The central character of all her novels is DCI Gawn Girvin, ex-army and now PSNI officer with the nickname "The Ice Queen". Gawn often battles her own demons from her past as well as the criminals she is investigating and her sense of duty can often lead her into dangerous situations.
When not reading or writing crime, Linda enjoys Formula 1, researching her family history and spending time with her grandchildren.

Great series
The first book was a little slow in the beginning. I almost wasn't going to finish but once I started, I couldn't stop. Gawn, the Inspector goes through each investigation with all her strength. She starts out hard nose cop due to life experiences almost cold. It's interesting to watch her grow

I enjoy reading books with interesting female lead characters, especially those that get the job done and DI Gawn Girvin is top notch. I am working my way through this series now and look forward to the next to see how the characters lives are changed. Interesting twists and a new criminal to catch.

Gawn Girvin is a great detective, just the kind you'd want to have your back on the force. This collection is pretty immersive and will have you getting the other books in the series to stock up your library with quality fiction.

Great books . Not only about murder but follows the life of the detective in all 3 books.
