This life is yours and you have to start living it. I want you to be happy. Do you hear me, Lor? You deserve to be happy.
Jaxon, of course, my pierced, tattooed, knight in shining armour.
"I'm going to cuddle the shit out of you."
"Mommy, why is Jaxon in bed with you? Oh my God, did you see his penis mommy? Grandma, mommy saw Jaxon's penis!"
We were meant to be.
And that is how my destiny was changed forever.

Loralei Harper is destined, or believes her destiny is to marry Declan, the young man she grew up with, the one she shares her first kiss with, her best friend and ultimately her boyfriend. They celebrate their birthdays together and they are only a year apart in age. Loralei and Declan live in a very small town and I mean very small. It is country all the way, with a very small population, beautiful farms and open fields.
Is Loralei's destiny to marry Declan, have children with him and live happily ever after? Well like we have all heard before, things change and they do, quite often, in this story but I don't want to give any spoilers away. I want you to read it for yourself :0) I enjoyed their story. I laughed and I could relate in many ways because I live in a very rural area.
I will tell you that you will meet two very, sexy characters, Jaxon (my personal fav) a pierced, motorcycle riding, tattooed bad boy and Cade your all American full-fledged cowboy which makes for an interesting love triangle here and at times you are unsure of where things will go and who will go or which direction they will go lol. I enjoyed all the characters and the rolls they played fit into the story very nicely. In my opinion, though, Cade was somewhat pushy. Both of them fall in love with Loralei and there is drama as well as poor communication which at times will create frustration.
There were some things that worked for me and there were some things that didn't work for me but that is just a simple statement that really applies to everyone. There was some repetition but I understood it was part of the way Ms. Harley wrote the story and it did not deter me from reading on to see what would happen next. The story for me improved about the halfway mark and Ms. Harley worked everything out very well. For a first novel, she did a wonderful job telling the story in the many different POV'S that she did. Ms. Harley has potential and I look forward to her next novel. I was provided an ARC copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
