It feels like the book states the obvious, but it's full of good reminders that come down to "think of other people and their feelings."

While I checked this book out from the library since I had quite liked the writing style at first perusal, the content regrettably lacks depth. I learnt very little from this generic book, with the exception of the last pages on hosting and attending parties. What is more, the numbered pointers seem haphazard and are even repetitive sometimes. The quotations are mostly nice, though I am afraid they cannot be much to the author's credit. Last but not least, the writing is simplistic, which rather speaks to my poor split-second judgement on whether or not the book would be for me.

Wow. What a sad, sad world we live in when it is necessary to write books like this. Not that it is poorly written because it's not. It is a well written book that has a great deal of information but I can't help but feel saddened that this isn't common knowledge and general upbringing.

This is a book that would be excellent for a coffee table or to put in the bathroom reading pile. It is full of common sense ideas that are helpful to learn how to interact with people better. It is short and very enjoyable!

This book really sums it up on what manners ought to be. Manners are there to help us make the most of life's moments. They are the set of tools to enrich one's life as the unavoidable experience with others will improve. The concept of manners is to reminds us to think of others and perform actions that put them at ease.
