Waking up fur covered and fanged isn't the easiest thing for a girl to deal with. Unfortunately, for Roxanne Delaney, that is her new reality. The only upside is finding herself the bondmate to one hot and sexy werewolf, Nathan Hayes. The downside; learning to adapt to a primal element that craves the rending of flesh and the oh-so-sweet taste of blood. Will this shy waitress-turned-wolf rise to the challenges of this new life—one that is now littered with otherworldly creatures hell-bent on destroying her and the people she cares for? Or will the pressures of a new-found love and difficult battles prove too much for Roxanne to handle?
What do you get when you mix together werewolves, a dragon, a few water nymphs, vampires and hybrids? You get Roxanne Desired by Gena D. Lutz and I dare you to try to set it down after a page of two. It won't happen!
You, like myself, will get caught up in the struggle of Roxanne to understand and come to terms with what/who she really is and then feel the desire, lust and yes love that almost overwhelms her now that she has bonded with her mate.
Their lives and that of their whole pack and species is threatened and will she be strong enough to stop the evil one that is behind it all? Will she show what she really is and throw off her past life to defend those who are now her pack, her life, her very reason for living?
Can she possibly go up against such horrors and evil and push through it all stop to those that want only to kill all who have special powers caring nothing for the death and destruction they will leave in their wake?
The answers await you in Roxanne Desired - a true five star adventure into the world of fantasy that leaves you breathless!

**Review**
After reading Ember’s Curse I was looking eagerly forward to Roxanne Desired. I just had to know what would happen between Roxanne and Nathan. How would she deal with being a werewolf? What other powers would she gain from the transformation? How would Nathan handle it? With his innate desire to protect her would he let her grow and flourish, or would he end up inadvertently causing more problems? What about the Darkans and the nymphs? The evil vampire and his cronies who escaped in Ember’s Curse? (For those of you who haven’t read Ember’s Curse I apologize for the spoiler and say go read it, you will not be disappointed).
What do you get when you mix together werewolves, a dragon, a few water nymphs, some vampires and vampire/werewolf hybrids? You get Roxanne Desired by Gena D. Lutz. An whirlwind paranormal romance that will leave you breathless.
You will ask yourself how can Roxanne go up against a stalker, evil vampires and other horrific creatures? Creatures who all have special powers of their own? How can she handle all the changes coming at her from her recent change? These answers and much, much more await you in Roxanne Desired.
Learn more about the nymphs; meet a completely new character and learn about him, a bit about his species, his motivations and just a minute portion of what he can do. You may think “Oh my! So much happening all at once!” but Ms. Lutz pulls it all together in such a way that if flows naturally and does not overwhelm. The worst part of the book is the last page, because you know you now have to wait for the next installment of this series. - See more at: http://paranormalromancejunkies.blogs...
Book: Roxanne Desired ( Prime Wolf #2) Author: Gena D. Lutz Publication Date: 6/27/2013 Reviewed by: Tammy Payne Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 5 Stars
REVIEW I knew I was just going to love this book as the first one blew me away. In this book we have Roxanne Delaney who in the first book worked at the diner coffee shop where Ember and Nathan often went because Nathan has had a thing for Roxanne for as long as he can remember. Of course Roxanne never gave him a chance. In this book we find out why that is. Roxanne has been changed into a Prime Wolf by Ember because the horrible Tyson basically killed her in the first book and Ember couldn’t stand for her best friend Nate to go through life without Roxanne. Roxanne is having trouble accepting what she is and everything about her new world. She goes off for some time to herself. She is well aware that Nathan is her life mate now and deep down she is glad because she has always wanted him she however needs time. In this book we are still battling the evil and also Tyson. The Author brings a few more kinds of paranormal beings into this book One of which caused me to smile so big because I love dragon shifters and in this book we have one. And oh is he forever funny. We also find out about the biggest issue Roxanne faced and what kept her from dating Nate from the beginning. Many things go wrong and a lot of fighting against evil pursues in this book.
Pickup your copy you wont be disappointed I am now hooked and will be a forever fan of Author Gena D. Lutz and I do hope the next installment is out soon .
I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review. Roxanne Desired is the second installment in Gena D. Life's Prime Wolf series. I fell in love with Collin and Ember in Ember's Curse the first book in this series. Roxanne and Nathan's story didn't disappoint either. When Roxanne was seconds away from dying, Ember turned her into a hybrid like herself. Waking up a hybrid had her mind reeling, but not only that Nathan and Roxanne's wolves recognized each other as mates. Throughout this story they will have to come to terms with the facts of their lives. It was great to see some of the original characters that made you fall in love with this series. We continue to see Lutz's uniqueness as she introduces us to even more unique characters and adds more to the paranormal world. Her characters seem to jump right off the pages and hook you into the story. In this book you will meet a few new characters that will intrigue you in to finding out what will happen next. Roxanne Desired is filled with suspense, love, drama, action, and so much more. This was a great second installment to the series. I can't wait to see what will happen next for these characters. Definitely a must read.
This book didn't disappoint in the least. I absolutely adore this series and you can tell the author is growing in her writing skills. Very easy to follow and flows great off of the first book. I will say that if you haven't read the first book that you should before reading this so that you know whats going on. I would recommend to anyone that likes Paranormal/Romance books. I certainly look forward to reading many more books in the future from this awesome author.

I was given this book by author Gena Lutz for an honest review. This is book 2 of the Prime Wolf book series.
Nathan has had a crush on Roxanne since he first laid eyes on her at the coffee shop. Roxanne is not going to put her heart on the line again for no man, not even Nathan even if she thinks that he is sexy as all get out. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she is almost dead but she is brought back from deaths door by her sire Ember and not she has to deal with her new life and her soulmate Nathan.
I loved how this book had romance, drama, action from werewolves, vampires,a nymph, a dragon and infected zombie werewolves. All the characters worked great together in the story line and the story flow was great.
I could not find any thing that I didn't like about this book.
This book would be a great addition to any paranormal romance readers library but I do have to say that this is for the mature reader because of the sexual content in this book. If you have not read the first Prime Wolf book please read it first because this book starts where book 1 left off.
Gena delivers again. With the combo of vamp's and wolf's I get both in a great story. This book picks up with newly turned Roxanne questioning everything that she just found out to be true about the supernatural world. At first it looks like she might reject her new life but a situation makes her rethink what she is and what her new life is about now. I cant wait for the other book to come out.
Loved it, it was slow in the beginning but I think that was me not the book. I am a fan of Gena D Lutz and the Primewolf series and can't wait for the next instalment.
after turn wolf she finds herself scared. only to find she needs her pack and mate to be safe. so she man's up and finds she can be strong enough for anything.
Action packed thrills keep readers on the edge of their seat in the second battle with the evil Tyson. Roxanne is bound the sexy wolf Nathan, that she’s okay with but being a wolf-vampire hybrid is taking some getting used to, too bad she has to get over it because the bad guys have sent otherworldly creatures hell bent on their destruction.
Ember and Collin’s pack just can’t catch a break as this fast paced and smooth flowing story continues their war against the evil Tyson and his minions who are determined to bring pure evil into their world. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and details which inspire vivid images that capture the imagination and the well orchestrated action scenes are exciting and believable. The strong compelling characters are easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.
The chemistry between Nathan and Roxanne burns up the pages and the sex scenes explode in a fiery inferno of passion, the relationship however is under a little stress with rabid wolves attacking at every opportunity, not to mention jealous she wolves who want Nathan for themselves. The reader can’t help but empathize with Roxanne as she tries to deal with everything that is happening to her and new found abilities that add a little stress to the situation as well.
The characters from the previous book continue to captivate the reader and some new characters are added to the group as well. There is lots of action and suspense to keep the reader’s on their toes as well as some twists and turns to keep them guessing. I found the story to be exciting and entertaining and there was never a dull moment and I can’t wait to read the next book in this fascinating world. I do recommend that this series by read in order because to better understand and get the full impact of the evil this group of wolves are up against.
I was looking forward to getting more of the prime wolves.
It was fun getting to watch the relationship grow between Roxanne and Nathan. Then when we are learning about her trying to understand and take in everything that is going on. We get to meet a few new people and 'things'. I can honestly say that I never really thought I would enjoy a book series that has so many different mythical creatures.
I know that there are not a lot of authors that can pull it off and she does it well.
I am looking forward to getting to the next book. I can't wait to find out what is going to happen next. I love a good paranormal read.
The only thing that I did miss was Harper. I know this wasn't her book and she wasn't close to Roxanne but I did miss her smart mouth! I can't wait to get more that is for sure. I want to know more about a few things, there is Harek and then I want to know more about Declan! I really like him even though we don't get a lot of him in either book but that little bit we get leaves me wanting to know more about him.
If you are looking for a read that has a good mix of paranormal and leaves you wanting more. This is a good read. There is hotness mixed in with some good paranormal.
When reading I always look for something that pulls me into the book, when I read I don't feel as though I am reading, it's like I am there watching it all happen in front of me. This is one of those books. I do enjoy the action. I think that is what I love most about paranormal reads. The mythical creatures along with some hot scenes as well as action and suspense!
OH. EM. GEE. Gena D. Lutz does it again! Book one of the Prime Wolf series, Ember's Curse, was FANTASTIC! I was happily surprised by the author's unique and entertaining voice that she so easily weaves into her stories and characters. Roxanne's story was just as good! I didn't know if I would like Roxy much at first. She's got a bit of an attitude. I quickly realized, however, that she reminds me of myself when I'm really have a stubborn Ginger moment. Don't help me, don't touch me, don't talk to me, don't look at me. I WILL RIP YOUR FACE OFF. In Roxy's situation, that really was a possibility.
Despite her attitude and stubborn streak, there's a love soul deep in her that she has a hard time coping with at first. When something so unfamiliar is thrown your way, I think we all struggle with it, even if it IS a good thing. On top of it all, LOVE in and of itself is a complicated matter. I felt very connected to Roxy.
This story is a fantastic continuance from Ember's tale. More lovely drama to set your heart a'racing, passion to make your naughty bits tingle, and companionship to envy and adore. I laughed, I cried, I cursed, I sighed. Yes, Gena is a genius. End of story. You'll eat this one up faster than you can say Salty Caramel Nut ice cream. Crap, now I'm hungry. Go! Buy! Read!
PS – Curse you, Gena, for making me wait for ANOTHER book! Love you!
I loved the first book-Ember's Curse and I loved this 2nd book, Roxanne Desired even more. This is Roxanne's and Nathan's story who are each others mates and what a story it is. They are fantastic together and loved how their characters evolved. Roxanne was sired by Ember (from book 1) so she is a special white wolf. She was a human but was changed by Ember and it took Roxanne a little while to get used to not being a human anymore and accept what she is.
Still have the evil Tyson to be dealt with and his evil machinations with his captive werewolves. Have so many characters from book 1 (Ember's Curse), which rounded out this story so nicely. Had zombie wolves, witches, Ariel the Princess Nymph and last but not least Harek-a dragon!
Was so engrossed in this story, hated for it to end and it kept you on the edge of your seat!! Has hot, steamy sex, plenty of action, twists and turns and had some humor too. I'm hoping there will be more books in this series (hint, hint!) I definitely highly recommend this book. What a story she weaves!!
This was a gifted copy from the author for an honest review.
Again another hit by Gena D. Lutz. I am totally sucked into this story now and I am dying to see where it goes. This time the story was wrapped around Nathan and Roxanne and while there could have been a touch more info on them (I found that between Ember's Curse and this one it went from Ember saving Roxanne to Roxanne and Nathan being mates which was a tad confusing) this is one of the best written books I have read in a long time. I love the addition of the "dragon" and found myself laughing quite a bit even with the seriousness of the book. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Another Epic read by Gena D. Lutz. This book is about Roxanne who goes from human to a werewolf-vampire breed over night. She most come to terms with the changes she is going through. She has to do this while finding her mate and helping Ember fight the gatherers. This book is a very powerful story, it makes you feel for the characters. Gena uses humor, love, compassion, and real emotions to tell her stories. I recommend you start with Ember's Curse but this book could and does stand on its own but it does help to know some things about the characters.
This book was a wonderful read and leaves you waiting to see what will happen next. I love how Gena is able to mix all the different creatures together in a way that no one seems to be left out or understated. I love learning more about Roxanne and what transpired after she "woke up" from the first book. I would have liked to know more about the Prime wolves but this book is a wnderful follow up to the first and I can not wait for there to be another.
This was such a fantastic slide into the next story. Can't wait for it to come out. Again another very strong female, Roxanne, who was a human that was transformed into a hybrid like her sire Ember. She shows herself and others how strong and adaptable she is to her new life. But now a war has been declared and there is more to come. Can't wait for the next installment! A must read.
Roxanne Desired continues the story from Ember's Curse. I like how it just picked right up and continued us on the journey from the first book. I am really looking forward to more in this series now.
This continues a week after Ember’s Curse finishes. Despite that however, Dane has managed to age 2 years! Aside from that obvious error, I also have to question the likelihood of the pack beta being used as a live in nanny rather than having an omega wolf babysit Dane. We are also introduced to a dragon shifter and zombie wolves that have been created by the dreaded Tyson who has a new partner in crime.
A week after being changed, Roxanne takes off by herself to get accustomed to her new life as a hybrid. She hits the road with plans to return to the childhood home she fled from years before. Whilst driving on a desolate road, she is deliberately rear ended by her arch enemy David who has been stalking her for the past two years. David isn’t happy that he hasn’t been able to find her for the last week or so and in an attempt to protect herself, Roxanne accidentally changes David into a werewolf. Aside from the fact that Roxanne is considered to be a new born who shouldn’t be siring wolves of her own, there is also the fact that as a human, David is sociopath and he now has the enhanced strengths of a werewolf. His sociopathic tendencies become clear after he not only kills the first human he comes across after being changed but literally rips him apart! After calling Ember for advice, Roxanne and David start the return journey back to Adelphi territory and meet up with Nathan on the way. Back home, David is taken to the cells whilst Nathan and Roxanne return to his house to rest up. A surprise visit from the water nymph, Princess Ariel, turns those plans upside down when she becomes drawn to a decorative egg in Nathan’s house. As Roxanne and Nathan look on in stunned surprise, Ariel starts singing and dancing to the egg. After a blinding flash of light, a seven foot dragon shifter appears. His name is Harek, his true love is Moira who is still trapped inside a decorative egg and he has definitely lit Ariel’s fire! Ariel also tells them about the zombie wolves that Tyson has created from the wolves he abducted from different packs to make up for the wolves that Ember and Collin released from Ash Island.
Returning to the Adelphi pack house to update Ember and Collin of Ariel’s news, Roxanne discovers that Paige, the Alpha from the Greyson pack, has designs on Nathan and unwittingly issues a challenge to her. Before the challenge can take place however, they discover where the abducted wolves are being held and a rescue mission is launched by the Prime pack, the Adelphi warriors and the Greyson pack. During the battle, they discover how useful it is to have a dragon shifter on their side and Roxanne changes her allegiance! Tyson’s secret laboratory is discovered and they are also able to free some of Paige’s wolves that were abducted. The water witch that helped create the zombie wolves is dead, Tyson and Sylvia have been captured and all the zombie wolves have been put down so you’d think that all’s well that ends well. Not so….. Just when you think there’s a happy-ish ending and they’re all in the war room for a de-brief, they discover that not only do they have a traitor in their midst but an important member of the Prime pack is missing. If that’s not bad enough, they also discover that Tyson and the sociopathic David have escaped.
Although these books are considered to be a paranormal romantic suspense, the romance is missing somewhat. Yes there are two characters that fall deeply in love, but the suspense element outstrips the romantic element by far and this book has several storylines running alongside each other. If you’re a sucker for romance, I would say that these books are not for you as there is no angst or developing love. But if you enjoy paranormal suspense stories, then you’ll enjoy these books as you just don’t know where the next twist or turn will come from. Having said that, I believe the next love interests will be Milo and Sadie, although I’m not sure where that will leave Mojo!
AND WOW DID SHE DELIVER!! WOW!!! What a great story!! I always love reading a series where the characters all appear throughout the books because it lets me feel like I am catching up with friends I haven’t seen for a while! That is exactly how this book is! Ember & company are all involved in this one, even though the focus is on Roxanne & Nathan and WOW! Do they EVER get a story! As much as I enjoyed Ember’s Curse, this one – dare I say – I almost, not quite, but almost liked this one more because it expands on a lot of the things that are touched on or hinted at in book 1. I love the cool & unique talents or abilities that everyone has. Especially Roxy’s powers! I can’t help but love just how unique or one-of-a-kind this story is! I mean there is a whole lotta wolf & vampire books out there but I have NEVER read ones like these! The fact that this is the second book in the series, usually they follow a pattern, they are romance books after all! But the only pattern that these follow is their own! This book is not like Ember’s because it starts off with Roxy & Nathan already mated and goes from there. Almost like it left off right where the first book ended, now from a different set of characters. So it is NOT your “typical” boy meets girl…and they live happily ever after. All of this adds to the charm though! I am loving books like these! Your Happily Ever After starts so early in the story so you can now focus on everything else – like the terrific main storyline, the side stories & problems or mysteries that arise without having to worry about if or when, the couple will finally get together and will they STAY together. Not saying that you won’t see those happening here, but…well, you will just have to wait until you read it for yourself and then you will understand what I am meaning. Of course, since this is a Gena D. Lutz book, you know that you are in for one helluva an awesome adventure & a book worth reading over & over & over! I said it before, and it is worth saying again, so I will! Gena D. Lutz is one extremely talented author that has this extraordinary gift that she proves with every story of hers that I read! I am addicted to Gena and WANT MORE!!! I promise that you will not be disappointed in any way…other than when those 2 little words that any avid reader hates to see appear – THE END – that was my only disappointment! And really, all good things do have to come to an end, right? However, the end of the series is NOT in sight, so those disappointed feelings are eased…for now. :) Enjoy!!
Wow!! Awesome book very addictive. Prime Wolves an Amazing series and throughly addictive, a story full of Action and intrigue a few steamy moments that leave a reader wanting more. Roxanne Desired began where Ember's Curse ended, another great storyline that was a fast paced easy read, that flowed really well. The Author has an ability to create a paranormal world that you get sucked into..
If you love the Paranormal Romance Genre then I highly recommend The Prime Wolves Series! Start with book #1 Ember's Curse so you can enjoy the adventure from the beginning..
I absolutely love everything from this author and can wait to find out what happens next with the Prime Wolves.
Loved how Gena spins her story with strong women. Fell easy into her world she created. Very well-written story with lots of kick butt action. Love the direction this series is heading.
