I’ma spin and spin and spin and spin again.

Gutted, I was, the day you left my side, but I understood that it was no one’s fault but mine. I pushed you away, wearing my pain on my sleeve while pursuing a passion that stemmed from that very pain. In the end, you decided to choose yourself and I could never fault you for that. But, it hurt and still does til this day.

Anticipation . It kept me waiting for the day you’d walk back into my life. I padlocked my heart to keep everyone out until that day came because there was something in me that convinced me that life wasn’t cruel enough to keep us apart. I kept the faith that you’d return.

Dazed , I considered myself the day that you did, knowing there was no way I would let you go again. In any capacity, I needed you in my world, so even with stipulations, I agreed. It didn’t matter how much or how little, I just needed you there.

Crushed , I am knowing that we’ve grown to be different people with different views on life and we’re no longer aligned. But, baby, I’ma spin and spin again until we are. Because there’s no nigga in the world who deserves to love you more than I do.

weak in the knees for a F boy 🥵

I love Grey but sadly this one wasn’t for me. I spent the whole book waiting on Nature to staaannn up! And she never did smh. Female characters that never find a back bone I just can’t connect with. Milo never faced any consequences for his actions because all nature knew how to do was talk tough for half a second and cave the next. Hell christina had a job for 86% of the book! Of course this is a love story so they needed to end up together ultimately but a detour for Nature and some real effort on Milo’s behalf would have been nice. It was hard to make it through the end.

My brain is mentally exhausted. Two themes in this book: toxic back & forward behavior and frequent unnecessary sexx. I’m not a prude & love a good lil freakaleak scene but this was TEW MUCH. He desired her more physically than mentally and it was a huge turn off. I had to detach from the characters and go into autopilot to finish this book.

The 3rd book in this series “Makai” will have to wait. I need a break from this “sexx with a lil bit of story”writing style.

Spoilers:
Everybody is getting on Nature about running from Milo when it’s evident that she is in love with him. Because it’s obvious Milo wants & loves Nature. To me, it’s literally a battle between the heart and mind. He is a cheater and it broke her down. I feel like she was torturing herself by even entertaining him at all. Love isn’t always enough. You gotta think about your mental health. Being sad behind a ninja & pregnant ain’t it!

More spoilers:
Now to Zane- it’s creepy to me flirting with a pregnant woman. Even agreeing to hit her up months after birth is weird. The child’s father will be heavily in contact with the mother which is a pipeline to drama. He did seem nice though. And it was smart of him to cut ties after a “doctor” (scoffs) shows up to his workplace to threaten him. He moved like a man with something to lose. He waved that drama right on out his life.

Not really a spoiler:
The author couldn’t have picked a worse occupation for Milo. With all the carrying on Milo did, you expect me to believe/accept that man to be a BRAIN DOCTOR?! Grey played in my face with that one. It was so unrealistic. Better off telling us that he was a physical therapist, or a franchise owner or something like that.

So yeah, 2 stars for Milo’s story. Malachi’s story was so much better to me.

Lawd did Nay annoy me. There were times I wanted to shake some sense into her…all her ass did was run 😒🤣. Milo and Nay are a second chance romance story. Milo knows Nay is the one that got away and he finally takes every effort to get Nay back. I don’t get Zane being in the book as he was a non-factor. I hope Kleu fckd Christina up 🤣. It was nice catching up with some of the previous gang. I can’t wait for the rest of the brothers stories and I hope Chem gets one…his mysterious ass has me interested in his story.

Finally I’ve made time to read Milo and I can say this was good. The kind of work I expect from Grey. Second chances are complicated; I either love them or hate them because one person always makes things more difficult for the other. We follow Nature and Milo, two young lovers who met in college and experienced severe heartache due to Milo's infidelity. Milo hasn't gotten over the girl who got away for over a decade. He is dead set on winning back his women. Milo knew he wanted Nature but he got comfortable I understood him wanting Nature to put her walls down but he was all words and no action. I think the Christina situation should have been deaded, but it seems these Domino men learn the hard way. There was a tug of war between these two. Nature irritated me with all that running especially at the end cause aint no hoe ruining my special day. They didn't get it together until towards the end, which is typical of second-chance romances, but I really admire their perseverance. I thought it was great that we learned more about each Domino men. For me, the most intriguing brothers are Chem and Mercer. I have no doubt that reading Makai will be a fun experience. When Aussie make an appearance, she always stands out. I would have liked to learn more about Mason, to be honest. Im kind of curious about the Charity situation it was glossed over. This was a unique rollercoaster I’m glad I finally read it.

Spinnin in yo arms

I love reading Grey's books because most of the time she gives us a BIG complicated love and even though it stresses me I out I love it! This story lived up to that sentiment. The epilogue is crazy and was like 70 pages lol, I may be the only one that likes that ish because trust me she had me locked in. I knew I was about to be on a roller coaster ride with these two.

Milo and Nature were young lovers that met early on in college, both geniuses really light years ahead of their classes. Unfortunately their college love didn't end in a fairy tale love instead it ended in devastating heartbreak. Over a decade later Milo still loves Nature deeply, although his actions were hella contradictory half the time. None the less he knew where his heart belonged as did Nature. If I had to describe Nay aka Nature in one word it would be scared. The heartbreak she experienced by Milo in the past left her fearful of the damage he would do if she willingly gave her heart to him again and sis was not wrong because Milo KEPT showing his whole azz. The word I choose for Milo is audacity, cuz the ninja had a whole lot without merit. The "agreement" they had I thought would have been enough for Milo to get right, but it just wasn't and for most of the book I didn't understand him. I understood his fear, but tbh stand on yo ish man or get on. I didn't like how he was playing in her face. Yes Nay was aggy, but she clearly LOVED that man. It took a VERY long time for him to activate that BDE outside of the bedroom and I promise I was about ova him. As you can see they wore me tf out with all their spinnin.

There were so many things that I liked about this book. I'll start with the brothers!! I really enjoyed the brothers in this book. I missed their presence in Malachi and I was really confused as to how we were going to get to know them, but Grey did her thing and I am intrigued by all of the brothers. In fact I liked Malachi, more in this book than his own. Makai is a straight fool and I need to see who gone tame him. Chem feels like he is going to be a fave, let me in on the secrets. Mercer needs a good woman to take him out of his shell. Lawe's cameos had me laughing and I appreciated seeing him and Kleu. Sweet Aussie was the best big cousin and the WAY she was inserted into the story line was perfect, bravo there Grey. I'll spoil it if I go any further.

As yall can tell I really like the book, however it could have used some editing. There were several grammar issues and I had to read one sentence like 3 times to understand what it meant. I expect more from Grey. Then the overuse of the thesaurus, because there were some unnecessary challenging words which I normally like, but I didn't really like them in the context they were used. That said it's definitely worth the read.

⭐️⭐️

I’m convinced I read a different version of this book than everyone else. Because how did anyone root for Milo. He was 🗑️ the entire book, especially after we learned the reason they split in college.

But given they were young, I was giving him grace. Until I realized, this 🥷🏾- had spent the past few years sending gifts and proclaiming he was going to get his woman back. And did everything but show her, he was a changed man.

All Milo brought to the table, with the exception of heartache was 🍆 and money. Being that Nature is a doctor, I’m not sure why money mattered. But at any time he was stacking his claim on her, he pointed out how much money he had and the orgasms he could provide.

Its giving toxic. It’s giving immature. It’s giving why are you wasting her time?!

When Malachi pointed out he could simply do better… I screamed. Because bruh! Listen the truth had never been simpler. But instead he spent more time begging after doing the wrong thing, than simply doing right.

Now Nature wasn’t completely faultless and I was frustrated when she folded like a chair every time. Sis, found a good one (Zane) and was actually interested. She should’ve stuck beside him.

I can’t stand a trash a** MMC who does anything and everything he wants. But ready to blick something, when the FMC has the audacity to seek out her options.

Keep in mind these people are supposedly geniuses. Child! I can’t.

Hated Milo, he was trash. Nature deserved more, but she was too weak in the knees. He played in her face the entire story- even the wedding was ruined by his situationship. Who also remained working for him until 85% of the story was done. Yet, she couldn’t fully entertain Zane without all the foolishness.

And honestly, when did he really get his ish together? Because from what I read, a week after “committing” to her, she was moving in.

Only a week, after he spent months sending mixed messages. Doing the boyfriend I want to be with you thing and still sleeping with another woman. Bringing said woman to his home, after saying he wouldn’t do that. Then continuing with the woman until, maybe 6 weeks before asking you to marry him. Girl! Heck no!

Then a 1-2 weeks later a wedding was being planned. At the end she’s pregnant again, after spending her honeymoon crying over his sloppiness. Nature deserved better.

Lastly, there’s no way Mason and Aussie was that advanced. The language can be both advanced and still matching that of a child.

Milo 🖤

First, let me say that I love the Black Excellence exuding from both Milo and Nature 🖤 In true Grey fashion- we get a man beautifully obsessed with his Woman.

In this story, we journey along with Milo and Nature. They’ve loved each other since meeting as college kids but infidelity caused them to be apart for over a decade. Milo was everything. I loved that he was so intelligent with a rough side. Nature agitated me a bit with running from her true feelings - not gonna lie. I loved that she had her therapist bestie Shayla who helped open her eyes. It seemed like something was always in the way when it came to Milo and Nature but they were great for each other.

I loved the appearances of some of the other characters we love in Berkeley. Aussie is still the smartest kid I’ve ever seen.

I’m excited for Makai’s story next!

SPOILER ALERT 🚨

This review contains spoilers!

I’ll start by saying, I love Grey’s pen game. The words on the pages vividly play out like a movie in my mind. She certainly does not disappoint. However, out of the entire Eisenberg/Domino series, Milo is my least favorite so far. The back and forth between Nature and Milo for over half the book was exhausting. Why a women as intelligent as her wanted to introduce, a child into their dysfunction, when she should have stuck to her original plan and got a donor, is beyond me.

Nothing about Milo screamed bae. He was about as immature as one could be. Milo had so many red flags like believing his 🍆 and s*x were the remedy for everything, stalking Nature after he messed up and she needed space, breaking into her home, making copies of her keys without her knowledge and threatening to f**k her up and end the life of any man she showed interest in. All while having an inappropriate relationship with his assistant and begging Nature to give him grace and stick by him! Then flexing on Zane because his brokenness couldn’t handle Nature moving on. Let’s not pretend his controlling ways and this level of insane jealousy is love. He’s giving very toxic and insecure vibes. His behavior was such a turn off, I found myself skipping pages towards the end of the book.

Nature played in Zane’s face all to try to get Milo to pursue her. She nonchalantly acted like Milo’s behavior was okay and gave him far too many passes. For someone who claimed action spoke louder than words, she ignored all his toxic actions because she was too busy being di**matized. I felt sorry for her as a character and that she couldn’t see her own worth. To make matters worse she married him, stayed with him even after the ruined wedding, and had another child.

I will say I did enjoy the other characters in the book though.

No

The story line had so much potential. Two educated black doctors in high positions figuring out their relationship while trying to fight for forever together. All of it was super cute up until the club fight. Then this book became a hot ghetto mess. The way these ppl talked and their behavior is no equivalent to highly educated black folks. Can black folks with PHD’s and other high level degrees be hood? Sure. However would they ever walk around with golds in their mouth and end Letters with “the ni$g@ dicking you down? “NO. Then the author added so many unnecessary details. We don’t need a break down of a mother slide across the seat to unbuckle a car seat. I literally stop reading at the half way mark. The only reason I gave two star is be because I know the author can do better.

nature + Milo stressed me out

Let me start with these two stressed me OUT!
I understood Nature’s reservations but I was begging and pleading for her to give this man a fair chance.

Milo irritated my soullll!! The fact that he couldn’t resist Christina? She didn’t even sound that fine to risk it all over. TBH

I was begging for healing with them. Clear communication. Something. I did appreciate Milo spinning and spinning and spinning. But he should’ve started with more action instead of words and sex.

I can breathe knowing they got their HEA at the expense of my mental health lol

I can’t wait for Makai crazy self. I also enjoyed more updates on the family.

Trigger warning‼️‼️ cheating, small mention of murder/suicide,

Milo is definitely not my kinda hero. Why you tryna get me back but still fucking anything in a skirt sir?? He was black excellence at his core but was not a man of integrity in the beginning and middle of this book when it concerns his relationship with Nature.
P.s fucking a random the night before then then your so called love of your life the following day isn’t cute to me
And while some may be annoyed at Nature for running at the end, I completely understand it but on another note her ability to think the worst of Milo right away just proves to me that she doesn’t completely trust Milo or have healed from his cheating
While the story of itself was top notch, I just couldn’t fantasize & thoroughly enjoy It like I did with the Eisenberg series and book 1 & 2 of the Dominio series .

I struggled to get through this book. I screamed “Girl if you don’t get the f*** up!!!” so many times that my husband asked me why I was torturing myself.

I think I’m not a fan of a woman who gets disrespected at every turn and instantly folds at the first 🍆 down after only pouting for half a day. This man was smashing her raw and getting serviced by his secretary at the same time and she took him back? When he already had a history of cheating?

Also, how can a woman who has her own money be so easily impressed by monetary things when the thing that really mattered like, I don’t know - respect, was absent.

There was nothing happy about this ending because I never believed in him or this relationship and don’t think that they should have been having kids in that mess.

This is the 3rd book that I have read by this author and I unfortunately think that this is where our journey will end. I gave it a fair shot but she writes men who are just overly toxic and woman whose hearts reside between their legs and I just can’t do it no more. Yall stay safe though ✌🏾

The worse so far

Milo was the most hood ratchet doctor!! I thought I was about to read about a character with class but nope this dude awful! So you really walk up in someone’s job to threaten them over a woman that’s not yours wow! I really wanted Nature to end up with Zane but she was just as goofy but I guess that good D will make you dumb!

Nature x Milo

Well, I finished and got to know Milo. Although this book was a signature Grey novel, Milo did not leave a lasting impression on me. But overall, Milo was impressive. He was educated, he had money and power and something about him kinda screamed arrogant. IMO, he didn’t possess the BDE and meekeness like Luca or Ledge. He also didn’t quite have the toxic trait of Lawe nor Laike that we’ve all grown to love.

Yes, Milo was his own person, and I understand it’s not really fair to compare him to the other character’s I’ve grown to love, but something about him just didn’t do it for me.

Milo did love him some Nature. A love that goes way back. He knew Nature was it for him, but Milo couldn’t get it together. Milo and his situation with Christina were hella confusing, and it felt forced and honestly unnecessary. Maybe if it was developed more, it would’ve made a bit more sense to me. They would just randomly link up…even when things were ok with him and Nay.

Nature, I liked. Although she tap danced on some of my nerves, I understood her. All her moves were rooted in fear. She was a badass in her career, but not in her personal life where she really needed to be. But she too loved, loved Milo. After one too many deceptions, Nature tries to retreat. But she couldn’t stay away, nor could she deny him.

Nature and Milo finally got it together, and I appreciate the effort on both of their ends to make it work cause, honestly, they didn’t have a choice. They were tethered to one another. They were meant for one another.

Btw, Zayne didn’t deserve that. I was low-key disappointed in Nature for not having a conversation with him after everything happened.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. I enjoyed getting to know Milo and his clan. I'm super intrigued by Mercer. Can’t wait for his story.

Milo worked my very last nerve!

I don't think I have ever wanted to see a character for a frank discussion- as much as I needed to see Milo... Man, what was wrong with his nonchalance in regard to Nature. Anyone could see and feel his love for Nature, and yet he still dipped and dabbled in unearned places. Nature had his heart, so why was Milo choosing to be unwittingly dense. Sometimes the smartest ones don't always exercise their power. Milo took me through the trenches and parched my feelings. GH, whew, this time I wanted closure to come real quick, so that Nature and I could get off this ride. I should have known the ending would be vintage Milo. Buckle up, you are going to need it. 5+ stars....

I was losing hope for Milo. Out of all the Huffington male characters, I really thought I was going to dislike someone. He just could not get himself together and needed to grow up. Nature was iffy too at times. It definitely got better and I was rooting for them towards the end of the book. The way I screamed at the plot twist. I wanted to fight a hoe. Milo’s not on my shit list. He’s a good guy after all.

Lmao I thought I was really gonna love this, but Nature and Milo were a fucking mess if I’m being honest 🤦🏽‍♀️ and y’all know I love second chances, but this shit was kinda silly.

One issue I had w this book was Nature being fake gay for the last 10 years and not talking about that more. I get you being hurt bc your first love wasn’t faithful but damn. How you get with your “best friend” and stay w her for that long if you were really in love w old dude the whole time???? 😅

Another thing that’s pissed me off is Milo’s behavior. I get they weren’t really together but if the only issue Nature had was his cheating, why tf would he say he wants to be w her forever when he couldn’t keep his dick out of bitches mouths!? Not once, not twice, but multiple times. How can you say you want the mother of your child to be your wife forever and she’s the only girl you ever loved but you keep fucking these random bitches!? It actually drove me crazy at certain points bc some men really think like this smh. Oh and the fact that he didn’t fire that thirsty ass bitch immediately was stupid af 😅

And I’m really just tryna figure what Nature thought this was gonna be like. All she did was point fingers at Milo, but real shit babe, having a baby was her idea and she was the one who agreed to coparent. Like if she was so distrustful the whole time, why agree and then be surprised when your feelings got hurt? She’d just shut down and stopped communicating the min she heard or saw something she wasn’t prepared for. Like at 36!? You mad at your ex who you knew was a fuck boy, actually being a fuck boy when you never said you wanted him to be something different. Idk ma it’s like stand up or speak up, but you can’t do nothing and just complain.

So sorry about spazzing about this, it really wasn’t that bad of a story. Just these characters got annoying after a while bc they were both childish af. Lowkey made for each other but still, why decide to have a baby if yall can’t act like adults 😅🙃 but tbh when you think about it they were successful doctors who are natural underdeveloped socially and both had deep childhood trauma. So maybeeeeee I should give them a break lmao 😅 but idk 😅

milo and nay

Once again Ms. Grey ate down, you hear me lol!!! The way she writes these men, chiefs kiss. Don’t get me wrong Milo was horrible, I almost couldn’t read when I realized he was a cheater. But Ms. Grey writes so well I knew the story would still capture me. Milo and Nay aka the doctors lol. I love when authors incorporate black greatness into their writing. Milo was a real piece of work. I knew he would be a problem when at the beginning of the story, he in the bed with someone then a few hours later he’s sleeping with the “love of his life”. I get they both didn’t establish their relationship, but if you’re tell me you love me and want me. What else is that supposed to mean? Nay was just as confusing too. Milo pissed me off when he blew up about her date but allowed himself to get topped off. Milo just had too much going on. Still a 5/5 read as always!

Milo…

I LOVE AND DEVOUR nearly every book by Grey but this one was a struggle… I loved nature she felt so genuine and you could feel every ounce of pain she went through while far from perfect she didn’t really play games. I didn’t like Milo he talked a big game yet didn’t back any of it until he was jealous?? He was on some MAJOR hypocrisy it made him look like a whole clown especially given their past. I wanted to love them and I do believe they were meant to be I just hate that she had to go through so much pain and humiliation to get there while the only pain he went through with them was of his own making. Still recommend it’s a good read just not the love I’d want.

Same old Same old

Heroine is "pure", Hero is a cheater

Milo was a whole 36 year old man; smh
You wouldn't be able to tell the way he was infantilized in this book
He was definitely not a price
Nature (beautiful name) should have been allowed to explore other options

Imagine your man's receptionist being your opp cus he has community deeek, lmaoo
He canceled a meeting with you so he could get his d**k sucked but Nature is the one who won.. big LOLLL

The homophobia was so unnecessary

These Grey Huffington men are unhinged 🤣🤣. I love her he waited for years for her, but I totally agree with Nature, don’t just sit be proactive. I commend Milo for how once he realized she needed more than him waiting he got real active and came hard. A man who you only have to tell things once is always gone be the best kind!!!
