An extraordinary book designed to help readers articulate and pursue a definition of success that leads to a balanced, fulfilled, and significant life.
This a supposed framework for living an authentically successful life based on the book of Proverbs. I never did get that part; Jenson personifies the principle of wisdom, giving it the name Ruth, which he refers to a few times in the book.
Basically, he comes up with "10 Timeless Life Skills That Will Maximize Your Real Net Worth". 1. Make Things Happen 2. Achieve Personal Significance 3. X Out the Negatives 4. Internalize Right Principles 5. March to a Mission 6. Integrate All of Life 7. Zero in on Caring for People 8. Energize Internally 9. Realign Rigorously 10. Stay the Course
Good information, some good exercises at the end of the chapters for application purposes.
It seemed like a long read, especially toward the end. Kind of like a list of a bunch of do's and don'ts. (Old Covenant) Felt like the 'Christian' answer to "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" that wasn't as gripping or inspirational.
It was OK.
Friday, June 17, 2011 I met a ministry leader from Central America who has been TRANSFORMED by this book and this information. He would give this book a "10" Plus, rating!

A positive and logical approach to achieving more in life, through focusing on productivity, personal growth, caring about others, and perseverence. Jenson's writing can be a little pat at times, but for the most part he is well-spoken, very convincing and makes a lot of common sense.
