I enjoyed this book. Having been a board member for 9 years and a chair for less than a year, I found it insightful and helpful in a practical way. I wish there had been more details of resolutions. The book starts off more like a novel and grabs you, then it slows and you remember it is not that type of book!
Easy read, well worth the time.

I enjoyed the fictitious exploration of a governing board to a non-profit organization. The partnership lessons of communication & collaboration, respect, trust, support, shared vision, attitude and leadership are spot on and should be evaluated and explored. This book was referred during a Junior League of Atlanta Leadership Institute certificate course on board readiness and I think it's a great primer to read.
