Goddess Young is devastated when her husband Spliff disappears kidnapped by some crooked cops on a power trip. When she finds out he’s dead, she has a hard time picking up the pieces of her life and finds it spiraling out of control. She loses her home and almost her sanity, torn by grief as she wonders how she'll survive without him. She’s unable to find a job and found herself in the middle of her friend, Quetta's problems. It looked like the end of the road for her until she received a phone call that gets her out of the heat, for now. A new town brings about a newfound happiness and love that she didn’t believe was possible. Goddess tries to keep her head above water but it's nearly impossible with fresh dripping wet blood on her hands. Jealousy, deceit, and betrayal rears its ugly head throughout this book especially when she realizes that the dead has secrets too.

OH SNAP! Nicety has really done it this time! If you are looking for a read with many surprises and twists from beginning to end, then Nicety's Killing Me Softly is the book for you. I've completed the book, and I am still shocked at the ending. I don't know how she does it, but Nicety comes up with the best storelines around. Her books are nothing short of soap opera. I know one day some of these stories will make it to the big screen. Until then, please keep em coming, Nicety, and I will keep reading em! Can't wait to see what story Nicety has for us next. She's really in it to win it! This lady really knows how to keep her audience satisfied. Glad to be riding with #TEAMNICETY! This job rated with nothing less than 5 stars!
“Killing Me Softly” by Nicety was a wild ride from beginning to end. It is the story of Goddess Young, a young woman who is running from her past. Going to a new town, Goddess believes that she has finally found the happiness she longs for. But what happens when the demons of the past start to resurface? I’ve been a reader of Nicety’s for quite some time now and I must say, “Killing Me Softly does not disappoint! The story itself was very fast paced. There was suspense, action, romance, and more. There were so many twists and turns that I definitely didn’t see coming! There were a few errors but nothing that took away from the storyline. Looking forward to part two! 5 stars!
I liked the beginning of the book. I was captivated to see how things were going to go. I was feeling sorry for the main character Goddess Young. When the cops rode off with her husband and he was never to be heard from again. With evidence of his death Goddess is having a tough time moving on. As she makes her waves she turns into a true witch.
As the book progressed it turned down hill as the author went for shock value and added way too many variables. With any one of the many situations it would of worked great, but with them all it was over kill and all over the place. I was into the book at first and when all was laid out I was left to say "hell to the naw" no way is this believably. This could of been a good novel but the fact that is was everywhere it stop short.
It is evident that this author has an active imagination and while the over the top drama may work for some, it doesn't work for me. Finding the right amount of action/drama is tricky and I need a little less then this offered.

I'm giving this book a 4 1/2 it was good from beginning to end and Nicety did her thing just Goddess put herself in some rough situations and it got fed up with it aftee awhile there. Loved the story though.
Well damn the book was the truth. Cole was desperate and crazy, Goddess was always looking for love from a man who didn't give damn about nobody but Karma is a bitch. Truth just got caught up with someone who is selfish and don't know how to love. Spiff and Desire deserve each other
