She can’t remember her past. He has a past he wants to forget.
Unjustly accused of scandalous behavior, preacher Jonah Dykes is turned out of his church. He heads to the Colorado mines in search of his brother, the only one who can clear his name. While crossing a mountain pass, he witnesses a wagon crashing off the cliff. The sole survivor is a badly injured young woman, and the only clue to her identity is a note from her aunt, addressed to Olivia.
When Olivia regains consciousness, she has no memory of her past and is totally dependent upon Jonah to get her to a doctor and help her find her family. Afraid and vulnerable, it’s easy for Olivia to lose her heart to the kind, patient, and handsome man of faith.
As the attraction between Olivia and Jonah grows, they face an uncertain future, one that may bring danger and heartache.

This is Book #4 in the Rescued Widows, Spinsters and Brides series and is a sweet and heartwarming action packed story which includes: A false accusation, a wagon accident, amnesia, a missing brother, danger and romance. This is Olivia and Jonah's story, and the character development is outstanding. Jonah rescued Olivia from an overturned wagon and discovered she had amnesia. As he cared for her feelings began to develop between them but will danger and disappointment lie ahead for them? Be sure and read this great story to find out; it is a real page turner and I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

A historical western clean CF story about an exiled preacher, through no fault of his own, exiled from his church due to his brother's actions. In his journey to find him and make matters right, he comes across a horrible wagon mountainside accident rescuing a woman with head-trauma amnesia and a broken arm. On their trip to civilization, they become close but their unknown backgrounds becomes a hindrance until resolved. Story captured one's interest from the beginning, however, the ending was a bit of a downer if one is seeking an overall happily-ever-after story.

Jonah Dykes feels a calling to the lord but when he is turned away from his church as the pastor for scandal he goes in search of his brother to clear it up. Along the way he finds and rescues Olivia who needs time to heal and figure out who she is after the accident. This was a sweet, clean, early west romance read that I truly enjoyed.

Another excellent story by Elaine Manders. Despite being a novella, Olivia, features complex characters and a well-developed plot. Having been unjustly accused in my own life, I could relate to Jonah, and I admired him for his response to the situation. He is a gentle integrity-filled man who set aside his own situation to help Olivia who was in distress. The book starts out with a bang and moves quickly without feeling rushed. Lots of description helped me see, smell, and hear the Old West. The dialogue is realistic, and there were a couple of times I laughed out loud or said, “Oh, wow.” Highly recommended.
