I was hoping for ladder diagrams of different call types but the packet explanations were alright.

Ehh.... I suppose I wanted too much from this book..but I ordered this online, and when I got it, I was already disappointed at it's small size. I read the chapter on SIP...it leaves a lot out... It gives you a very high level look at many of the VoIP methods but doesn't take a deep dive into any... I feel like this isn't up to O'Reily standards...they are all out writing 'definitive' guides that go into as much detail as you need...
