The clue is in the title and because the book covers all of the helping professions it has a fairly broad sweep and is not too specific. Weld focuses on the supervisory relationship itself to a great extent with a significant emphasis on emotions and intuition. There are a number of personal insights and stories. There is also a tendency to be over introspective which is something that irritates me. However there are some practical suggestions and these are of more use. On the whole worthwhile.
