Lincoln “Linc” Tatman had been at his new school for months and he thought he’d met all the girls it had to offer. Until one day, he spied Wyn sitting against a tree and realized this new place had been hiding the girl of his dreams. He goes out of his way to get to know her, even though he’s warned that it’s a hopeless case. But he’s determined to win her, even if she can only be his for a short time.
Arwyn “Wyn” Scott is the black sheep of her big gypsy family. When most of the girls her age are dropping out to start their own families, she begs her parents to stay. She doesn’t fit in with the gypsy teens and the regular teens are too afraid of her five older brothers to get close. Then Linc comes into her life, showing her a new life she never thought she could have. She can’t stop herself from falling head first for the boy.
Can Wyn leave behind her family and their traditions to follow her heart, or will she become a young gypsy wife?
Michelle is a 28 year old native Ohioan. Go Buckeyes! She lives with her husband and son. When she isn’t spending time with her family or working you can find her with her nose stuck in a good book. On October 3, 2012 she released her first book as an independent author, Reviving Bloom.
I really love Michelle Turner's work, she is an amazing writer and her work just always seems to amaze me. I found Promised refreshing from the paranormal and fantasy genres I have been reading. It was nice to read something that could be considered real life drama. Promised captured me from page one. Once I started I couldn't put it down, there was so much going on, I had to know what the ending was going to be, I had to see it through.
Wyn's family has certain beliefs, most of their marriages are arranged, the woman don't get to choose who they marry and most do not have the option of finishing school. Their jobs are to cook, clean and take care of the family. If they refuse they will be shunned from the family and never allowed back in. Wyn's problem is she doesn't want to marry the man she is promised to, her heart has already been claimed by Linc. If she refuses then she has to give up the only family and friends she has ever known. They're is too much at stake for her to leave her family for Linc, but her heart tells her she can't live with out him.
Linc spies the girl of his dreams and can immediately imagine spending the rest of his life with her. He is warned off, though, due to her being a gypsy, complete with most of the gypsy ideals. These include marrying young, her partner chosen by her family, not someone she falls in love with.
Wyn is somewhat of a black sheep in her family. She has somehow persuaded her dad to allow her to stay on in school and graduate. But this comes with conditions - she can't be around 'normal' boys, she must be collected each day by her brothers, or at a push her sister in law, and she must accept her parents decision when it comes to marriage.
Against her better judgement, Wyn allows Linc to get close to her, closer than he should. She lies to her family and tries to keep her friendship with Linc secret. She doesn't promise Wyn a long term future, she can just give him a short time before she has to be married. At first he agrees, but as they begin to get closer, and their feelings towards each other change, can they honestly say goodbye when it comes time for her to leave?
I, like a lot of you, will have watched the programmes on tv, and will know a little about the gypsy life and codes they live by. Wyn's dad makes it perfectly clear that if she were ever to choose a relationship with a non gypsy, she would be shunned by her family and be unable to see them again.
Obviously this ultimatum has Wyn deciding to go ahead and marry Shay, the boy who has asked her dad for her hand. She doesn't love him, in fact she doesn't even like him, but she has to do it in order to keep her family happy.
She decides what has to be done, and goes forward with the life her family have planned for her. But will she change her mind? A shocking discovery has her in turmoil, but how will the story turn out?
The story, if I'm honest, started off pretty slow for me. I wasn't getting into it as much as I'd hoped I would. However I soon changed my mind when things started to heat up between Linc and Wyn. Their story is one of turmoil, internal struggles, and I was willing these 2 to get together permanently. I can totally understand the decisions Wyn has to make throughout the story, even though they may not be the ones I wanted her to make.
This is a good read, and I would definitely recommend it.
LOVED this book! It had such a positive message about which path you should take in life and the compromises that go with it. This is a YA contemporary romance not to be missed!
Kay first things first: Michelle Turner, total sweetheart ;), asked lit old me if I would review this for her, in exchange for a free copy. Now if you have never Reviving Bloom by Michelle go do that cause it was amazing. But this was amazing as well. Now that is stated, lets start this awesome review.
Now usually I start off with a song choice, but i wanted to say something before I did. Now when I first saw the description of this book, I was very hesitate about reading it. Why? Well First off: I, on occasion, in very rare cases read contemp. fiction. Its a personal choice really. So on top of that, I had this one summer where all I did, literally was watch the show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on TLC, i don't even regret or feel guilty about this little fact because TLC really makes things more than just about screaming Bridzillas, its about the culture. So with that said i know somewhat about this culture, and as much as i respect that is how other chose to live, i don't not like it very much, honestly this is how i described it to a friend of mine: Imagine Jersey Shore with Morals. The girls get married between 14 to the OLDEST and i am not shitting you, they thought she was an old lady for waiting so long was 21. And they have very strict rules for the girls, boys can do whatever the hell they want. Really. So on top of the fact that i was already a little uncomfortable with the idea of a Romany girl, and a Gorger boy that Gorger boy (Gorger meaning townie, or non-gypsy folks) wants to go into the army. And all i can think is Michelle what are you doing to me?! I don't like Army boys why? Their stories tend to be heartbreaking and i won't do it! So in spite of all that i FUCKING loved this. Loved it.
So Song choice: "You and I" by Lady Gaga this song is for Linc who i love dearly and planning on jumping into this book and stealing him away forever. And don't you be dissing Lady Gaga cause i think she has an amazing voice, and i will openly admit she is a guilty pleasure of mine. "Cups" by Lulu and the Lampshades for Wyn. And "Make You Feel My Love" Cover by Adele for their love.
Well since i sort of did my first thoughts already i am going to jump into plot
Plot: Now like i have mentioned this is about Romany meets Gorger ( i really hope i am spelling that right but since i am lazy i am not going to check right now) Now forbidden romances is a high for some people, but for me they freak me out. Why? Because i assume they will just be filled with bitter-sweet heartache throughout the whole book. Even those moments that are meant to be carefree and beautiful i still remember in the back my heads, as usually does the characters that this can only last for so long. WELL Michelle Turner does an amazing job of making me forget everything but these two. I was so lost in moments that I didn't feel that bittersweet moments. Those oh this is going to end badly moments. There were only two times in this book that I felt this could go downhill completely and utterly. Every time these two were together it was like magic. Now one of the big reasons i steer towards paranormal, scifi, fantasy, etc, etc is because I like action, i like stuff that keeps me going. Here is the thing though this went so quickly for me, that i didn't realize til i stopped to do statuses on how far i really was. It was amazing pacing and never once did i get bored, which is ironic because lately i have been very bored with the paranormals i have been reading. Thanks for the break in the line of blah books! So though this might be a tale as old as time (hehehe i am totally giggling and freaking out a little at my beauty and the beast reference) it will not bore you, nor will it feel trite. Its a love story through and through. it will make you laugh, it will break your heart, it will mend your heart just to break it again, to fix it again, and if you desire so you can rinse and repeat like it says on your shampoo bottle. i highly recommend it for this book. ;) in other words read it over and over again.
Characters:
Linc: OMGOSH. SWOON-ASTIC. like the good swooning where you actually faint, none of that sissy, fake swooning girls do this days. NAH this is hardcore, bad-assery swooning. He is I have decided with the slight help of Michelle, that he is Channing Tatum and Ryan Gosling's BABY. that is how gorgeous he is...in my mind. He is about as sweet as chocolate, or skittles in my case cause i hate chocolate nasty stuff...yeah i get it i am a poor excuse for a woman. i got over it. Anyways the fact that he is the patient zero of jocks, like he embodies everything that i would place in a stereotypical looking jock, he is nothing like a stereotypical jock. He wants a girl with brains. Someone he can talk to, someone that he can really grow with. He does the most amazing things for Wyn too. He ugh he is just amazing. here are some of my favorite Linc moments:
“Wyn, I’m after your heart.”
“You’re wrong, Wyn. We’ll have the memories and I’d rather have those than nothing.” I want to reach out and grab her. I want to hold her in my arms, but I know she has boundaries that I’m not use to and I can’t cross them. I’m afraid to even hold her hand, that it might cross some unseen line.
“Then I’ll be your Linc and you’ll be my Wyn.”
And I know at that moment that having her lips on me is as close as I’ll ever get to heaven without actually dying.
ONE MORE than i SWEAR i am done!
I growl. “You’re mine, Wyn. They aren’t fucking taking you away from me.”
Kay so that was Linc, if you aren't swooning, i didn't pick the right lines then. Or something might be wrong with you...sorry... :/
Wyn: Now here is where things get a little complicated. I wanted to hate her. I am serious i wanted to hate Wyn at times. I wanted to hate her for doing this to Linc. In the beginning for her i felt that she was using him a little bit. I always felt like Linc was in this 100 and 10 percent. There was no going back for him. But Wyn, she was the game changer. I wanted to make her the bad guy, honest to God i did. But i couldn't ever do that to her. She was a very interesting character and I liked her for that. She was this really classy-dressed stylish girl, beautiful to boot, but unbelievably dedicated and smart girl. Not a lot of Gypsy girls finish high school, honestly i think most drop out before even getting to High School. Not only does Wyn want to graduate but she is top of her class. She is a smart with, with a a very heavy decision on her shoulders. Her decision to leave or not to leave, i was scared would be completely based on Linc, but in the end i think that she has more to think about a boy. I think that Michelle did an excellent job of making not just a love story but a story about growing, and becoming more than just yourself...if that makes sense. There is so much more out there for Wyn and i feel like she wants to touch the stars (figuratively her dream job is not to be astronaut so get that out of your head right now!) Anyways in the end Wyn won my heart and deviation she was a worthy MC and even though i hated her at times I always respected her.
The end. Seriously. The end of this review. JUST KIDDING! the end of the book, perfect. No cliffies since this is a standalone from what i believe there are going to be spinoff stories, but this was this and YAY.
Thanks again to Michelle for a) offering me a free copy b) because of offering the free copy actually gave me that last little push to read this because i am being dead serious i was very concerned about reading this. But it was totally worth it. Now if you want to see my review for her other book, or any other book, or indie books, or yeah you can check out my other review in one place! OMGOD she is about to tell me she has a blog, i know that is what you are thinking, but the full review of promised is here, as i do with all my reviews so :p its just an easier way to find indie books that are amazing, or maybe not so much. And :p if you think otherwise. So here is the link: http://theviolethourbookreviews.wordp...
Promised is about a girl and a boy and a whole lot of obstacles in between them. It’s a classic plotline, but Turner has managed to make it unique.
At the very beginning, we’re introduced to Linc “The Great Lincoln Tatman”. His popularity at school means he can have any girl he wants. But he doesn’t want any girl. Once he sets his sights on Wyn, he knows he’s found the girl he never wants to let go. Slightly cocky and arrogant, you can’t help but like Linc from the beginning as his fixation on Wyn grows into something more than just lust.
Wyn is unlike any other young woman I’ve seen gracing the pages of YA. She’s one of the Romani—a gypsy. Due to the strict family traditions, she is a girl who is never alone with a boy who she isn’t related to, and can only date a gypsy boy as long as she has a chaperone—not that that would ever happen. Wyn’s involvement with the gypsy way of life stops there. She does not want to become someone’s wife at 18. She does not want to be stuck at home raising children. Wyn’s dreams are so much bigger than that, but she doesn’t realize they are possible until a fateful meeting with Linc.
Turner takes us on a journey through Wyn and Linc’s sweet beginnings where they send flirty little text messages to each other. From the very start, these two are irrevocably connected to each other. As the story progresses, the biggest obstacle to their blossoming love is revealed: Wyn is on the verge of getting engaged to a boy she’s known since she was a kid, but who she’s never thought of as anything more than a friend. Against her will, the date is set for the marriage and Wyn is left with the heartbreaking task of telling Linc.
As the Big Day grows nearer and the wedding plans are ramped up, Wyn’s resistance to the idea eventually drives a wedge between her and her mother, and Wyn knows that if she walks away from her life with her family to be with Linc, she’ll never be allowed back again. She’d lose contact with her brothers, her mother, her father and the most important person in her life—her best friend. She’d never get to meet her unborn niece and that’s what hurts her the most.
Even though she knows it’s wrong, she finds herself unable to stay away from Linc. She knows it’s wrong to lead him on. He knows she’s promised to another. But they both want to spend what little time they have together.
I loved Linc and Wyn, and together they made an even more adorable couple. The exhilarating flutters of first love are so beautifully described in this book, and their first kiss had me thinking about my own. Turner has done a great job of building Linc and Wyn’s world, of building their love. I really enjoyed reading Promised. It was a love story that had me hooked from the beginning.
I’d highly recommend Michelle Turner’s Promised if you like love stories where seemingly impossible obstacles are overcome, that have you rooting for the couple, sharing their smiles and their tears, yelling at the pages when they don’t and cheering them on when they finally make the right decision.
Favourite scene: Wyn and Linc dancing to Adele’s Make You Feel My Love.
Favourite line: “You do realize I look like a stripper’s closet threw up on me, right?” ~ Wyn
This book was given by the author in exchange for an honest review.
First impression The reason why I decided I want to read this book is because I have no idea what gypsy life is. I learned a lot from the culture in this book and I find them very interesting. It did leave me some holes on the culture, like, what do the men do for a living, or why "Gorger" is the term for non-gypsy people, and such... But in extent, it made me learn a lot and I got curious on the culture itself.
Beginning The beginning of the book was very straight forward. It really tells you what the blurb said. They fell in love... and looking at it, it was love at first sight. It was quite weird for me because it was so fast. It's like, they like each other before they met, and fell in love before they went something deeper. It's young love but very mature.
Middle I have to admit, I was expecting fighting scenes in this book. Because the author fed me with information what the characters can do. I just thought it would be cool if there was a face off with the characters. But then again, this is not about them, this is about Wyn and Linc and how they would sort things out for what they got into. And since it's about them, we see the blossoming of their relationship. It's just so amazing that they include their futures too. Their future is such an amazing factor in this book. In other love stories, you will see the characters falling in love but won't see what would be next for them individually and as a couple. I'm just glad that the author incorporated both of them in the book, thus, making the characters deeper, mature and more realistic.
I truly love that there were events in the book that really weighed Wyn's decision. It shows that even the readers might think that she will choose either.
Ending The ending was good. I kind of didn't like the fact that there was an excuse why Wyn chose the ultimate decision, because it came out as a result not really a choice. It just gives the idea that it's a usual plot line. But other than that, I appreciated that there was an epilogue. And I'm so happy with the ending.
Characters You gotta love the characters. In a sense, you will definitely know Wyn, but other than Linc's favorite basketball team, I still kind of don't know him. In a sense, the main character is really Wyn but Linc is also a narrator to see the point of view where it's not in Wyn's head.
I also love the secondary and minor characters, like Nate, Dani, Adam, Shay and all of them. They really compliment the main characters and their story.
Overall It was a good book. I like the fact that the author is releasing spin offs because people who would read this book would love to read the stories of other characters.
I am definitely loving the message of the story. And it's the type that you wish you had a 'Linc' in your life that you could fall in love with. It's really good. And if you want to have a love story with drama, this is it!
Thanks to Michelle Turner for the book and looking forward for her next books.
A free digital copy of this book was sent to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
I didn’t really have any prior knowledge to gypsies before reading Promised. Any previous experience with them can all be traced back to Esmeralda and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. That being said, this book intrigued me because I had never seen anything like it before. I have never come across a book which tells the story of two young people who cannot be together merely because of where they came from.
Wyn is a gypsy although she is an anomaly of her kind. She wants to graduate and go on to college when other gypsies her age would have been starting families already. She hates the flashy crystals and colors most of her family members wear and she also falls in love with a non-gypsy.
I really loved Wyn. I thought she was a sagacious character and the way her perspective was written made it seem as if she was real. I liked how she was hesitant about her relationship with Linc because of her background and the fear of what she would leave behind if she choose to follow her heart. I enjoyed reading her point of view as it was filled with snarky humor and a sense of vulnerability. I thought that she was a very well-written character who jumped out of the page and became a real person while I was reading the book.
I didn’t enjoy Linc as much as I did with Wyn. I felt that he wasn’t developed much and I would have preferred to be given a detailed background on why he wanted to enlist. His father was a military man but the details of why he wanted to be one himself aren’t really explained. I found some parts written in Linc’s perspective to be a little dry although the first page, which was written in his point of view, was a brilliant start. It got me hooked onto the book right away but I really wish that Linc was developed more as the story unfolded.
Linc and Wyn’s relationship moved too fast for my taste so I wasn’t that emotionally invested in them. On the other hand, I loved the other non-romantic relationships especially Wyn and her mom’s as that bit about the wedding dress made me laugh out loud.
Michelle Turner paced her story quite well. Even if the relationship aspect moved too quickly, the story didn’t lag and neither did it drag on. There wasn’t a boring moment in the entire book and I really enjoyed myself reading it. The plot was adequately thought out and practically all loose ends tied up by the time the story finished. The only thing I found missing was the aftermath of what happened between Aidan and Marley. I would have liked to know what went on between the two of them after Wyn’s revelation on the way to her graduation.
I was unsure about going into this book since it was about gypsies and like I said, I don’t know much about gypsies, but I thought that Michelle Turner carried it out well. It started strong and finished strong though Linc’s character was problematic for me. I enjoyed this reading experience immensely and I look forward to acquainting myself with Michelle Turner’s future projects.
"I can't give you forever, but I can give you now."
This book was amazing! I wasn't going to do a review for the Blog Tour, but after I read an excerpt that was posted along with the Release Day Blitz I quickly signed up for a review! I fell completely in love with this book! What I loved about it was the forbidden romance aspect of it! There were these two characters that had so much love for each other and they couldn't be together because of a huge obstacle that stood in the way! The plot of this book was so beautiful! I couldn't stop reading it! It sounds quite simple, but there is so much at stake in it! I laughed, smiled and even had a little cry during it! The plot focused on a gypsy family which I have never read another book about, but I have watched TV shows about gypsies so I was intrigued to read about them in a book! I thought that the gypsy aspect was written amazingly! I really enjoyed it! The characters were also amazing! Wyn and Linc were both the main characters and they were both so amazing! Wyn surprised me in this book! I didn't think that I was going to like her as much as I did, but I soon found her completely adorable! I could see how much she didn't really like being a gypsy and how much she wanted to make her own choices with her life, but being a gypsy took those choices away from her! Linc was the guy to come along and make Wyn have to make a big decision! I loved Linc! I loved that I could see the feelings that he had for Wyn were completely genuine! I could also see that he would do anything for her! Linc and Wyn as a couple were so beautiful! Their relationship did go a bit quick, but it was so genuine that I was able to overlook it! The secondary characters all added so much to the story of this book! They all played such important roles and they were all amazing! The ending of this book sums it up completely! I didn't cry at all during this book until the epilogue which I was pretty pleased about as I normally cry the whole way through a book! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone as the ending was absolutely perfect, but I'm also super excited that there are going to be spin off books for some of the other characters in Promised! I can't wait to read them! The cover is also stunning! It suits the book perfectly! Big thank you to Michelle for a copy of Promised and to Amber for having me on the Blog Tour!
ARC provided by Author for an Honest Review 4.5 Stars This was a really Sweet read. When I got this book, I honestly didn’t know what to think. Sure it sounds like a typical YA/NA romance but throw in the gypsies and everything normal is challenged. Most heroines don’t drop out of school at fourteen to get married and have babies as part of their beliefs. Hell, most can barely function because they are so boy-crazy. Being boy-crazy is practically against the law in Wyn’s life. But Wyn is not your average gypsy teen. Wyn has hopes, dreams and aspires to be more than just another gypsy wife.
As unusual as it is for her people, Wyn convinces her father to let her stay in school and graduate. She even hopes to be a nurse one day. But all her plans and hopes are thrown to the way-side when Wyn is told an old friend of hers has asked her father for her hand, her hand in marriage. Wyn is at a loss. In her family not only is this tradition but it’s worthy of dismissal and disownment if she disagrees.
Giving up on her family and best friend is not something Wyn wants to do. Sure she wants to live her life at her choice more, but what’s she to do when turning down this proposal will make her an outcast and leave her all alone.
Linc is a sorta-new student when he spots Wyn. He instantly recognizes her as his soul-mate and vows to do whatever he can to get to know her and make her his. Even when Wyn’s background is brought up, Linc will not be deterred.
When a lucky moment in the guidance counselor’s office aligns Linc and Wyn, Linc makes his move, well moves. Obviously Wyn is hesitant to even know Linc, anyone not a gypsy is looked down upon in her family and thus she has not a single friend at her school. Linc doesn’t let anything stop him, even when he finds out Wyn is promised to another, Linc will take anything and everything from Wyn that he can.
Overall I really enjoyed this story. It was a unique twist to an otherwise contemporary YA/NA romance. Both Wyn and Linc were admirable characters with goals, plans and a strong devotion to family. I enjoyed reading about the struggles these two faced and how each step of the way was a challenge for them, but in the end, they fought for what was really important, one another.
I think the quality of this book is great. It provides a glimpse into a clean and innocent love like the kind you really don't see anymore. In my case, it gave me a sense of nostalgia of an era long gone even though it is set in present times. This is the story of Linc and Wyn. It is a story of the kind of love one wishes to find. It is a story of two different cultures impacting each other. It is a story worth reading. I don't have many negative things to say, just that I do wish that there was more of a cultural influence on Wyn's side of the story. Meaning more information about the Romani/Gypsy Culture Wyn is coming from. I think it is interesting when insights into different cultures are given in a book Not that she did not include them in the story, I just feel that a little more was needed. I think it was a nice contrast to include Linc's very American family scenario with that of Wyn's deeply ingrained rich culture. I felt I could relate to the cultural significance and duty bound aspects of being born in America while your parents and culture differ from the "norm". The ending of the story, not the epilogue, ends as it should. It is a happy ending overall, but with the right amount of discontent to make it believable. I would recommend this book to those who like love stories. Who are ok with a happily ever after ending. It is not a cheesy read like some romance novels because it provides an in depth look at both characters. In alternating chapters between Linc and Wyn as readers we are able to see both sides of the picture for the complete story. Given as a free book to review by the author on Goodreads I give it two thumbs up.

AWWWWWWWWW! This book is so sweet. A girl stuck between what's expected and what she really wants for herself. And a boy sees what he wants and will try desperately to make it his.
How can you not love it right?
This book is about a gypsy family that is very traditional and their daughter who is trying to fit the mold that is expected. And as much as she tries her true self constantly wants to break free. I feel bad for Wyn in this story. She obviously was put between a rock and a hard place without a solution in sight. Yet she was still able to show her fun loving, intelligent, ambitious self through all the stresses that came with her life.
Then the adorable Linc. If only in real life 17 year old boys were like him. I think he was made for every girls teenage fantasy. Not that their is anything wrong with that. Girls love their boys to be romantic and dream up all kinds of wonderfully fabulous adventures these fantasy boys will take them on. *sigh* If only girls, if only.
This book is a fun quick read with all sorts of Awww! Moments. Even though I like my reads to have a more realistic view on circumstances it's still fun to read a book that makes you all mushy inside.
I really liked this book, the concept and setting was really different and I admired that. This story was set in something we all find interesting is the gypsy culture.
Now I personally found it aggravating with Wyns brothers but I wanted to know why he hated her so much, it focused too much on her and lincs relationship but I could stand to read more of the father and mothers treatment.
I would of also like to have seen more gypsy stuff like the crazy parties, traditions. Other than the fact that she has a soon to be husband that's possessive and her bff that was pregnant.
She didn't swear and that's fine.
Linc all he did was obsess over her. She was out doing stuff why couldn't he? It made him look weak to me.
But for the most part the last parts of the book seemed rushed the graduation. I would have loved to read about the wedding, Linc getting deployed, Wyn in school.
The authors writing is really great! Gets 4 stars but overall there is great potential here.
There is loose ends, I would have like to know what happened to Shay.
I was excited to read this story. About a girl in a crazy family, that has almost unmoral values. But when you grow up in a culture, it's what you know, the only future you see. Wyn wants more. She wants to break away, become something more than just a house wife.
When I began to read, I honestly didn't want to finish the book. the first 50 pages could have been written by a different person than the rest of the book. I couldn't handle the dialog. The "oh, golly, gee, wiz." Kind of talk, as if we were in grade school.
But after Linc and Wyn become more than either of them ever thought possible and risking everything for love. I have to say I enjoyed the last bit of the story. And that is what really saved it from getting less stars.
I love this book ! There are no other words for it from the uncommon names to the story line it was simply amazing. I fell in love with Linc and I Rooted for him and Wyn at the same time hoping he would ditch her and run away with me. But I loved learning about Wyn's crazy life and I secretly liked her even tho I didn't really want too. And oh my gosh Nate and dani love them and their personality. Amazing job on telling a story and bring me into the book. I felt like I was right there along for the ride .
Dang....Promised is such a great read. I was able to finish it in one night and I wish I had taken my time with it beacuse I am in need of the next install.
Promised is the first book I have read that pertains to the Romani or Gypsies. I really enjoyed how I was able to picture the everything in my mind from the sprinkle cupcakes to the ginormous wedding dress.
Michelle did an outstanding job keeping the story lively and entertaining. I can not wait to read Nates' story. Will he fall for a gypsy as well? Please Michelle, don't leave me hanging too long =)
When I started reading this book, I thought I won't like it. But i guess wrong. This book teach you a lesson. Follow what you want to do. Never give up. Sometime is may be hard, but always tell yourself that you can do it. No matter what.
It will always work out at the end. I love how this book teach you it. I think you might love. I spend all day read this book, when you start this book, you can't stop. Remember that things happen for a reason.
I hate the instalove! There are rare cases when it works. Here it was like " he saw her they spoke once, they texted once, next time he sees her, he acts like she is the love of his life" that is DNF to me.
I loved the characters LInc and Wyn and their story that the author gave them. The gypsy ways are very different from the outside world. I liked the reference to TLC too. I very much enjoyed reading this book. Thanks for a great couple of days reading your book.
I cried reading this book... This is a perfect book for someone to read that are having problems it will help give them courage to make the right decisions for their own happiness I know it did for me.
