Phaedra had always been different than the rest of her peers. Recently she started to accept that was just the way she was—a seeker of chaos and adventure. Nothing seemed to satisfy her insatiable hunger for the ill-behaved. When her brother can no longer handle her rebellious behavior, he makes a very harsh decision to send Phaedra to her estranged grandparents’ home on a Navajo Reservation in the middle of nowhere. Phaedra’s tenacious spirit is not willing to accept her brother’s rash decision. The minute her plane lands in Albuquerque, she quickly makes plans to escape. Her plans to run are easily thwarted when she looks into the ochre eyes of a man named Ebon who was sent by her grandparents to pick her up. He is bold and unusual, but in an entirely different way than Phaedra had ever seen before. Not only do Ebon’s strange good-looks easily suck Phaedra in, but so does the extraordinary connection she feels for him. Once in the small town of Ramah, New Mexico, strange things start to happen to Phaedra, things that couldn’t possibly be real. She is torn between leaving the man who effortlessly lured her there and the life she used to live. Little does Phaedra realize she is the key to the future of many who are just like her. Can Phaedra accept her preordained fate or does she fight it like everything else that has ever presented itself in her life? Can Ebon and Phaedra resist their powerful attraction for each other to obtain an unseen promise of something so much more rewarding?
Enjoyed this book of shifters. I liked the twist that none of the shifters knew what they would shift into until they received their spirit guide (that would be animal form). There were all kinds in this book from a puppy to dragons. Also their level of powers varied and was dependent on how pure the shifter blood. These shifters could also shift into objects or shift parts of their body in to object (fingers to blades), pretty clever.
I just loved this book! The twists and turns the story kept taking totally kept my intrigued. It reminded me of The Mortal Instruments, I Am Number Four, and Twilight all mixed into one! I'll be thinking about Phaerdra and Ebon for a while! It's going to be a long year to wait for the next one!

One of those novels that is so unique and totally engrossing. I was so eager to turn every page to see what the next developement was. Obviously a very brillant writer who kept the twists and turns coming throughout the entire novel.I can not wait to see what is in store for the next one!
This book is so life changing! I loved reading this book. It will take you into a world that will stretch your imagination unbelievably. Full of action and adventure and a conjoining of worlds no one would expect. I would recommend this book to anyone. It moves so well and is beautifully written. I can't believe a major publisher hasn't snagged this one. This will be a big deal someday soon!
I couldn't put this book down. The reviews were right on about this one. I felt it was well written. I am in love with the characters. Can't wait for this one to continue. A great paranormal romance that is very different from the norm you read out there. I to feel that this book would make a great movie.
Loved this book!!!!! It pulled me in from the first chapter. My imagination just went wild with it.... I could picture everything that was going on all the twists and turns...Ahhh I cant wait for "Immix" Annette Anthony job well done :)
I read an un-edited version and I have to say, noticing all the typos made a difference. Besides that, I give the story line an A. The book pulled me in and I couldn't wait to see what happened. I will be reading the next one. The big down side is that the great story line gets slowed down by the constant love thoughts of the main characters. I like a good love story, but it would be nice in the adventurous sequences to not be bogged down by, "I looked into his ochre eyes and got lost."
The author has obvious talent, and with some work could find great success. The way it is currently written, no emotions were stirred even in moments that should've been intense, which I think could be due to emotional events coming too soon in the storyline. I wasn't able to connect with the heroine and some parts were predictably corny (i.e., grandfather's last scene). Whomever edited the book did a fantastic job.
i feel honored to have known this author personally. annette has completely gained my loyalty. anyways collide has stepped to one of my favorite books of all time. someone needs to contact a publishing company about this author!!!!!!!!
