Interestingly, John Tighe has linked some videos (Power Point type presentations)to his book and he has a very nice and clear British voice that is easy to listen too. Denniger

Fantastic and Informative

Tighe has done an excellent job with giving tidbits and step-by-step plans.

Somehow he was able to write 10 chapters of how to market your Kindle books without sounding tedious of monotonous. I greatly appreciated that.

Being a one year old newbie to the Kindle author world, I have read several works on publishing and marketing in this new internet-age we live in so some of the topics John discussed were already known. But, they definitely helped refresh and remind--it's hard to keep track of everything, you know.

Meanwhile, he also added a few other interesting tidbits I didn't know.

I recommend this work to any Kindle author newbie!

This is perhaps the only one of these Kindle publishing books I've read that talks about fully utilizing Amazon's system without seeming like it's trying to game the system to prop up sub-par material. John Tighe wants you to write quality books, he just wants them to have a chance at finding an audience, which I can appreciate.

I think some of the formatting information may be a little out of date, but to be honest I kind of skimmed those sections, so I can't be sure. Just keep in mind that this book was originally written a while ago and the self-publishing landscape changes very fast, so fast that even updates to the book might not have kept everything current. The overall advice seems very solid though.

Great Info, but Too Many Typos

This book was outstanding. Extremely helpful and filled with tons of useful information. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star review is the massive amount of typos in it. You asked us to help out and let you know of any, and I had every intention of doing so. I started highlighting them, so I could easily find them. However, there got to be so many of them, that I just don't have the time to go through the book and let you know what and where they are. Hire a proofreader and get them fixed because they really affect the flow of the reading. Still, it had excellent info in it, and I will use it a lot.

Crucial information...

I read this after reading David Gaughran's which I thought was also great. Anyone looking to easily sell an ebook but is new to the process should welcome these into their kindle library. Sometimes you wonder where these people get the energy to write such exhaustive information, but it's worth reading. I recommend it. And they make it seem effortless somehow.

Great ideas to get your Kindle books sold and read

Author John Tighe gives you great suggestions for writing your book and promoting it. It is actually a checklist you can follow to really ramp up your book sales. What I thought was missing was more information on the technical side of navigating the KDP website. Perhaps John will include this in a subsequent edition.

Not a bad book, with tons of details, especially about formatting. But one huge flaw: It hasn't been updated since 2014. So, with a nearly 11 year-old advice book about KDP, how can you trust that the information is accurate?

Another flaw is that Tighe tends to repeat information.

I'd love to see an updated version.

Th book is filled with great information on how to take your books from concept to publication. It provides some excellent ideas on publishing. In addition it has some amazing coverage on how to promote your book's launch and to maintain its sales.

Crush It With Kindle was loaded with great information. I'd recommend the book to any author who wants to learn more. The technology, suggestions, techniques, etc. are clearly presented. Lots of information to absorb.

Great , straight to the point info & guidance

Although all the info & guidance was straight forward & easy to understand, it was repeated far too often. I understand repeating info to ensure understanding & being retained - it was a bit excessive.

Lots of great content here. The start of the book is aimed at true beginners. So, if you have already published on kindle, most of the first part won't do much for you. But don't give up, because after that you will find lots of helpful advice and tips. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars, but no way to do that...

If you want to sell your nonfiction and fiction books through Kindle Direct Publishing, this book is for you. Offer tips for formatting your book prior to uploading it to the KDP online tool. It is the book that I refer to often when I had KDP-related questions when completing my two latest books, "Adinkrahene Book One" and "Real Men Raise CHAMPIONS: Unleashing Your Inner COACH". Not crushing it yet, but I will.

This is an okay book, but some of the information is outdated and incorrect. The author also mentioned updating a book after releasing it... yet failed to take his own advice on this one. There were typos and overall I didn't enjoy this book.
There are too many wonderful books to waste any time on this one.

This book does a really good job of covering the complete publishing process, from writing the book to putting together some basic promotions. I would have liked a little more information on the promotion front, but at least the author gave me a place to begin.
