This series is great! Cute Seuss type illustrations.
I consider myself an animal-near-expert but I did
not know that a group of cats is called a clowder,
or that a group of kittens is called a kindle!
Recommended for children and adults.

Love it!

My grandson was stoked to get this book, especially because he knew I loved cats, and he wanted to share it with me. There's so much to appreciate about that. I am moved by his love for me, literature, and cats!

When we read it together, it was such a special moment and created a delightful memory. The story is educational, yet fun. Written in a rhyming prose, it enchants the reader, keeping one engaged. The layout also keeps ones attention, with great illustrations and original displays.

I feel the text of this book leans more towards the older end of kids (middle grade - ages 6-14), though the illustrations will tantalize even the younger readers. I think for the less mature audience, it will be about the experience shared with the adult(s) reading with them and how they help to bring the story alive for them. Though this is a beautiful book and has everything a children's title ought to, it is still a learning tool that toddlers will lose interest in, focusing instead on the images and presenter.

As an adult, I really enjoyed this book. I learned from it in an entertaining way, despite my vast knowledge of felines. It was lovely and something I will treasure thanks to my grandson!

What Cat is That? All About CATS by Tish Rabe introduces children to the wonderful world of cats. With the Cat in the Hat as their guide, a little boy and girl set off on a journey around the world in a Kitty-Cat-Copter. They meet lions in Kenya, tigers in Bangkok and so much more. Along the way, the children learn numerous facts about cats.

I absolutely loved this book! The illustrations by Aristides Ruiz and Joe Mathieu pay homage to the great Dr. Seuss and are simply adorable. I also found the facts in the book to be quite interesting. I never knew that there is a breed of cat that actually likes to swim! Or that a group of kittens is called a kindle.

I would highly recommend this book to readers and cat lovers of all ages. Readers will delight in the whimsical illustrations and will walk away with an increased knowledge in all things cat. There is even a glossary in the back of the book as well as a For Further Reading section which suggests other books about cats that readers might enjoy. Check it out right meow!

Excellent children's books with superb illustrations. The story explains in a cute easy to understand manner the how and why of cat bodies...the ear differences, eye differences, claws, tongues and so on. My just turned 6 year old couldn't get enough of it though I think any one from age 4 up would enjoy it. I'm a grand mother and learned something and we laughed about the cute pictures together.

This book was really cute. My 2-year old lost interest after a while, because this book is a little long for her age, but I still really liked it.

This book explains all different kinds of cats, and has pictures. The pictures are good, and it’s very good information for older kids.

I even learned stuff I didn’t know, so it’s fun for parents to read, too. I definitely recommend!

This title is one of “the Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library”. This nonfiction book introduces young readers to cats of all kinds, wild and domesticated. With rhyming text, it describes characteristics of cats: their habitats, physical traits and behaviors. Seuss-like illustrations capture cats in action, at play and interacting with each other. Back matter includes a glossary, bibliography and index. This book should appeal to Seuss fans and emerging readers. It is packed with loads of information in a peppy format. Order if needed.
