Sempre ouvi falar desse livro, Luciano Subirá leu ele mais de 20 vezes, por causa disso tive interesse em ler, não fazia ideia do que se tratava o livro, foi lendo que descobri que era um testemunho e que testemunho, uma leitura muito fluida e que cada vez mais ficava melhor o livro, testemunho de um homem alcoólatra que foi liberto por Jesus e viveu maravilhas com ele, milagres, teve uma vida extraordinária de fé que muitos não teriam coragem, e o que me alegra é que viveu uma vida simples e tudo baseada na palavra, todos cristãos deveriam ler no mínimo uma vez este livro para se animarem a viverem uma vida de fé verdadeira com Cristo.

Gostei muito dessa leitura porque me lembrou como Deus age no sobrenatural e que milagres ainda acontecem!
Foi muito bom acompanhar a trajetória de Tom e ver o quanto ele confiava toda a sua vida a Deus, ele realmente descansava no Senhor o tempo todo e nos mostra que tudo coopera para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus.

Impressionante história e muito inspiradora. Trata-se da autobiografia de um homem comum com grandes problemas durante a vida devido alcoolismo. Porém, evolui para uma vida grandiosa de propósitos na mão de um Deus bom e misericordioso. Dos milagres e passagens incríveis a conversão de uma alma é a mais fantástica delas.

Wonderful book with a beautiful Christian testimony. The new wine IS better. This one is a good read, though it might be tricky to find as it us older. Used book stores far more likely to have than a Barnes and Noble.

This is one of those books that you have to make time to read in one sitting... Why? Because it is so enthralling that it is near impossible to put down. It will appeal to the searching mind, and to the already confirmed believer.

Because of events early in my life, beginning at age eight, I divorced myself from organized denominational 'churches'. I searched but just couldn't find the living, moving Holy Spirit in any of them... I knew in my heart that He was working with His body of believers... He promised to never forsake us, and that He would lead, and guide His church to all truth.

I had been of a quest seeking for this intermittent interaction of God with man, just as was described in the book of Acts, when the Lord spoke to Phillip, and told him to go to Gaza to join with the Eunuch; and also when Peter raised the lame man at the temple and again when Peter was upon the roof praying and the Lord told him that there was a man at the door to see him.

I had witnessed the evangelistic campaigns as a teen but wasn't impressed. It wasn't what I was looking for. It must have been in the Late '70's or early '80's, when I bought my first copy of this book an immediately realised that Robert Thom had demonstrated the faith that attracts God's attention. But I was still at a loss as to where God was ministering to His church.

Robert Thom's book did not give me the revealed Word that I knew was available among the 'wise virgins'... so I kept searching. Needless to say, just a few years later, after several severe trials of faith, He drew me into His body... I lent my copy to several friends, until it was passed on and I lost it.

If you seek a stimulus to your faith, grab this book and enrich your soul... you will seek for the walk that Robert Thom had... but don't stop there... Trust the Holy Spirit to draw you into His mystical Body... Do not settle for anything less than 'election into His Bride'.

This is my third or fourth time through this book. Each time I read it I'm amazed at how good God is to us. The changes that he made in Robert Thom's life and the way that he used him throughout it always is worthy of praise.
