Dylan Turner wasn’t looking for love, all he needed was someone to warm his bed and be gone by morning. Baseball was what made his life worth living. The hunger to play, the need to live and breathe baseball—it was ingrained in his blood and veins, making his heart thump, beat for beat. It wasn’t until he met Paige that everything changed. She became part of the game, only it was a game he never wanted to end.

Paige’s love for baseball was ingrained in her before she was even born. She never thought she would find love in the form of a baseball player though, but that all changes when she meets her new schools first baseman. Was Paige really ready for this roller coaster ride? When the count is full, will what they have survive?

If The Perfect Game (WITHOUT the cheating!) and Taking Chances (WITHOUT the THING that happens to Chase) were to have sex and make a book baby. I like to think it would turn out like this.

THE STORY

Paige Brinton has made the decision fly the coop and go somewhere else for college that is not in Florida.
Having lost her mother at a young age she is Daddy’s little girl. He deals with life’s moments by using Baseball analogy’s to Paige. No wonder she is also a tom boy. Her best friend is a guy, Jake who is the all star Football player. (Extremely GOOD LOOKING). He is very overprotective of her.
Jake doesn’t want her going so far away. They have been together her whole life.

When Paige starts College in South Carolina she can’t believe the room mate she has been landed with.
She is the complete opposite of Paige.
Her name is Katherine “Kitty” Chapman
Her side of the room is pink.
She is a girly girl.
She looks stuck up.
She is from the area and has 3 older brothers. Bryce and Chris go to the same College, Jared is an alumni.
And the first thing she wants to do is take Paige shopping!

Kitty calls her brother Chris to take her and Paige shopping to get things for their dorm. He arrive with his best friend Dylan Turner. Their “adopted” brother.

INSTA CHEMISTRY.

Kitty has warned Paige off Dylan. Dylan is a MANWHORE.

So they both ignore the pull.

Paige starts seeing a guy named Ben.

Dylan stops just having sex and decides to start “dating” one girl. He is really just trying to make Paige jealous.

Eventually they give into one and another.

They start a relationship, but with Dylan never being in one. Paige being as naive as she is can they last?

There are a lot of rookie mistakes made.
Jealous women who want Dylan for themselves compete for his attention.
Jake showing up..

Will they last?

Or will one of them do something that is just too much?!

MY HONEST OPINION

At the start if this review I wrote
“If The Perfect Game (WITHOUT the cheating!) and Taking Chances (WITHOUT the THING that happens to Chase) were to have sex and make a book baby. I like to think it would turn out like this.”

Here’s why
The main comparison’s I need to make about why this is like the Perfect Catch and Taking Chances.
1 - Clueless naive girl with super hot best friend who is in love with her but she has no idea.
2- Hot hunk playboy who doesn’t settle down who plays baseball.
3 – Girl is a tomboy who turns girly
4 – doesn’t realise how pretty she is
5 – Roommate becomes BFF

Other than those it definitely had its own backbone.

Paige was irritating at times and just f’n clueless about sooo much. But then I remembered the sheltered life she had lead so I learnt to give her a break. Then I ended up liking her. I wish she stood up to Jake and Ben a bit more though. Great relationship with her Dad and as frustrating as it was I was happy to get her POV on things.

Dylan He was just beautiful. Typical player. I loved being in his head and having his POV. He was actually reallly sweet. Def Book Boyfriend material!. Instant chemistry and how he turned himself around for Paige! I did hate what he did but we needed some drama so I forgave him.

Kitty Kitty turns out to be everything that Paige could dream of! She was a great secondary character.

Tim and Susanne Awesome parents!

Rest of the characters were good too. Comic relief, serious shoulder to cry on, excellent to “bounce” things off of. All needed at certain points in time.

I like how we were in Paige’s head until we met Dylan then it become alternate.

The Ending?!

One word..
RUSHED
That’s really my only complaint about this book. I loved the HEA we got. But it was like it was just thrown together at the last minute. No great explanation as to why.

Please don't read this spoiler unless you have read it

This book was so boring I don't know how I was able to finish!

So the story tell us about a man whore going straight because he falls in love with a sweet innocent girl from the very first sight.

sarcastic clapping

The plot actually reminded me of Taking Chances by Molly McAdams. But with a LOT less drama, a more vanilla couple, and a equally annoying female lead.

At least Taking Chances surprised me a little. This book was so full of cliche phrases that sometimes I thought the writer made a copy-past book of trending quotes.

"You're mine"

"I couldn't control myself around him"

"I blushed from the intensity of his stare"

"I never knew I could have this kind of love in my life"

incredulous

So the girl meets the player, instant attraction, but he's a man whore so she ignores the attraction and starts dating some other guy who appears to be sweet and nice. But the player and the innocent girl starts to fall more in love with each other until neither can control their feelings, so the girl cheats on the nice guy, who turns out to be not so nice once he finds out. He tries to hit her, the player saves her with rage boiling in his blood and his fists clenched so tight his knuckles turned white, but then he looks at the girl and instantly calms down...

Yeah... You've probably read that before...

So enters this huge phase in the book where everything is alright, everybody in love, the guy making sweet gestures towards the girl, she can't believe how lucky she is to be the one to have him and how she can't fall more in love with him (that phrase goes for him too)... And they have vanilla sex every chance they get, with a few "fucks" here and there that they call it "dirty talk" (A seven-year-old can talk more dirty than this couple, and somehow they keep describing their sex life as wild... Honestly, for a ex-man-whore he's very unimaginative)
This happy phase goes for too long, with too many boring scenes... I was like:

gag

Then you can complete the story yourself... Who screws up and how, who runs away, who tries to win who back... You can even guess the big "surprise" in the end, that honestly I was expecting since the begging of the book. Specially if you read Taking Chances.

The worst part for me I think it was their banter. I mean, I can see how the writer tried to make the characters charming and funny... She just didn't have in her to accomplish that. I'm sorry, I hate being mean to writers, but I don't think this is her gender. Maybe a children's book like some fairy tale with some kind of moral in the end or something.

The only good thing about this book was that I actually manage to finish, and pretty fast. So I didn't lost to much of my time. That's why I gave the second star.

It often feels like I'm reading the same stories over and over again!
Don't get me wrong, I did like this one, or certain aspects of it, but as i was reading I kept getting the feeling that I'd read it before. Almost like I knew exactly what was about to happen, and really, where's the fun in that?

Before picking Full Count up, I read a review that likened it to The Perfect Catch, but without the cheating...

Some things I liked:

- I seem to have a soft spot for re-formed bad boys/players. I always seem to be reading books about them! sometimes they're intriguing, and sometimes they're not. I found Dylan rather entertaining. Though he wasn't as well formed as others, he was still interesting to read about. Plus I always like getting to read from the male's point of view. ESPECIALLY if the female frustrates me as much as Paige does.

- Kitty. She's a pretty awesome person! Though I would have liked to know more about her. It almost felt like she was a passing character at times.

- Even though aspects frustrated me, I was compelled to keep reading. I often get bored and start avoiding reading if books are predictable or grammatically frustrating, almost pulling out my hair at times, but I never felt this was with Full Count.

What I didn't like:

- Paige's inconsistencies. How can someone go from being thoroughly turned off by thinking about being romantic with the person they consider their brother, to then make out with them, and half-consider agreeing to date them, even though they've already admitted to 'strong and uncontrollable feelings' for someone else that they can't see anyone else topping?

- Paige's Naivety! I really don't understand how someone could be so clueless about how relationships should work!

- The ending! Don't get me wrong, I love it when a novel ends in a HEA, but this one was WAAAAAYYY too rushed! In the space of 3 (rather short) chapters, all is forgiven and a bombshell is revealed before everyone just forgets everything that happened and move on together. I felt like NOTHING was really resolved, and it was all just swept under the rug!

- Now this is a pet hate of mine, but I really hate it when authors write multiple people's dialogue in the same paragraph. First of all, it isn't easy to read aesthetically, second, it makes it really difficult at times to figure out who's speaking!

Overall, Full Count was an ...interesting read. If you're happy to read a predictable book, or just want an easy read, go ahead and do it.

Count me in!
This is the first book I read by C.A. Williams even if the other one by her is on my TBR list.
I know it's stupid but I started this before because not only the plot caught my interest but I like the hero's name, Dylan.
After I've finished the book I can say I like him too. Some of his choices might be questionable but in the heat of the moment you act on instinct.
I'm sorry for Paige's father but really, what happens to him only adds useless pain and then his situation is not even very developed so I can't understand why was made a certain decision about him.
Anyway I like the surprise baby in th end but that part too was a little bit rushed in my opinion.
Sometimes Piage's feelings and new feelings made me dislike her a little but I get that she has never had a boyfriend, dated, knwon her bestfriend's feelings for her so she goes from 0 boyfriend drama to 1000 in short time and is confused by how she feels for someone for a second.
Be assured, Dylan is always been the one!
Nonetheless "Full Count" was very enjoyable. Dylan is the most romantic hero I've read about. The things he does for Paige are so sweet and caring!

Called it quits at the halfway mark. I liked the premise but the characters have zero depth and it's a boring read. I'm tired of wading through crap in search of quality NA!

Fuckkkk! I wish the ending was longer types!! Agrh!
RANT TIME!!!
Firstly, so many things weren't made clear. Like the author could have seriously dragged this book on for a good 75-100pages more and filled up soo many gaps!! So I'm pissed the the pace a bit..

^ ^ Read only after you've read the book ^ ^
Nice book, hot story, nicely written but the dialogue delivery at times felt very child like btw I overlooked it because even thought it seemed that way, I didn't feel disconnected from the book.
The pace of the book towards the end seemed a bit rushed, but the start and the flow from then was nice so I guess its fine. :P

I liked the characters and everyone except for a few bitches and bastards.

There was nothing much in "Full Count." The story seemed to run around the circle ... and nothing new: they met => they fell in love (but Paige tried to resist her own feeling) => they had some misunderstanding (first Paige and then Dylan) => they forgave each other (too easy). It might because I had high expectation for this book after reading too many positive reviews. Seriously, some part of the story didn't make sense at all. It was like the writer wanted it to happen and poof, it happened ... just liked that. The characters: well, when I first read I loved all of them but after that not so much. I thought the writer didn't make a great connection between each character. I barely felt love or chemistry between Paige and Dylan. And what with Jake anyway ... I didn't know where he fitted in the story because it seemed to me their (Paige and Jake) friendship didn't strong enough. However, there was some part of the story that I liked too which was when Paige and Dylan were together and didn't make love (which was rare).

I wasn't bored when I read "Full Count." I'm kind of disappointed on how the story progressed. So I gave this book 2.5 stars.

A book all about sex and nothing else. There were a lot of sex scenes and I ended up skipping them because it just ended up being the same. Not that I'm particularly fond of reading BDSM or anything too kinky, but it got to a point where I felt as I was reading the same scene over and over again.

Storyline was really basic and cliche. Any "conflict" was so easily resolved and absolutely no suspense. Same old story, player meets girls, girl isn't interested, player stops sleeping around to prove he's worthy, player and girl have crazy hot sex and fall in love.

Was I the only one the felt bad for Jake? I guess you can't force two people to fall in love, but I would've liked a happy ending for him. He apparently started dating a girl but was obviously still pining for Paige. I just wished he had his HEA.

Overall, nothing too special. I wouldn't say I regretted reading it, but I definitely won't be picking it up again anytime soon.

Well shoot. That was such a great book, up until the last little bit. I LOVED Dylan Turner and goodness he was a great character. Before I started this book, someone described it as a combination of Perfect Game and Taking Chances, and that is a pretty accurate description.

Here's where the 5th star was lost (warning on spoilers):
1) the time frame of the end was completely unrealistic. She had only gone 6 months since she saw him, and based on his description of her and Lily, that meant that she would have had to have been like 6 months pregnant when she moved back to Florida. Remember, they only went six months without seeing each other, but she was holding the baby up, and she had a "flat stomach" per Dylan. So lets guess Lily was 3 months old, that means that she only had 3 months of pregnancy while they were apart. And even if she was like 4 or 5 months along when she left, wouldn't she have realized she hadn't had her period? Or her hormones all over the place? And wasn't she drinking quite a bit, like the night she left him was at a bar for her friends birthday?? Yea BIG, BIG flaw of the story. That was poorly thought through by the author

2) what happened to Ben? Did anyone ever mention to him WHY she had started pulling away? I mean that really is a pretty big piece that I expected to come in at SOME point

3) the end mentioned Kitty living with all three of her brothers and Dylan, but like 3 chapters before, we were told that only Chris and Bryce lived there...so when did brother 3 move in??

4) what did Paige decide to do with her life after she dropped out of school?

5) did jake ever move on? I liked him, and I wanted him to end up happy too. He never really did anything wrong, and he truly loved her.

6) we had ever minor detail of their relationship, but we weren't even privileged to get the proposal?!? WTF???

7) why didn't jake's mom like Paige? That was NEVER explained, and that made absolutely no sense for two people who had been friends for so long. I had a best friend that was a guy growing up, and his mom was someone I loved...that just confused me and when there wasn't a reason why, it frustrated me.

Okay, so that's what kept me from saying it was 5 stars, but up until that (which really was only the last 10-15%) this book was EXTREMELY addictive and so well written. I loved Paige and Dylan's relationship. The plot was well developed and written, and I truly just didn't want to put this book down. Even though the ending did let me down from the rest of the book I would HAPPILY read many more books on Paige and Dylan and will definitely recommend this book.

So glad that I seen this book. It hit the spot on a nice quiet afternoon and couldn't put it down until the very end.

Paige is the typical tomboy going up with a guy bestie and being raised by her father. She enjoys sports has only been close to her BFF, Jake, her entire life. Finding the need to finally branch out and experience life she chooses to go to another college away from Jake and her father. With not the best experience in having girl friendships she nervously gets to her dorm hoping for the best. Upon her arrival she encounters her new roomie, Kitty. Kitty is everything she dreads in a roommate but soon realizes that there is so much more to Kitty and becomes fast friends. With Kitty's help on a slight makeover, Paige realizes the girlie side of life.

Enter Dylan. Hot As Sin and knows it, best friend/roommate of Kitty's brothers. He's confidant and doesn't apologize for his player ways. Having been pinged pong between different foster homes growing up he lives life to the fullest and has never been in any kind of relationship in his life.

Dylan and Paige fight an instant attracts. Paige never having been in a relationship before either knows that the kind of guy Dylan is just isn't for her. She settles for a guy that she thinks would be good for her first dating experience instead. Dylan confused by the turn in is outlook of women try's to make Paige jealous and dates one of his "regulars" exclusively. Might I add that I was like... Ewwww! With the whole "regulars" idea. Even with both of them with others they just couldn't deny the undeniable heat they have with each other.
Unable to stop the sparks they no longer fight it and a relationship ensures.

I'm gonna try my best to be as vague as possible. *winks* You just got to read the book to see what I mean. Lol

There was some definitely WTF moments in this story. Some twists that I thought was nice that they were wrapped up quickly. But then couldnt fathom why something similar would go on for so long. Towards the end I had to go back and re read several times just to make sure I read it right the first time. I thought... Did I miss something? Obviously I did. Lol.

It's a bit of a typical (but not) story but enjoyed it all the same. It was a nice easy read and thankfully I didn't swim through a bunch of grammar errors that seem to be the norm nowadays.
I'm always on the look out for new books by CA Williams and was not disappointed with this one!

I absolutely fell head over heals in love with this book!!! Dylan and Paige are both such lovable and adorable characters. This book is told through both POV’s so we get to see a side to both. There was some drama throughout but not enough to bother me. Sometimes I just need a cute and sweet read and this is definitely that book.

Paige has decided to move several hours away to go to college. Since she was 7 years old, she has only ever her father and her best friend Jake. By moving away, she is hoping to start fresh. Paige meets her roommate Kitty and thinks they are total opposite which is crazy because they turn out to be great friends. Then Paige meets Dylan. She listens to everyone else when they tell her to stay away from Dylan because he is a player but she sees a sweet side to Dylan to. Paige decides to just fight her feelings for Dylan but he has other plans and doesn’t want her to forget.

Now it took just a bit for Dylan to grow on me. When the book first starts, I though Dylan was a total cocky arrogant smart mouthed player. Now he is some of those things but he is also a complete sweetheart. Right from the very beginning, he knows Paige is different and that she might even possibly be a game changer.

There are some parts in this book that PISSED me off so bad. AHHH I wanted to smack both Paige and Dylan but Dylan A LOT more!!! But there were also some super sweet parts to. Dylan actually made my heart skip a beat once of twice. I also love how the side characters play a pretty big part too. I wouldn’t mind seeing other books from them sometime later. I loved every minute of this book so don’t miss out!!!

This was agonizing. Just to read through 48% . I thought about throwing it across the room. The more I read, the more pissed I got. Not my cup of tea. At all.

First of all, another virgin. Girls are always virgins. Yes, I know it means a lot to lose it to a certain person you're in love with, but this isn't the case for every girl. STOP WRITING ABOUT VIRGINS!! Second, why do those virgins seem into the first sexual encounter they're faced with and go sex crazy from there? Well, that doesn't always happen but I've read it more than once. I don't admire a girl that grabs the first guy that gives her attention and turns him into her boyfriend only to cheat on him and chicken out on the break up. And if there's more than ONE Guy on the side...ugh! That girl is a coward! She's never real with anyone and just sneaks around. Then acts shocked and hurt when they find out. And the award for best actress goes to....

Third, weakness. I'm sick of all these wimpy girls. They can't ever have a backbone or a mind of their own. They let the KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR fight their battles. Damsel in distress? What do you know, the knights right by her side. What are the odds, right? *puke*

I'm sick of reading about the same things! If your book or character is anything like another, WHAT A SHAME! because I'm going to be stuck in boresville until I find something different and worth reading. *sigh*

SPOILERS!!!

Where do I start? Paige is a naïve girl, virgin, has never dated. On the other hand there’s Dylan who has never had a serious relationship, personal issues, selfish and really good at sports. Were the characters original? No.

I decided to read this book because I noticed that many people had placed this on the “Realistic Fiction” shelve, so I said “Ok, I’ll give it a try”. Was it realistic? Not so much. To my this book reminded me so much of “Beautiful Disaster”, “Taking Chances” and “The Perfect Game”. The characters had a lack of story; I mean what was the point of having Jake since the beginning if the author was not going to give it a closure to his character? And Kitty and Gant? How did they meet? I mean the author could have remove the sex scenes (that where a lot) and replace them with good plot.

And the baby’s part…. She left 6 months ago and by the time Dylan came back she was a toddler? WTF? Honestly, what the f..k? Even if she was 3 or 4 months pregnant by the time she left SC the baby should be a newborn!!!!!

The ending was just… POOR! I felt the author was so hurry to finish the book that didn’t even try to make it believable. This is my first book from C.A. Williams and I’m not planning on reading another one from her. I would never recommend this book, maybe if the person to the one I’m recommending it has never ready one of the books that I mention previously. Even if the person hasn’t I would still doubt it.

Ughhh. I hate when books jump months ahead and then more months and finally the End. It totally pulls me away from the story.
Aside from the annoying jumps at the end I enjoyed the story and thank-god Dylan does not pull a Jack Carter (The Perfect Game) or I may have thrown my beloved Kindle.
This book had everything a more mature YA book should: romance, scandal, friends, drama, some more drama, sports and college parties with of course booze. There was an added emotional element that really enhanced the story and the character though it felt too organized within the story and seemed to be summed up with a quick sad reflection and HEA. I did enjoy the book though I am a bit disappointed as I was expecting a bit more. I would read more by this author but considering much of the story seemed to be bits of other popular stories put together I hope there's a bit more originality involved.

**SPOILER ALERT**

The book went incredibly fast well, the beginning of the book was good then it just went *snap* book done.

Like when she went to back home to Florida because Dylan cheated the author skipped like

4 chapters because it was:

1st) I moved back
2nd)I'm pregnant
3rd) Dad has cancer

I didn't even know the baby was already born or that she was even pregnant until like the 4 last chapters and I'm like "WHAT! She gave birth to a child that I didn't even know that was in her Tummy?" or when Paige kept saying if the dad went to the Docs today I'm like "Why does he need to go to the Doctors?" and all of a sudden i find out that her dad has cancer....it felt like i was missing a whole lot of chapters from this book.

One thing i would like to say to the author is "Please, clue us the fuck in!"

Other than these crazy things the book was okay...(I guess)

Reading Full Count is like riding a roller coster ride. Almost got me off my sit. Things happen really damn fast to Paige and Dylan. I wonder she never get pregnant and not in the later part of the story. Ben really freak me out and for her bestfriend Jake. I like him more than Dylan. But then again her feelings towards to Dylan is more powerfui than towards to Jake.

When the moment she caught Dylan screwing Maddie's roomate Kylie its mean she is already pregnant by then without realizing it. When she said she gain 20 pounds it mean she is already pregnant right?

Did she drop off school? Hmmp a lot of things happen between them. Things happen to them are full speed right away. I'm so glad that they still ended up together. Dylan is very lucky guy to have a Family ad friends like Kitty and Chris. Great story and I enjoyed every sex hot scenes they have. LOL.

I don't remember how I came across this book recently, but I'm definitely glad I did! I took a chance after reading the blurb about it and thought I'd give it a try. I was hooked from the first few pages and there was no putting it down! The author did a great job writing about Dylan and Paige's relationship and the rocky road they endure to make it happen. You have the inexperienced good girl and the bad boy baseball player... Throw in some cool friends, a lot of sweet and sexy love scenes along with a little bit of heartache and you have this awesome book!! It was a short read that gets right into the story and it quickly became a favorite of mine!!! :-)

This book has a very similar feel to The Perfect Game by J. Sterling! It will have you laughing, crying, screaming, saying what the f*** , and wanting to throw your e-reader at the nearest wall! It was a rollercoaster with a clusterf*** of emotions! Definitely a must read for Beautiful Disaster fans!! :) And of course, after a bumpy road, the most beautiful happy ending imaginable :)

I was looking forward to reading this book and it left me totally disappointed. I skipped like 75% off the book to read the ending.
The characters were flat, the virgin girl at college, I mean come on.
The story was predictable nothing that has not been written 1.000.000 times before.

You ever have the feeling where you think you may LIKE a novel but then when you start reading it you are like "Why the hell did I even LIKE the blurb??!!"
Full Count is, like many novels written in the past 5 years, a really really flawed novel. The author knew where she was going, she had the idea of the story quite clear in her mind and she did her best to explain everything. But, the flaws started when she decided to follow the norm. I swear, every single author just has to include usual drama in their novels or I dunno they think their novel would be cursed or something.
C.A may have tried to write a good novel but, unfortunately, I pinpointed at least a dozen glitches. I know this cause each glitch has been highlighted in my e-reader and let me tell you, I plan to list each one of them.
So, we start off with a girl not used to living alone leaving her best friend and father to move to Florida. The key words here are "leaving her male best friend alone". I knew he had feelings for her by the time I finished chapter 1. Why?? Because, no guy in their right mind would call their "best friend" baby girl or baby doll unless A) they are gay or B) they have a thing for her. Also, no girl in her right mind won't see such an open gesture as a sign of love unless A) she's kinda thick in the head or B) she's trying her best to ignore her friend's feelings.
Moving on, she moves in with a barbie-type girl, Kitty, meets her brother and brother's best friend (who is the hero here) and the story moves on with Ms. Paige taking an interest in Mr.Dylan and they start dating.
here's when the horrible glitches start.
Don't get me wrong, but I HATE it when girls act like they don't wanna gain weight and all that shit while making the dumbest mistakes ever. I knew I hated Paige when she decided to eat a GIANT CHOCOLATE DONUT WITH SPRINKLES AND EVERYTHING with a DIET COKE . Like, SERIOUSLY??!! A diet coke with donut??

Anyways, so after seeing Paige, Dylan starts liking her a lot. Did I mention he's your average play-boy and is known to only use girls without getting attached? Yea, that same guy decides he's in love with Piage, IN LOVE, 13% into the book!!! 13%!!!

Doesn't that seem weird to anyone else???

22% into the chapter he starts having thoughts like:
I knew that instant I was in love with this girl and I needed to do anything to have her. Anything.
Whoa!! How did the author get away with THAT??
This isn't even the weird part though. Those weird things happen later on.
Paige decides to start dating this guy Ben who is known to be hooked up on his ex. Key words here are: hooked up on his ex. But does that bother Ms. I'm-an-innocent-virgin?? Nope.
So the time approaches when he first kisses her. Paige is happy to receive her first kiss and this is what she thinks at that time:
I had gotten plenty of those from Jake when we played spin-the-bottle in middle school and he would never let the bottle land on anyone but him
Did she honestly not find it creepy?? How thick-headed is this girl??

img src="http://i990.photobucket.com/albums/af...

Anyways, moving on, things heat up and one day Ben and Paige end up back in his room. So, in between their stuff, Ben calls out the name of his ex. Yes!! He calls out loud "Ammyyyy"!!
And how does Paige react?? She leaves, discusses it with Kitty and doesn't mention this at all to Ben!!! Not a single word!!!

This whole ordeal at least makes Paige realize she liked Dylan all along and when she confides it to her best friend, whom I may add always warned Paige off Dylan, you know how she responds?? Kitty says, and I quote:
You and Dylan were made for each other.
Hello!!! You were against him not 4 hours ago!!! And her retort is that she thinks Paige should Live up a little and that includes sleeping with random guys
It's best friends like her that ruin a girl's life.

The novel continues with some really weird line being exchanged between the characters:
When Dylan finds out Paige's a virgin, he is surprised. Paige's response is that "hey baby why you so surprised". He's like "I didn't know you were THAT innocent". This would've been the line of the novel is Paige hadn't said this line, and I quote:
"Aren't guys supposed to be able to tell or something"

Some other weird lines include this:
Are you attached to these? He whispered while his fingers traced the outside of my panties
And
"You aren't one of those Harry Potter freaks running around with wands in your spare time, are you"?

Ummmm, bitch, did you really just INSULT harry potter???!!!

This would've been forgiven if the author hadn't made one the most major mistakes any author anywhere could do; mess up her grammar. And, yea I know, you'll defend her by saying it was just a typo but oh no, sir, I got proof. Or shall I say, proofs.
Here they are:
Your right
Your still in love with Amy
Their probably off having sex right now
I'll come back to pick them up when their finished
their still a big part of your life
After reading all these, I swear I was like:

There are some other minor glitches like the fact that Jake's mom always hated Paige. Like, always. If I had a childhood friend, his mum would probably know me and love me. If she doesn't then it's kinda weird. But does Paige bother finding out why?? Nope.
Jake drops off hints every two minutes that he likes her, but does Paige notice or pay attention? Nope.
He won't let any other guy kiss her in school but would kiss her if he was given a dare!! How is that not creepy?? And when he meets her, the first thing he does is nuzzles her neck and says I missed how good you smell
What kind of a best friend does that??!! How could Paige be so blind?? AND, she lets him sleep in her bed when he comes to visit!!! What kind of best friends do that??!!!! And she thought he was like her brother!! That is so gross!!!
And when Jake confesses his love, Paige doesn't mention she's with Ben and that she's cheating on him with Dylan. She just says she can't be together with Jake cause they live 6 hours away!! Is it only me or she's really the dumbest girl since Aurora Belle's heroine in willing captive???
Anyways, Ben finds out she slept with Dylan, tries to hit her and Dylan, of course comes to the rescue.
You would think they would discuss what happened but this is how their convo goes:
Paige: Dylan please don't. It's done now, so please leave it.
Dylan: You're right. I was trying to be thoughtful by bringing you breakfast but I guess it kinda got ruined.
And then they talk about his breakfast and how sweet he is and go off to make out as though Ben didn't try to hit her 5 minutes ago!!!

The same happens when Jake kisses Paige. He says let's just have fun and forget it and she agrees without discussing it!! Talk about ignoring your dirt!!!

Then, we get the same old, same old issues.
Boyfriend's pics with another girl circulate through social media.
Girl friend is angry. They make up when b.f claims he got set up.
Boy friend sees girlfriend kiss her best friend (Jake), grows angry and cheats on her.
girl friend leaves all angry.
Oh and

After going back home, time flies by. Paige meets Dylan again. Then:

we fast forward to find out Paige and Dylan are back again. They get married and live happily ever after.
Jake is revealed to be happy with some other girl. Paige doesn't go back to college (apparently) and Dylan has made it big time into the base ball industry and owns a huge mansion whose many beauties the author described in a full chapter.
I am so glad to be done with this novel. It was real agony. I'll end it all with:

If a book could jump the shark, this one might fit that category. The end was super rushed. Almost felt as though the author was tired of writing and trying to develop the story and decided to just end it as quickly as possible, while trying/failing to salvage some sort of respectable end. Luckily, it ended as quickly as it did because I didn't have to suffer through a drawn out conclusion that may have been a letdown anyway. I'd say skip this one.

A re-read

I read this book way back in 2014, I think.

I liked the story line and the characters. Easy to read and get on board with. Nothing too exciting has nail biting.

The only problem for me was how 6 months later everything progressed really fast, almost like the author just wanted to wrap it up.

Oh where to start with this book. I finished it!!! Yay for me!!! I tried to put it down and walk away but I have this weird thing about finishing books no matter what. It may take me two years but I'll read a page a day for an eternity just to say I finished a book. That was this book. It was short and it sadly, took me far to long to finish. It should have taken me hours not days to finish this one. But unfortunately there was very little to keep me engaged.

The general plot was good enough but it was boring. The characters were flat with no depth leaving me not connecting with any of them. The sex wasn't interesting in the least. And considering Dylan was supposed to be a man-whore, he should have been a bit more inventive and entertaining but sadly it was all very vanilla compared to other New Adult books out there. Aside from horrible character development, the plot while good, wasn't developed either. Most parts were either too long or far too short to move the story along properly. It took forever for Paige and Dylan to get together. Paige's relationship with Ben isn't all that exciting and while I get that's what Williams was going for, something was still missing there to make me really feel bad for Paige when Ben got angry with her. Then the portion of the book where Paige and Dylan were actually together and happy was too long for everything else that needed to happen in the book. And let's talk about Paige's best friend Jake. I really liked Jake. In fact he was about the only character I felt anything for in this book. And then nothing happens with him. He expresses his love for Paige and she just sort of ignores it never to bring up again anywhere in the book. Even at the end of the story, I couldn't help but think, well what about Jake? He was the only person who I felt deserved anything in this book. So underdeveloped....why have a character like that when it went no where? I just don't get it.

And let's talk a bit more about plot. The part concerning Paige's dad was so underdeveloped you couldn't even feel sad about it when he tells Paige. That is not supposed to happen. The reader should have felt gutted and destroyed for Paige, but nope, nothing going on in the emotional stratosphere for me with that plot twist. And then the big plot twist at the end...Did you not see it coming? How could you not? It's bound to happen when you don't use protection. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that bit out. What I found most astounding with the big plot twist was that Paige was supposed to be this innocent girl but smart. Wouldn't she have guarded against such possible outcomes? I'm just saying. Now let's talk about the very end. I was glad that Paige and Dylan ended up together in the end and that they were going to become a happy little family. I suppose that was the only part about the book that I truly liked.

So to conclude, this wasn't a great book. It had potential and with a bit more editing and development, I think it could have been good. If you like New Adult, there are far better books out there than this one. I'm sorry. I hate to say bad things about writers because I'm not one and I know it's hard. But I want readers to be informed before they invest in a book.

Almost a 4 out of 5
This is a decent read but it has one problem for me, it tried too hard to hurry the characters along, they obviously had more to say than the author gave them a chance to spit out.
I know that may sound and odd thing to say but I have heard so often from authors that their characters dictate what they write, that they are almost dictating what the characters in their heads are telling them, but with this, I got the feeling that Cori had just told them enough and cut them off mid-sentence.
There was enough for the story to have been developed a little more and for the timelines to have been shortened.
But all that being said the story itself was a good. It was well written and it was evocative.
It was fairly straight forward in as much as the characterisation, Paige the good girl heads off to college where she meets Dylan the boy that everyone warns her to stay away from, the guy who has a past that she could never understand and that has absolutely no interest in ever having a girlfriend… until- wait for it – yep, you got it, until he meets Paige.
A proper tomboy she has always been comfortable around male friends, her best friend growing up was Jake but this young woman is the apple of her daddy’s eye (having lost her mother during early childhood) and when she sets her sights on college significantly out of her father’s immediate reach, she is about to get schooled in more ways than one.
First of all her roommate Kitty has a few changes that she needs her to make and first on the list is the daddy approved wardrobe- these girls are going shopping!
Kitty is everything Paige isn’t so she reluctantly accepts her new roomies assistance. Paige is introduced to Chris (Kitty’s brother) and Dylan when they are out shopping. Dylan being Chris’s roommate.
The signs are evident from that first meeting that this pair are heading in a direction that no-one could have ever anticipated, so Kitty makes sure that Paige is fully up to speed on the ways of the world – Dylan style!
As far as she is concerned Dylan is someone that Paige should steer well clear of... yeh, really like that is ever going to happen.
Dylan is the campus bad boy if you believe what Kitty has to say but this bad boy has a troubled past that few have any idea about and when I read it I have to say I understood a little more about the boy.
Having never meet his mother, Dylan was a ward of the state, being passed from foster family to foster family all through his childhood. Love was a commodity that he never knew while he was growing up, it wasn’t required but he did have one love, one that he cultivated for himself, his love of baseball.
Having survived up until now with no ties to anyone but never being short of willing bedfellow, Dylan is happy with his lot in life but when he meets Paige, something inside his shifts, something clicks into place and he has someone that means something to him.
He just has to make her see that for her, he is willing to change.
This is a feel good read, it doesn’t take too much thinking about, and it is what you would expect it to be. Two kids who set out on the path to a relationship that neither of them knew they wanted and what it took for them to battle through their upheavals and make it out the other end with their hearts and relationship still intact.
