How will Rayne convince these animals to make her their queen? I was born in Haiti and came to the United States at the age of seven. It was challenging for me to adjust to a new country and to a new family. After a few years, I began to adapt to this country and began to explore and admire what it had to offer me.

At the age of thirty years young, I was forced to face the biggest obstacle of my life. I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. While undergoing chemotherapy, I went back to college and received my master’s degree in children’s literacy. It is now six years later and I am in full remission.

I currently reside in Edison, New Jersey. I am a preschool special education teacher, and I love and take great pride in my career. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on my student’s faces as they overcome the challenges they face on a daily basis.

I consider myself to be very successful, along with being extremely proud of where I came from. I continue to remain humble and feel blessed with the people I surround myself with: God, my family, and great friends. In my spare time I love to work on my many arts and crafts projects, such as stained glass, card designing, writing children’s books, and jewelry design. One of these days, I hope that I complete the bucket list I made at the age of twenty-one.

Rayne by Elizabeth Rooks tell a story about a stubborn little girl by the name of Rayne. Rayne sets out in a journey to tell every living thing around her that she is the queen water supplier of the world. Even though they laugh and make fun of her, she never gives up. I think this book is a great book for children to read. The morals behind it is a lesson well learned. Because even though Rayne is laughed at, she still looks forward for another day of adventure. I bought another book from this author, "Where Does Sant Work After Christmas" it was her writing and that book that lead me to find this little diamond. Even though my little girl can't fully grasp the concept of this book (she's barely 4) she loved the noises I read out loud from the book.
