Abbey is having a bad day. Not only did she quit her job after discovering her ex boyfriend slept with her friend, she's about to have sex with a complete stranger. In front of a hidden camera.
Nick Delaware is called The Machine by his employees, but on an interstate business trip, he's not himself - literally. His VP of Marketing has skipped town, so Nick assumes his identity at the last minute to protect his investment. He doesn't expect any problems, especially not in the guise of a beautiful woman who coerces him into having sex with her.
What happens when Abbey finds out Nick's not the man she thought him to be? And what happens to Nick when he discovers he's head over heels in love with a woman who makes him lose control.
Kendra writes contemporary romances featuring strong men and the women who bring them to their knees. She's married with 2 children, drinks too much coffee, eats too much chocolate and thinks doing housework is a waste of good reading time.
Loved it. Emotional and silly. A case of people needing to talk to each other and clear everything up, yet somehow creating a bigger mess from avoiding that talk. It was also hot, like way hot lol
I thought this was a waste of time. I kept waiting for the book to pick up, but it didn't.
They have a few encounters and barely talk to each other and suddenly they're in love and can't resist each other. There wasn't even enough conversation between the 2 main characters to show either of them had any wit... or chemistry.
It was even more ridiculous when Nick resolved all the issues and clarified what he had to and just expected Abbey to move all the way to Sydney with him and live happily ever after.
I wanted to give this book a three ... I really did. Honestly, the writing is fine save for some grammar errors here and there. Really, this book could be incredible if this author had a critique partner. Someone to tell her when things conflict with one another, why a characters thought processes all of a sudden change, how you can't go from, lying, to not lying, to moving in with a person you haven't seen in months in a single paragraph. The story plot was awesome ... I just wish it had flowed better.
My Likie this one .Nick was hot and sweet. Like that in a billionaire! If you want to know why you should not lie then this is the book you should like. :)
Warning: This book contains adult language and adult subjects including sexual encounters slightly graphic in nature.
The basic premise of the book revolves around Abbey who has recently lost her job and is in need of extra cash. Her friend, Lucy, is a private investigator and has her help with an undercover job. Abbey's role is to seduce Damien into having sexual intercourse with her so Lucy can take photographs for her client, Damien's wife. It was a simple enough plan until Abbey ends up seducing the wrong gentleman.
Overall, I enjoyed reading the story. It moved quickly and kept me interested. While I did figure out what would happen in the end, there were a few surprises throughout. The storyline, while not something which might happen in real life, was a good and imaginative. The story was based in Australia and the writer kept with sayings and wording used down under.
I tend to think the reason it sells well is there is extreme intimacy and that's what people like to read. The plot could use some work to make it more believable, but in real life, there are people who do randomly have intercourse with strangers even though there are some people who think it is wrong, we can't deny it happens. So there are morals which have to be dealt with if you want to read this story.
I can't say whether I'd read the book again or not, but I did read it once and promised myself to review every book I read this year.
When the story begins, Abbey is pretending to be a masseuse giving out free massages as a ruse to catch a slimeball who cheats on his wife on film. She’s doing this to help out her friend Lucy, since she just caught her boyfriend/boss cheating on her and quits, leaving her with no money or job. Nick Delaware, the billionaire of this story, is actually pretending to be his slimeball VP of Marketing and doesn’t know what to think of this free massage. One thing leads to another, and the lies keep coming….
The Good and the Bad With a setting like Melbourne and a mistaken identity setup like this, I was prepared to like this book. Abby and Nick have chemistry from the get-go and their first love scene was pretty hot. As the story went on though, the lies just piled on and I couldn’t buy into their instant love for each other. There was so much sex instead of emotional/character development, that I started to skim some of the later sex scenes, hoping for more emotional content.
At the end of the story, I still felt like their only connection was a sexual compatibility, not any real emotional connection, since they didn’t know each other. Other than one slightly stilted dinner conversation, every time they saw each other, they had sex. Every time.
The Bottom Line A promising premise with no follow through. I really wanted to like it, but there wasn’t enough emotional development to keep me invested in the HEA for these two.
Abbey walked into work to find her fiancee, also her boss, making love to another colleague. She not only resigns but she walked out leaving him caught in the acton.
Now she spends every day searching for a job. In the meantime she started worklng for her friend, Lucy temporarily just to pay the bill. Lucy a former police officer owned her own private investigating agency specializing in catching unfaithful husbands for her clients. Lucy talked Abbey into posing as an masseuse for the hotel, to use her feminine charms for Abbey to catch one unfaithful husband, Damien, in the act. A series of unexpected circumstances occur as Damien was a very hot and sensual man that Abbey immediately fell for and before she knew what happened, she had sex with him. Abbey left only to find out Lucy's camera broke and they had to plot another night. Again she set her sights but this was getting complicated because she starting to fall for a married man and without her knowing, he was having feelings for her. What Abbey couldn't know is that he wasn't Damien but Nick, the CEO posing as his missing VP of Marketing not the cheating husband. A complex hot and heavy love affair carries on as well as the ex-boyfriend in the picture who is contemplating hiring Nick's company for software programs. Passion, lies, and more suspense builds as to where this all leads and what happens when the wife receives the photos of her husband's boss.
Nick Delaware is so full of himself, HE should throw up and save me the trouble! Calling him an arrogant, egotistical a$$ would just be too kind of me so I will forgo that loving description. I could slap Abbey to the moon and back if I thought it would help but she is just plain hopeless. If Little's goal was for me to not like the leading man and woman, she succeeded and I give her an A++ for her effort. However, Little trying to redeem Nick at the end is just plain atrocious and having Abbey continue with her stupidity to give up what she's attained and fall hopelessly in his arms just continues to feed into a fairy tale that is not only long outdated but demeaning! There are sooooooo many Nick Delawares (and unfortunately, Abbeys too), in the world that think because of their wealth, they can second guess and treat us mere mortals like crap! I'm not having it at all! Not in fiction or my non-fiction life. The editing gets a C- at best. The title told me to pass this one up although it was a quick, free reading that I was able to finish while having my car serviced. I don't regret reading it to pass the time but I would definitely encourage those of you with an IQ above 2 to PASS on this one
***SPOILERS*** It it were possible, I would give this book a 2.5. It's not as bad as a 2 but it's not as good as a 3 either. I don't know how people rated it above a 3 because it's definitely not better than that.
The story had a lot of potential but the author just kept things moving at a snail's pace. Not only that, at one point, it seemed like the story was just marking time.
The biggest issue I had with the story is the way Abbey got on her "holier than thou" kick and got upset because Nick lied to her. The author should have had Nick call out Abbey on her lies when they met and continued lies each time they met up. Nick repeatedly tried to get her to tell him what was going on and she refused or outright lied.
I just didn't like the way the author put all the onus on Nick. There was a passing blurb of Nick addressing it but in my opinion, it wasn't enough. Not with the way Abbey was carrying on.
Wow! This story was "interesting" for lack of a better word. I must admit that I really did like the premise of the story but I had too many issues with the characters and some scenarios. The main reason was the lack of values/principles in the story. I mean, how does a woman (Abby) have sex with not only a strange man (Nick/Vane) after 10 minutes of meeting him but a married man (not really married but she doesn't know that when she has sex with him) in the name of doing her job as "masseuse" !? And continues to have sex with him because he's hot and sexy! I'm no prude I know people do have sex with strangers, but this tops it off! Though, I had issues with the story I finished it and did enjoy it! I'm not sure I would recommend it, well, maybe just for the steamy scenes those were hot! ;)
The hot scenes were really hot and there were a few times I found myself anxious to find out what happened next, but was never really "WOW'D" by anything. If you like a good erotica....this will meet your expectations but don't expect to go to the next level or anything. I found Abby a little annoying, and Nick was just mysterious. The real shocker was how quickly they found love. Read it anyway if you want a quick steamy read!
In the beginning, I LOVED this book - but like another reviewer said - all the misunderstandings and lies got so frustrating. As much as I love an HEA - I also like a HDB - "Happy During Book." Still really enjoyed the book, but didn't love it as much as I thought I was going to just because it had me pulling my hair out!
I swear I have read this before. I actually didn't find it all that great. It was okay to read but I couldn't find any emotional connection, I'm afraid. Except the whole shuddering thing when the real 'Vane' was introduced.
Wow, just wow. I can't understand how so many people find this book appealing. There was no depth to the story. I don't know why I keep reading these Billionaire books. Would have thought I learned by now. I just keep hoping one of them will be halfway enjoyable.
The book simply isn't worth it. There's no story whatsoever. The book starts with Abbey pretending to be a masseuse and trying to get proof that Damien is cheating on his wife. She then goes on sleeping with him albeit it's in reality Nick, Damien's boss which she doesn't get to know for quiet along time. She lies through a lot and is super offended when Nick doesn't trust her. Even with all the trust issues they still have sex time and again and there's no nothing apart from sex in between. No real conversations, no past, no future and no connection. It was frustrating that in the end all he needed to do was say I Love You and all the misunderstandings and all the accusations get dissolved just like that, Pretty weak characters and plot.

Abbey quit her job after finding out her friend slept with her ex boyfriend. She quits her job as her boyfriend was also her boss. In a case of mistaken identity she sleeps with a man she doesn't know but a man named Nick Delaware but she thinks is someone else. Problem is that Nick Delaware falls in love with her but she doesn't know that that is his real name and that he is a billionaire that has fallen for her! A very fun romp and if need a laugh or even just a grin on your face I would recommend this book! An unexpected bit of fun!
Wow! I can’t believe the rating for this book is so low! I thought it was an amazing 5 star story! It’s the type where I was running out of pages too quickly. I didn’t want it to end! The circumstances under which Nick and Abbey met were very creative and kept me hooked. Sadly, they were a little unrealistic, though. Nick drove me nuts with his paranoid, control freak issues. I can understand why Abbey fell for his hot body and alpha male personality, though. There were so many secrets between the two! Watching all of them being uncovered was addicting! It was a huge dramafest, which I love! It’s totally boring when couples have a picture perfect relationship. Other than in the bedroom, this was completely opposite of perfect from the start! The detailed steamy scenes were great! There was one in particular that literally made me laugh out loud. I’m lucky I wasn’t in a public area. A furious woman is capable of doing plenty of damage. It was good to see the female in charge of things in the bedroom for a change. I would’ve loved to have seen the reaction of Nick and the maid the next morning. I was telling one of my friends about it and could barely get the words out of my mouth I was laughing so hard. Overall, this was a great book that kept my eyes glued to the pages!
First of all, let me just say if you're looking for a sweet romance where everyone is perfect and well behaved, then this is not it. Walk on right by.
This is a great romance story about two very imperfect people who found perfect love in each other. I stayed up to read this. I couldn't put it down. Yes, Abbey and Nick are both flawed. They lied to each other and made some bad decisions. But that only made them human in my eyes.
Abbey is hurting after finding her boyfriend in bed with her friend. So her behaviour is understandable. When something like that happens, you either turn into yourself and shut the world out or you go out and paint the town red. Well, we know which one she did.
Nick is a man who has to be in control all the time. And his greatest fear is not being in control. This compounded the situation and I did want to smack him in the head when he let Abbey walk away a couple of times without explaining things to her. I'm so glad Abbey didn't cave in immediately he said sorry and she made him work to get her back.
Overall, i loved this story, it is romantic and sensual and even emotional in places. I'm so glad I picked this up. I will definitely check out more of this author's books. And I want to read Lucy's story. 4.5 Stars
My feelings about Bedding the Billionaire are complicated at best. Overall, it is well-written, but that is only if you consider the structure apart from the story itself.
The book was interesting enough to keep me reading, but I simply could not suspend my disbelief because of the plot. The main character, Abbey, quits her job and ends moonlighting as a prostitute for her PI friend. The result is that she sleeps with womanizing husbands ... and accidentally sleeps with the wrong man on her first go. Such is the start of a series eyebrow raising events that were completely implausible or just teetered on the good side of impractical. The ways in which the story is concluded is too over-the-top in the "happily ever after" department.
Generally speaking, this book is easy to read and doesn't contain major grammatical or structural flaws. Little provide good description and was able to pace her story well. Even the dialogue felt like it flowed appropriately between the different characters.
Bedding the Billionaire could have been stronger, but it is readable. As long as you can get past the plot being a bit over the top, you'll be entertained.
I didnt find this book quite as great as Billionaire Bad Boy but I still found it enjoyable nonetheless and it did have it's witty/fun moments. It didn't have as much humour in this book but it was there, just not so much, but there is no denying it's another hot book from Kendra. The seduction and the moon scene made me chuckle especially when she got back up to shut the blinds and the moonlight out, I just found that whole scene quite fun.
Small enough to read in a few hours (well for me anyway), I loved Abbey's character and her friend Lucy, she made me chuckle a few times too with her one liners. Nick is a fan yourself hot male whose has swapped identities with his software guru for the seminar in Melbourne, this leads both Nick and Abbey into a web of lies that then eats away at them as their attraction grows, it may even be the cause to stop them getting together, you'll have to read the book to find out.
I really like Kendra Little, her books are hot but they are also lighthearted, they really are a fun read to wile away a few hours.
In the beginning it seemed like it was going to be a decent book but after chapter one it seemed the decency was nowhere to be found, she is a PA for her boss that can't function without her and he just so happened to be her boyfriend. Then she finds him kissing another woman from work who also happens to be a friend. The friend informs her that they have also slept together. In anger she quits, her best friend who happens to be a PI offers her a temporary position. A wife that believes her husband is cheating and she wants photographic evidence. So they concoct a plan to seduce the wayward husband. However the husband is not there in his place is his boss because the husband flaked out and went AWOL to chase another woman. Somehow they both fall in love yet he believes her to be a hooker because which. Ten minutes of them meeting that have sex. The story gets progressively worst. Save yourself the agony!

So yeah....I would have given this book 5 stars but it literally pissed me off.
1.] Lucy I HATE her (as a friend seeing how hurt her bestie was she should have tried to help....but she just pushed them father apart) 2.] All the non-communication was ridiculous, I mean to the point of being petty
With that being said I was happy with the outcome, but seriously these two needed an award for the most dense about how they feel. It got to the point where I had to stop reading because Lucy would make a comment and it would irk the hell out of me...but the 2 minutes later I would have to read more. The fact that is pissed me off that much I almost gave it a 5 star for, because to me that is a good thing it means I am living emotions within the book. Had it not been for so much miss-communication I would have given it the full 5 stars.
Abbey had just quit her job due to her cheating boyfriend of a boss. So she takes a job at helping her PI friend Lucy catch a married man cheated. After dressing in clothes that she normally wouldn't dress in, Abbey greets Nick at his hotel room door assuming he was Damien. After convincing Nick that she was to give him a massage courtesy of the motel, things get steamy.
Nick knew that she thought he was Damien and was all for it since no one in the city knew who he was. Originally he wasn't planning on allowing the woman in his room but after accidentally shutting her hand in the door he allowed her access.
After that night neither Abbey or Nick could get the other one out of their mind. But with all the false appearances can they work out their differences and listen to their hearts?
Free download. Well this was an ok read, set in Australia. Abbey just quit her job after finding her boyfriend with another woman from his office. She's helping her PI friend Lucy with a job to catch a cheating Husband, Damian Vane. Nick Delaware is standing in for his VP, Damian who hasn't turned up for a software conference. Nick doesn't usually relax his control but when he meets Abbey something happens between them, but will the lies stop them from ever moving forward? This was an ok read, the plot and story were good but the dialogue and writing style made it feel a bit wooden. I liked that the story was set in Australia. The characters got all my nerves, I wanted to shake Lucy, her friendly advice was crap. The story has lots of angst, hot sex, and some romance, it gets a respectable 3 stars.
He knew from their first encounter that she was the one even though she took him for the overzealous snake Damion Vane
Nick and Abbey were so miserable for that month when they were apart and then they saw each other again and it just meant the world But he still didn't believe that she didn't sleep with that snake!!! so she had to make the hardest decision of her life and that was going back to Melbourne even though He confirmed that she did not sleep with Damion she still felt betrayed because he didn't believe in her.
Thank God he met at the airport and finally told of his feelings and those wonderful words that every girl wanna hear from their man...I LOVE YOU!!!!
