Helpful retirement financing advice, organized around the concept of building up various sources of a "lifetime retirement paycheck". Obviously interrelated with "how much do I need to save up?" but a slightly different framing.

Runs at the issues one time through simply (more concerned about outliving your money than leaving a bunch to your kids or to charity? get an immediate annuity. Other way around? use systematic withdrawal strategy. sort of interested in both? diversify......), and then delves into complications at the end (tax strategies etc.), which is I believe good "pedagogy" as my Dean would say.

When personal finance is discussed, I typically feel a fog settle over my brain. Thankfully, this book cuts through that fog with clear explanations of the terminology and scenarios that I usually find so confusing.
Steve Vernon defines the purpose of retirement income, then systematically outlines, step by step, how to determine individual retirement income needs. This book may be too basic for those well-versed in the world of finance, but for me, it was extraordinarily helpful.

Good book with great advice for planning retirement. This book does not provide "The Way" to set up your finances but covers goal setting and options for figuring out how to pay yourself once you are done working. Retirement planning is not a "one size fits all" proposition and this book lays out a lot to think about for getting ready for your post-work life.

Liked it and learned some new things.
Wasn't quite what I expected because I thought it would have more about the pre-retirement phase.
Probably one of the best at also steering you toward "other resources" to learn more and really appreciate that.
