Alessandro Ferrari, nato nel 1978, è sceneggiatore di fumetti, sceneggiatore di cartoni animati e autore. La sua carriera di sceneggiatore è iniziata nel 2005 durante un corso presso l’Accademia Disney di Milano.
Ha iniziato a scrivere fin da piccolissimo, storie e fumetti, al termine del Liceo ha poi deciso che quello sarebbe stato il suo mestiere.

Alessandro Q. Ferrari è stato ospite al festival Mare di Libri nelle edizioni del 2010 e 2018.

My nephew who is 8 helped in reviewing this with me as he hadn’t seen the movie for Brave so was all about reading the story (and I was all about keeping him from the glazed eye look he gets when viewing any movie and TV). He absolutely adored this, the downside being we now will need to watch the film as a treat. The graphics were fun for me since they were extremely well done and the text was easy to follow for him. Sadly I can’t speak to how it will translate on a Kindle for Kids as we used my device, but assuming it goes well (or a kid would use their parents e-reader of choice) I highly recommend the e version and would recommend a physical copy. I’ll be recommending this for parents and friends struggling to get kids away from the TV and into reading (though beware it may lead you to a viewing party after all). As a treat, there are short stories to keep the adventure going after the main plot wraps up.

Kisah Merida dalam graphic novel ini terasa terburu-buru, diceritakan terlalu cepat dan ringkas sehingga banyak momen yang seharusnya terasa intens dan mendebarkan, menjadi kehilangan makna.

Momen yang kehilangan makna tersebut masih terasa menyenangkan untuk dibaca hanya karena aku inget persis filmnya.

Ya, sebetulnya apasih yang bisa diharapkan dari graphic novel 50 halaman. Sangat tipis, untuk cerita yang perlu dijabarkan lebih. Banyak panel yang rasanya langsung loncat sana sini, padahal di film itu scene yang menimbulkan banyak rasa.

Sayang disayangkan, padahal Brave salah satu film disney yg paling aku suka. Makna dan pesan dari kisah ini sangat berbekas di aku. Merida princess favoritku!

Jadi, aku bisa bilang bahwa buku ini mungkin hanya cocok untuk yg udah pernah nonton filmnya, dan pengen refresh ingatan akan ceritanya. Buku ini kurang cocok untuk yg blm pernah nonton, tapi pengen tau ceritanya dengan baca ini. Ga cocok karena feelnya ga dapet sama sekali.

I love Merida so much and this really hits that same feeling. It is a retelling of the movie, but it also adds a few short stories at the end that I have never seen before. I love the art and can't wait to get a copy for myself.

This was a very fun story to listen to and made all the better by Lucy Rayner's narration which was fabulous. The "Highland" Brogue was great and she pulled off all the different characters so well. I found myself taking the long way home just so I could listen longer.
