Barn Swallows is a really warm and captivating farm story! Carolyn j Morris must have grown up on a farm the way she is able to describe farm life with love and compassion. Gus is now my favourite character and I enjoy the relationship between her and Billy. Another great one!

This delightful book follows Billy at his grandparents farm where he meets a tomboy friend Gus. It realistically shows friendship and competition between a rural and town child. You get insight into their inner feelings on family relationships.

I think Barn Swallows was my favourite of the four books. How can you not fall in love with Gus? She's not afraid of anything! I'm a city girl, but I definitely want Gus to be my friend on the farm. My favourite!
