This cookbook is not just recipes. It is filled with lovely photographs and stories about the food and the people. If I were more of a cook, as opposed to being a reader of cookbooks, I'd be making those handheld chicken pies. The grilled vegetable stacks are more my speed however. I guess the Frogmore stew isn't out of reach of my skills, but that's definitely a group dish.

Even if you never cook any of the recipes, it's still worth a look for the writing and photographs.
