Originally from the Sacramento Valley, Tory packed up and moved all the way to Southwest Florida in 2004 with her husband (a Florida native) under the premise that ‘hurricanes almost never hit that part of the state.’ That year, 4 blasted the area. 4 more came the following year, and her husband blames her for bringing the hurricanes. She now resides in Jacksonville and is relieved that, thus far, no more hurricanes have followed her around.

She began writing in kindergarten when a turnip wished to be human and, other than a hiatus shortly after getting married, has never stopped. Her love of vampires began somewhere in junior high, and combining the two loves didn’t take long. She loves music, considers herself a ‘book slut’ whose reading habits would break her family financially if given free reign, and is (usually) delighted to be a mommy of twin Shrimpettes and a Shrimp.

Starting off from where it left of at the end of book two, we know who Ares is but Chris and Jordan have written him off as a victim. At the same time, they are visited by an ancient, Xanthea. There are also snippets of a vision seen by seers showing two possible outcomes. Xanthea tells them something of their origins which shakes Chris and Jordan's foundation. A secret which Xanthea worked very hard to protect and a prophecy which can change the tide of things if Ares is not stopped in time. He has all the elements required to bring Atlantis back, and it is feared he may have started the process. Now in a race against time, Xanthea unlocks Chris Jordan’s gifts and her knowledge gives them leverage in finding and stopping Ares. At the same time, just in case they do not succeed, she has taken measures to ensure the prophecy will be fulfilled. Amid the chaos, there are issues of trust between the three, threat of the unknown, impending war between supernatural species, the burden of saving the world, and the possibility of love. Will they succeed? Will Jordan succumb fully to his dark nature? Will they understand and find love at last or will there be no tomorrow for anyone? What a beginning! The prologue literally gave me goosebumps then the prophecy itself. I did not expect it at all from the previous book. A darker book then the previous one, but even more fulfilling. For those who want romance, you will find plenty in this; however, the romance is a bit unconventional. It just does not fit Jordan and Chris’s nature to be all lovey dovey though there are plenty of sizzling scenes. I am so glad Ms. Michaels did not change the basic nature of their personality just to write romance. The characters are still the same as they began but so much more now. You feel their growth. The vibrancy of their personality steps out of the pages and speaks to one on a personal level. I loved them before and love them even more now. The secondary characters and small snippets of the impending doom gave the story dimension similar to watching a 3D movie. A hair-raising adventure with uncertainty, individuality, and the natural curiosity of human nature connects the reader. I cannot wait for more in this series, or learn what happens next. If you want to feel the full gist of the emotions, read the previous book. A definite keeper! Jeriha - See more at: http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/Book...

Once again Tory takes me by surprise in the direction she takes with the series. It was a great continuation (my favorite so far) and has even more magic, deception, action, suspense and romance than before. Any paranormal romance reader will definitely enjoy Prophecy of Blood!

Chris is still the beautiful, intelligent and strong woman we were introduced to earlier in the series. She learns many new things about herself, where she truly comes from, her powers and more about others that she’s unsure she even wants to know. One thing she DOES know for sure is… she’s falling hard for Jordan. So much to worry about with all that’s happening around her, she now has the fear that is her friends find out about how she feels, she’ll no longer have them :(

Jordan seems almost like a new man. He’s still a bit of a loon, a hardcore bad ass and sexually attracted to one he should be repulsed by, or should he. He fights many battles with both himself and others around him trying to bring harm to many. He should not care, yet he does and will stop at nothing to keep them all safe, especially Chris.

I LOVED seeing another side to both Jordan and Chris. An actual softer side (well as soft as you can get with these two), I never thought I’d actually grow to like Jordan. But I do! For those of you wondering if it can be read as a stand-alone read, the answer is yes. But I strongly suggest you reading the entire series in order so you can truly understand the whys and the how’s of the story. You may not truly appreciate what goes on (especially between Chris and Jordan) otherwise :)

I love Jordon, I love to love him and I love how sometimes I don’t love him at all but actually hate him and then he does something to make me love him again. He is a dynamite of a character that really makes the story.

The delivery is so good it adds a breath of fresh air into the plot. The story flew off the pages. I didn't have to take the time to picture it as it was already there. I truly enjoyed this read and highly recommend Prophecy of blood to the paranormal romance lovers out there.
