Beautiful story of the love between a prince and his princess through political turmoil and his ultimate taking of the crown from his father to become emperor and empress. The last 25% of the book is dedicated to his grief and loss which fueled his building of the Taj Mahal. Excellent story.

Book was wordy and spent much time describing things/ clothing/jewelry and not enough developing characters. Nice love story... could have been shorter for the content though.
