This complete guide to the ancient Indian natural health care system of Maharishi Ayurveda explains how Ayurveda addresses the mind, body and environment to provide a full spectrum of time-tested and cost-effective treatments. The book presents an overview complete with case studies that illustrate the latest developments in Ayurvedic research.
This is a fantastic book, I recomment to all my wellness clients, especially who's clock is ticking, so that we can discuss strategies for natural well-being using a common language of Āyurveda.
This book must and should be in every home who care about their own health and well-being using the most natural-intuitive methods from the most anscient wisdom of health-Swaasthya.
The language is the simplest English, and that too written by two MDs in the western world explainig the simple techniques which can be used by anyone including diet, life style etc. in a simple and logical way for maintaining and upgrading the best Quality of Life.
I've already gifted 10s of this book copies to my clients and well-wishers.
Its in-depth and scientific, unfortunately it cites quite old research, mostly from the 80s (book is from 2011). Since ayurveda is considered alternative to conventional medicine, it felt that they tried to overcompensate/prove themselves with research in this book. Nonetheless, the amount of fascinating research and theoretical & practical knowledge in this book is great. Im excited to apply it.
My expectations from an Ayurvedic book - learn basic ideas and lifestyle ideas. This book is low on what to do and instead focuses on research articles as proof for a lot of the concepts. So if you want a scientifically research on Ayurveda, this is a great book but it has less of what to do etc.
