My job as an intern on a cooking show is horrible. I spend my days getting yelled at by a grumpy t.v. chef for no money. But being around Chef Harper is like being in the presence of greatness. I grew up watching him create culinary masterpieces. He’s the reason I learned to cook and made it my career. And, I’ll admit, I have a crush on the grumpy chef. Quitting isn’t an option, so when I get desperate for money, I sign up for an arranged marriage to a sugar daddy. That way, I get to keep my job and my money troubles will be taken care of.
When Chef Harper finds out I signed up to marry a stranger, he forbids it and decides he’s going do what it takes to stop me, even if it means being my sugar daddy himself. This is an age-gap, grump sunshine, instalove romance with a happily-ever-after.
He taught her to cook and doesn’t even know it. She learned to cook at a young age and she was able to cook actual meals, delicious meals, that he made simple, on his show, so she could feed her little sister, and their mom who worked two jobs, something other than the peanut butter sandwiches they were getting by with. This is an awesome instalove story from the talented Sena Sage, with all the feels, angst, and joy that you could possibly imagine. So, so good. This is my second time reading it… I know it’s always going to be a favorite. [I love her Lumberjack series too!]
