4.5 stars. Very good book that uses a "select your own bookbinding adventure" style to help you put together a journal perfectly suited to your requirements. Recommended.

As Diehn's other bookbinding books, there is good information to be found in here. I thought the presentation, in the form of "Choose Your Own Bookbinding Adventure" unique. For those just getting started binding beyond a simple pamphlet stitch who have no other bookbinding books yet, this would be a decent place to start. Diehn does a good job of stepping the reader through the decision-making process. Anyone who has read and put into practice any of Diehn's other books probably doesn't need this kind of handholding when choosing what binding and cover style will best serve their future journal's purpose.
