In Forcing Gravity Logan Kessler fell for Jason “Jase” Brady, one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood, and dating Jase was one of the best decisions she’s ever made in spite of all the pitfalls that come with dating someone famous. Jase is sweet, loving and incredibly down-to-earth. But their relationship will face its first big test when Jase goes on location to film a new movie with his ex-girlfriend, Chloe St. James, playing opposite him. As if being apart isn’t bad enough, new concerns arise when Chloe makes it known that she wants Jase back, and Logan is afraid she won’t stop until she gets him.
Ethan Lewis is in love with his best friend, Logan Kessler, but she has nothing but platonic feelings for him. Instead of continuing to pine away after what he can’t have, he decides to see if he can focus his attention elsewhere. That’s when he meets Nora Brady, Jase Brady’s sister, who is unlike any girl he’s ever met before. But Nora knows about his feelings for Logan, so she’s hesitant to date Ethan for fear of getting hurt. Maybe they can just be friends. But as Nora and Ethan grow closer, they start to realize that they just might be right for each other, even though Ethan knows that deep down that if given the chance, he’d be with Logan in a heartbeat.
With precarious relationships on the line, vengeful exes to look out for and the paparazzi lying in wait to record it all, Gravity Happens, is a story of friendship, love, betrayal and knowing who you can trust in a world where everywhere you look, there’s someone who wants to take what you have for themselves.
Monica Alexander is a writer of contemporary, new adult, and young adult fiction. In 2011, she turned her lifelong love of reading and books into a career when she published her first novel, “Just Watch the Fireworks”. When she's not reading and writing, you can find her at the beach, in the mountains, or hiking through a city, soaking all the beauty of the world around her and turning her experiences into inspiration for her next book.
It's cool that Ethan got his happily ever after, but I was much more interested with Jase and Logan. And their story... was intense. So much shit happened! And it was very angsty, and to me, it seemed way better written than the last book. Highly recommend.
OK....so it's no secret that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Monica Alexander. Her books never disappoint me.
Forcing Gravity is not my favorite series of hers, but Jase Brady is right behind Zack Easton and Kellan Kyle in my all time favorite book boyfriends. He's sweet, he's attentive, he's sexy as hell, and he's real. And in this book we find out just deeply he loves and feels. There were so many points in this book when I wanted to crawl inside and hug him and tell him it would be okay.
Logan has matured a little since FG, and I was impressed by her ability to slough off some of the harsher publicity regarding Jase and his ex...after all, she is in her first real relationship and she's only 18. IMO, trust is the most important aspect of relationship and she and Jase built a strong foundation of trust...until it all came crashing down around them.
My heart hurt for Logan and Jase...and I felt almost as ripped apart as I did reading Thoughtless. The ups and downs and back and forth just had me so torn up, but I totally got both sides of this heartbreak. I felt both of them so much and the pain they were going through.
The Ethan storyline was secondary to me because I really just wanted to read about Logan/Jase, but Ms. Alexander did a great job of incorporating the stories and meshing them together. It showed Ethan's true feelings for Logan and how he eventually realized it wasn't quite what he thought it was. I was happy to see Ethan find himself in a serious relationship and with a really good person.
All in all, I loved this book. I've re-read some of the more heartbreaking scenes a couple of times and the dialogue just gets me. I hope to maybe catch another glimpse of Jase/Logan in another of Ms. Alexander's books. :)
This is a good book. This is the sequel to Forcing Gravity and it has the dual POV of Logan and Ethan. Logan and Jase are still together and Ethan still thinks he is in love with Logan. Ethan starts dating Jase's sister Nora in this book. Jase starts a movie that has Chloe, his ex-girlfriend, playing his romantic interest. There are people that manipulate, lie, and cheat to try to get what they want. This is especially true in Hollywood. Monica Alexander writes good books and I look forward to reading more in the future.
I really enjoyed this book, especially seeing where Ethan's head was at in it. There were a few grammatical and spelling errors that annoyed me, and as a proud Australian, it frustrated me to read Tasmania spelt as Tazmania. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the continuation of Zack and Emily's story in the Broken Fairytales trilogy.
Love a happy ending!! Of course it didn't come easy, not without fight for what you really want..... This had me laughing and then leaving me shocked! And then rooting for the women scorned!! Really enjoyed this story thanks for sharing Monica:)
Falling in love with a famous guy, and then finding out that you're best friend is also in love with you.. LOVE IT! I'm glad that Ethan finds someone for himself, and i absolutely loved the Vegas chapters, sooo funny! I do love an all round happy ending! Read Read Read!
Once again Monica Alexander out does herself. Loved Logan and Jase, loved this book and love everything she writes. Keep the stories coming Monica!!!! :)
Soooooo, I kinda love Monica Alexander. And while I was sad for a large portion of this book I really loved how it all wrapped up. Can't wait to read more from her.
I really only read this book for Logan and Jase. I mean I’m glad Ethan got his HEA but I wasn’t as interested in his story. Logan and Jase’s relationship this book really stressed me out. But I’m so glad they got their HEA in the end. Great book!
I'm afraid I have the same problem with this book as I had with the first...the handling of sexual crimes.
SPOILER....... Midway through the story Logan apparently catches Jase being unfaithful with his ex and dumps him... The scene seemed a little off but okay I could go with it! We find out much much later in the story that apparently said ex-girlfriend administered a date rape drug to him and attempted to rape him! However she gave him too much and he passed out so nothing sexual occurred. Okay, once again I can go along with this Logan and two other female characters who hear this confession from the ex at least point out that she could have killed him, so so far so good! It's the next bit that gets me. When Logan sees Jase his focus is on the fact that yay, he didn't cheat, and the he says something along the lines of... He's livid she did it and when the work together on their next three movies he won't give her the opportunity to do that to him again!!! HELLO!!! The woman tried to rape you and could have killed you! Okay, so it was months previous to reporting her to the police might have been impossible, plus the public scrutiny horrendous, but surely a restraining order and possibly informing TPTB on the film set and her agent maybe and having her written out of the films (and you know blacklisted from Hollywood! I can dream!) wouldn't have been out of the realms of possibility! But instead (as in the last book) it's used purely as a plot device and swept under the carpet immediately afterward without another word being written on the subject. As in the last book there are absolutely no consequences for the perpetrator and they are left free to do the same thing again to someone else! Frustrating and annoying.
The rest of the book was okay, prior to the big break up between the h and H, I was really enjoying it in fact. But then we seem to have to wait about 1/2 the book for things to be resolved whilst the H and h and all the other characters mope and generally annoy! I enjoyed the romance between Ethan and Nora, but though the sudden resurgence and then squelching of his feelings for Logan was rather clumsily handled!
Overall not as good as the first book, but if not for the handling of the date rape I probably would have given it 3 1/2* but as it is I can only justify 2*'. Very frustrating and disappointing!

I just can't believe a girl like Nora would exist. I mean seriously, she's such a doormat. She doesn't have any pride and chased after Ethan. And I'm not convinced Ethan is over Logan just like that. Like a switch was turned off. Not convincing.
And I just can't believe how the "cheating incident" got resolved!!! Seriously Ellie? You waiting until you chanced upon Chloe in a bathroom stall to confront her? How long have you had those info? Why didn't you tell Logan right away and waited for that moment? It's so stupid!!! And for Chloe to just fess up so easily? There weren't that much evidence and she could still get away with it! Ugh. It's just stupid and shallow.
It would have been better if they had actual evidence like a CCTV footage or something. Just something that would be strong evidence against Chloe. It was just stupid that it ended with "he said, she said".

By far one of the most frustrating book I have ever read. Logan and Ethan were my least favorite characters in the first book, and of course the 2nd book should be told in their alternating POVs. I would have thought that they would have matured by this book, but it seems both have reverted. I found them both to be extremely self-centered and hypocritical that I caught myself hoping their respective love interests would move on and find other more deserving people. It was a struggle trying to finish this book.
"Gravity Happens" is the sequel to "Forcing Gravity" and it exceeded my expectations. The first book is just like any celebrity romance reads, full of cliches and romantic scenarios. But here in the second book, it's funnier, more dramatic, and more engaging. Though Logan did stupid actions here too, I saw her character development. "Jase" is charming and interesting as always. Ethan's chapters and love life are also a plus. Throughout the book the giddiness and drama are strongly present. The ending is just and satisfying for me.
This novel will be one for the come back and read again shelf. Although the only issue with the book was having a bipolar change in feelings toward the last leg of the book. I will never forget the amazing feelings and thoughtfulness the Jase showed Logan unconditionally. If only we all had him in our lives. If the author would have had another book it would have been nice to see how Logan's life changed after Sasha having the baby and the new marriage. Maybe even a flash forward including a Jace and Logan wedding? Overall nice read and conclusion to the series.
I really liked the continuation of Logan and Jace's story and the story of Nora and Ethan. MILD SPOILER ALERT! I commend the author for her handling of infidelity. Nothing irritates me more than a story where the hero or heroine forgives and/or forgets cheating like it is no big deal. The handling of this subject matter was very true to the characters and while some may think it was frustrating, I really liked that the character stuck to their beliefs.
I enjoyed this second book in the series but felt like a lot of the events that happened were shortened too much, like it was in a rush. All of the time jumping made me a bit confused and left me wishing that some of the events were expanded into more detail so relationships and emotions could have been explored more. I do like the book and how it ended but wish there was more to the events that happen than what we were given.
Sadly this book didn't do much for me. I ended up skimming most of it after 100 pages. I found the storyline a little frustrating and I guess the age of the characters impacted on my opinion. I enjoyed book one, but this book lost my attention very quickly. Maybe because of my age, I had problem with the book and I need to avoid young/new adult books in the future.
DNF 50% Even though I really liked Forcing Gravity, I never managed to like this one. I just don't like Ethan, and his relationship with Nora somehow don't feel "real" to me. I found the book very close to boring.
It's a really easy going book...of course in a Hollywood drama way. I absolutely love that Logan sticks to her guns and dang Jase sometimes it's hard to believe they can make this stuff up. Now Ethan is totally stuck on himself adorable!
I loved the book. I would like for there to be a third book. The only problem I had with the book was the switching back of POV's. The book did not flow as smoothly as the first book.
