Spanning over four decades, the James Bond movies are loved the world over. Published in a mini book format, 'The Little Book of Bond' features some of the classic lines from the films.
Covering the beloved Sean Connery movies through to 1999's "The World Is Not Enough," you'll be able to relive some unforgettable Bond moments with these quotations.
Recognize the Bonds? My favourite is third from right.
ALMOST everybody loves watching James Bond films. I am no exception to that. I love reading Ian Fleming. He is the British guy who invented Bond, James Bond. But then I love reading books having to do anything with James Bond or his films. "The Little Book of Bond" is one such book. It has been published in a mini-book format and contains some of the classic lines from the films. Some are witty one-liners that are bound to make you laugh. Some others consist of canny dialogue carried out between agent 007 and a fiery female. In some places, villains too are involved or M or Q.
Goldfinger (1964) -- Art of the title.
Covering the beloved Sean Connery films through to 1999's "The World Is Not Enough," you will be able to relive some unforgettable Bond moments with these quotations. From "Goldfinger", I adore "My name is Pussy Galore" to which Bond replies "I must be dreaming."
Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore in "Goldfinger".
Here is another crafty one: "My dear girl, don't flatter yourself. What I did this evening was for Queen and country! You don't think it gave me any pleasure, do you?"
A text-based minimalist poster for "From Russia With Love", the second Bond film. The film was ironically titled "From 007 With Love" in Pakistan as the establishment here somehow thought that it would be annoying its good old friend, the United States of America.
I would have easily given the book five stars had it contained stills from the films the quotations have been taken from. The tome looks pretty dry without the photographs of various actors who portrayed Bond, the heroines whom he gave his heart to and the villains with whom he played a deadly game of cat and mouse.
From Russia With Love: Putin with his top-notch physique would make a fabulous 007.
Great bit of fun. If you are a Bond fan then this is just another little book to add to your collection. Recommended for Bond nuts everywhere. You see their lips move as they read and enjoy this charming little book.
Classic quotes from the Bond movies make entertaining reading when seen together.
I particularly like 'My name is Pussy Galore' to which Bond replies 'I must be dreaming.' Wish I fully understood it!!!
And in whatever context I don't think I would be brave enough to offer 'My dear girl, don't flatter yourself. What I did this evening was for Queen and country! You don't think it gave me any pleasure do you?'
I must also confess 'I do like a girl in a bikini,' ... but 'no concealed weapons', I don't think I would be looking!
Finally I'd love to use 'Miss Anders [substitute an appropriate name] ... I didn't recognise you with your clothes on.' I suppose I will have to carry on dreaming ... but the book was fun.
