Whose side are you on, the Don's or the enemies?
"Death to the enemies of my family." -The Giacanti motto
S. W. Frank resides in New York. Art, poetry, music and writing were always quiet joys. A former NYC emergency medical worker and contributing writer for her law school journal, the author decided to pursue the obsession of storytelling full-time. Since then she dusted off manuscripts and decided to share stories with the public.
The Guardian, 2013 article, 'The Gems of Indie Publishing' readers' have stated, "[S.W. Frank] is bold and unapologetic in her delivery."
The Alfonzo series, voted on Goodreads as 1 of the Best Mob and Multicultural/Interracial Romance's for 2012.
The author states, "I write stories with multicultural characters that are desirable, smart and intriguing. They're stories of interesting people that I wanted to read and my small contribution to literary world to include diversity."
Alfonso and the gang are back at it again. Giuseppe is quickly becoming one of my favorite mobsters. Shanda has softened him slightly which is only for the better. It was nice to see them resolve their issues and I am hoping we get to read a lot more about them in the future. I can't help but want the family to welcome Sergio in and teach him their way of life. If they don't and soon I can see betrayal on the horizon from Sergio. Alfonzo and Selange were their normal cutesy selves. Alfonzo's current betrayer was a bit of a shocker to me. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of that saga unfolds. Overall not as long and juicy as the previous Alfonzo books, but if you have grown to know and love these characters you'll enjoy this continuation of their stories.
MORTE AI NEMECI DELLA MIA FAMIGLIA. DEATH TO THE ENEMIES OF MY FAMILY.
I thought this book was EXCELLENT but I had to take a star off my rating because of the editing or lack there of... The story itself gets 4 solid stars!
"Never forget the road which led to your destination, those who have are often the travelers most lost." -Alfonzo
I'm doing this... for two reasons... 1. Lou! OMG LOU WHY?!! 2. This one ended way too soon for me. I'm really missing the longer versions of this series.
That being said, this was another beautiful, erotic, intense at times, and flat out hilarious edition to this series/saga.
If you've been following it I think you're going to love this one as well. If not, where the heck have you been? And start this Saga from the beginning!
Loved it and have read twice already. Geo has been one of my favourites since book 2. Everyone is so serious his comedic timings in the books is spot on and releases the tension. Alfonzo's tantrums & threats roll off of him like water droplets. Shanda is the perfect blend of Amelda and Selange with a dash of Ari. She's tough, loyal, smart, and can curse with the best of them...Lol.
Now that this storyline has been tied it will free up the next book to focus on the big threat of this hidden enemy is. My money is on Bruno. He's too slick and I feel he has a hand in Alberti's death. He's just as connected as the Gicanti family and is not cowered Alfonzo. Can't wait for the next book!
This was a cute book I liked Giuseppe at the hospital that was so funny. I am ready to read more about Giuseppe and Shanda I know their relationship will be hot. Alfonzo and Selange are still a hot couple and I am glad to see Nico is back. I really would like to see a more positive story with Sergio he is Nico Nephew I don't understand why he is not embraced more I feel he would be a more positive character with guidance. I enjoyed this book it was a nice Christmas gift from the author but I can't wait to read the next book I know it will be exciting.
Okay this book made me laugh out loud a few times. There were some jokes in this one. I am enjoying the brothers relationship. Sergio is a hoot.
I wished that this book was exclusively about Giuseppe and Shanda's relationship. I prefer their relationship to Selange and Alfonzo. I wish they were given a lot more time in the stories because the dynamics in their relationship is very interesting.
The Donnas show that they can kill too in this one. I do like that the women are bad ass in the series. They are real Mafia women.
I laughed a ton in this one. Geo is a mess and everything about this one made me laugh. Not sure about Sergio still, seems like he wants to do right but keeps doing the wrong things to people who won't fall for his drama. I knew Nico wouldn't stay gone long, I really like that him and Alonzo are getting along better. Who can you trust?! I thought Sophie was going to be the one who blabbed the info but I'm starting to think maybe Bruno is going to be the real threat seems like he's coming on too strong and Josef is going to spill the beans. Can't wait for the next one!
You know I love Alfonzo! I just can't put into words how hot he is. Selange is putting on her big girl thongs and protraying the mob wife perfectly. I can;t wait to read the next one!
It just keep on, keeping on with deceit by those clos to the Diaz/Giacanti Family. What's up with Sergio, beside young and dumb. He needs to get his crap together. Continues to keep the reader glued to the book and turning them pages!
Alfonzo proves that the enemies of his family will die. No one threatens family and live. We see the family is recovéring and healing from hurt and betrayal. I am so relieved that Alfonzo and Selange and Nico and Arianna have repaired their relationships and have become stronger because of what they've all been through together. In this book, we see a lifetime of secrets being revealed and big men brought down. Alfonzo learned about Semira, and Geo learned about his mother's secret. Alberto comes to His end through betrayal and Shanda's father is brought to his knees.
It tickled me to see a big tough alpha Mafioso like Geo being brought down by childbirth and a baby. That was so funny to read. We are seeing Giuseppe mature and change now that he is a father. He's finally found someone who makes him want to meet this next stage of his life through Shanda and the baby. Now, let's see how his cousin Sergio can grow up as well.
I'm enjoying reading this series. I just love how the author adds plot twists that I was not expecting.
I love this series; I can't get enough of the Diaz clan. Alfonzo has grown so much since he was first appointed the head of the mob clan. Now life is about his family. Protecting his family is his number one priority. While he is the head of the mob, nothing comes between his wife, children and him. Yes he rules with an iron fist, and those who are enemies would know it would not be a wise thing to go up against Alfonzo. I've been in love with this character since book one and I am well on my way to book nine.
Ms. Frank keeps amazing me with the story line and after eight books it's still fresh and exciting. She is rocking this series and I am staying on for the ride. In this one there is a funeral, wedding, and a birth, the drama is nonstop. I am a fan of this series and will keep on with it. I can't wait to start the next book.

Affirmation was a good catch up on Alfonzo and the family......the moments with Giuseppe were to funny.......was so happy for Shanda and Giuseppe hope things work out for them and the little one.....Sal and Al were just too cute......Sergio oh Sergio not sure what their gonna do about him but I hope someone in the family reaches him so that he can grow up and be the man I'm sure that Vicent would be proud of.....So if you have not read this series please pick them up and start with book 1(Alfonzo) these are a must read....Can't wait for the next one...so PLEASE Ms. Frank don't make us wait to long.....
I give this book a 3.5, it went down a little IMO. It was more of a filler book in the series. I liked the Gee/Shanda chapters. I think a lot more people are going to get killed in that family because they have to many enemies. Well on the next one.
