the problem. Can she risk her heart in order to save her family?

ARRANGED is such a fun story I couldn’t put it down. I easily fell in love with Rose and found her humility endearing and believable. I also loved being seduced by the ever-charming Lee. While I sometimes felt like I was missing parts of the story and could have used a little more explanation of what was happening and why, I never felt the story lacked for it. I loved Lee and Rose and can’t wait to find out what happens in the sequel, DISARRANGED. I gave ARRANGED 4.5 stars for its funny, sexy, lovable story and characters.

I thought I'd give this book a shot after the author won me over with 'Lovely Vicious'.....however I'm not going to make myself finish this one.

First of all, books I know I'll end up enjoying and are worthwhile the read usually suck me in by the very first pages/chapters. I can tell whether or not I'm going to like certain authors writing style and the way the story/plot/characters are described as well as character dialogue. With Lovely vicious I was hooked from page one. With 'Arranged' however, the dialogue in which I was raving about in LV, was forced, awkward, flat and offensive in this one.

Let me give you some examples of the disgusting content that was included about gays and disabled:

"Sup, pretty boy? How was your gay morning sex with your buddies?"

Homophobia? Check.

Then we have this gem:

"Don't you have some ho to pick up somewhere else?"

So sick about constantly reading about slutshaming.

"Keep that patriarchal society down, one playboy retard at a time"

Charming. You can see why I decided to pass on this one. Not worth my time in the slighest.

Edit: All things aside, I'm still very much a fan and the author does have other books that are much better than this. Such as the Lovely Vicious series which is by far her best work to date.

My favorite thing about this book was how deliciously sexy it was, and yet at the same time, shameless enough to be awkward and hilarious.

"Lee's laugh dies as he looks at me. 'You look a lot different when you aren't red in the face and screaming 'perv.''

'You look a lot different without the Care Bears clutched to your crotch," I say. Why am I being an ass? Just play it cool, Rose. Think cool like ice, Antarctica, James Dean's smirk, Beyonce's Hair. Jen's expression grows amused. Lee clears his throat.

'The Care Bears were a metaphor for my sunny personality and ability to spread love.'

'So THAT'S what you were doing in room 109-spreading 'love.''"

You know the problem with reading on a Kindle? The ending of a book can really sneak up on you. And in this case, I couldn't have been more shocked! I think my heart might be a little bit broken right now. Thank God there is a sequel because Ms. Wolf you seriously need to fix this shit.

I really enjoyed getting to know Rose and Lee. I got a little confused when all the subterfuge was revealed, but I really, really enjoyed this story (and the sexy times). Until the end.

The one good thing, I found about this book is - the writing. I started the book liking the fmc, but ended up hating her. I agree with some reviews that a lot of attention have been paid of model like looks..Me? i would rather see some normal looking girl gets out of her shell and kick some ass. Here, our heroine is an average nerdy girl who ( we would later come to know) actually has a super model like physic but ofcourse she doesn't know that..on the other hand like most new adult heroes, our mmc here, Lee is a total player and master of one night stands..then hero meets model figured beautiful nerdy girl and whooop! Lee is whipped! Added to that is a mystery element of much tried and tested amnesia,a little bit of arranged marriage thingy and some good banter, a lotttt of miscommunication ...but then expectedly something unexpected happens ..and cliffhanger! i saw part 2 of this book and am relieved that I will definitely not read it. 1 star

Thank you to Sara Wolf for the giveaway. I was one of the lucky people to get a free copy.

Beautiful cover, but it didn't fit with the story...
Great plot, great twist and what a cliffhanger!

This is a relativly "short" story and the author kept me interested through the whole story. All the characters blend well and they all had their own place in the story, even if it was brief.

If the cover would have fit the story, this would have been a 5 star read for me.

There is room for improvement but I really really liked the story already, also because it was something that I haven't read before yet and with all of these books popping up from everywhere, it's getting hard to come across a story you haven't seen before yet.

Keep up the good work and PLEASE don't wait forever to give us the rest of the story.

Awful cliffhanger but only because it is such an emotionally charged love story. Lee and Rose have a history together. Childhood crush grows to family interference and matures to a deep love. Then just when you think you have it all figured out, this insane girl Keira enters the story and blows up the book. I mean she is certifiable and sexy and out for one thing, Lee. Worth the read and I was able to start the sequel Disarranged right away.

- Liked it overall
- Quick read
- A bit too angsty at times
- When I think back on it, the story line isn't that original especially the scene at the end which reminded me of at least one other book I had read
- Explicit scenes didn't do it for me
- Cliffhanger ending which I sort of saw coming, probably will be resolved in next book
- Liked the characters
- Good writing for an indie author

I enjoy reading stories like this

* Hero is Crazy in Love
* Adorably hot
* Manwhore
* Sparkling chemistry between the two leads
* There is no depressed/angsty mood

I read so many sad / depressing books lately (no complaints there) and i was in the mood for something light to read.
Of course there was some drama stuff there, but not too much in my opinion.

the end? wtf was that? cruel cliffhanger.

for being such a tiny book, it has got some major developments. the characters are pretty strong, and well developed. it doesn't feel unfinished - the story, obviously it does - what with the cliffhanger and whatnot, but overall it was a pretty sweet read.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
