Ruth Glick (born 1942) is a best-selling author of healthy cookbooks and has also written dozens of romantic suspense romance novels under the pen name Rebecca York.

Ruth earned a B.A. in American Thought and Civilization from George Washington University and an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Maryland. Although she always wanted to become a writer, Glick was convinced that her lack of spelling skills meant that her goal was unattainable. As a stay-at-home mother, she took a community college course to help her choose a career. The course made it very clear that writing was her primary interest. Glick began writing articles for newspapers and magazines, but after several years decided to try writing fiction. Her first book, a kids' science fiction book, was finally purchased by Scholastic Inc..

Since then, Glick has become a highly successful author of over 50 romantic suspense and paranormal novels. Many of her novels are published under the Harlequin Intrigue line, and in June 2003, she became one of the first authors published under Berkley's new Sensation imprint. Before 1997, she often collaborated with Eileen Buckholtz and Kathryn Jenson.

Glick also is a highly regarded author of cookbooks focusing on healthy eating. She sometimes hires trained chefs to test the recipes that she creates, and makes sure that every recipe is tested at least three times before it appears in one of her cookbooks.

Glick is the head of the Columbia Writers Workshop. She and her husband, Norman Glick, live in Columbia, Maryland, where Ruth collects rocks, and enjoys cooking, walking, reading, gardening, travel, and Mozart operas. They have two grown children, Elissa and Ethan, and two grandsons (Jesse and Leo).

Good read

The books were a nice and quick read but still had a story line that made sense. Sometimes with short stories, the story line is lacking. But, not with these books!

Paranormal romance

This series definitely focuses more on the romance than the suspense. Most of the series is good no matter what you're looking for. At other times there are issues with consent that drive me up a wall when its waved away because they're soul mates.

Different

At first it's like any other detective story but weaving in a little paranormal into each story gives them a little extra. Good read.

This collection contains four books: Dark Powers, Chained, Hot and Dangerous, and Ambushed. The first book, Dark Powers, was decent. It was a good length and the plot had twist and turns which made for a good read. In fact, 70% of this collection is the first book. The other three books were very short and hard to get into. They were basically guy and girl get together; guy and girl have sex; story over. Very little plot or character development. I got the collection for free and the first book was a decent read, so it wasn't all bad, but I could have done without the other three books.

This has been on my TBR for forever....... taunting me to read, but other books kept slipping in lol This was an ok read. I'm glad it is out of the way now.

All 4 stories were intriguing and also hokey lol... the lovely-dovey stuff that thankfully didn't go on for long, it might have been hard to finish. The aspect that kept me intrigued was the paranormal element in each story! The stories were the right amount in length.

If you are needing light something after reading an emotional book, this is a good distraction.

I think that it is very hard to find good writers and even harder to find good editors. I cannot believe the grammar problems and fragmented sentences in this book and others I have read in the past couple of years. I should get a job as an editor. I find mistakes constantly and it truly does distract me from the work. The first story was interesting and I would watch it as a movie, but the rest of them were boring and not worth my time. It was just ok and I am tired of just ok books.

Great choice for quick hot reads. In reading one of the stories found I had read it before but read it again anyways. Sexy unique men in each that are spittle different work for an agency who it would seem pleasure to rescue and protect the girl. Fast pace story lines.

These four stories were very well written. The men are hot and the women can hold their own. I would recommend this series to others.
