Brian McKinley blends supernatural intrigue with action and tough moral choices, pulling readers straight into Alia’s struggle with power and identity. The Las Vegas setting adds grit and atmosphere, while the clash with vampire mobsters raises the stakes. At its core, this short story asks the timeless question: who are the real monsters? Fast-paced, thought-provoking, and a great addition to the series.
