Let me start by saying I am not usually a fan of historical romance. But, one of the main reasons is that most historicals go too far back in history for my tastes.

Love and War is a compilation of three novellas. Simone, Rescued and Angel in Green.

Simone and Rescued both take place during World War Two. Simone offers a second chance at love story.

Simone and Brian were young lovers. But, family obligations separated them. Now, of all thing, war brings them back together. I thought it was a great twist that the war is what reunites them, rather than pulling them apart.

Rescued highlights a nurse/patient love affair. Maybe cliched, but it happens, that's why it becomes cliched. I loved the humor in rescued, the play of the "two lieutenant Henry's" and the camaraderie between them and their friends.

Angel in Green was my favorite of the stories. A combination of China Beach and Mash. A spunky, irreverent heroine, practical jokes and highjinks, combined with action suspense and sensuality.

All three of these novellas packed great suspense, and eroticism. I highly recommend this wonderful reading experience.
