Otherworldly magic, Celtic monsters, and the wrath of the Morrigan: A Court of Thorns and Roses meets Percy Jackson.
Suddenly, my pain and anger honed themselves into a sharp point, one aimed directly at the goddess's heart. She had been controlling Cade’s life, my life, for far too long. And then, in a powerful wave of realization strong enough to sweep the frantic tornado in my mind off course and force the air from my lungs, I understood what I needed to do . . .
Meghan Elam knows that she belongs in the Otherworld, but she doesn't know if she's quite ready to take that leap. With Cade on the mend and her mortal family aware of their daughter's true identity, everything seems lined up for her to make a smooth transition into her new life. Unfortunately, Meghan has a mortal enemy, an angry goddess who has not yet given up on her chance for revenge.
As Meghan struggles to find her place in Eile, secrets from a past she knows nothing about well up and threaten to tip the scales even further. And when the Morrigan vows to bring a war down upon the Otherworld, she finds herself stuck in the middle of an epic battle, one that promises to destroy all that she holds dear. In order to save the ones she loves the most, Meghan must be prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice and hope that she will be strong enough to vanquish her enemy once and for all.

SPOILER!!!!! I COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS WHOLE SERIES!!!!! I really hope you decide to continue the story on with Donn hunting after them for revenge! I would be the first to read if you did! Would love to see how Adien grows into his powers now that we know he has them. I'm not to sure I wouldn't have fled from the Morgan's layer with all the skulls laying around, but I knew Meghan's love for her brother would hold her there. Love they turned to be real blood related, what a GREAT surprise!!

Going to keep it simple. You know that feeling you get after you eat an expensive, tasty meal? Yeah that’s how the ending made me feel. Very pleased with how the story ended. Meghan grows in every way possible from her bouts with self-doubt and personal relationships. Not sure what I can say without spoiling anything so it will be brief. I was pleased with how the trilogy wrapped up and know from the ending, that there has to be more to come. After further research, I was pleased to find that their story doesn’t quite end there and there will be some lose ends taken care of. Looking forward to reading on. Books 1 & 2 continued to get better; book 3 is the cherry on top. I’ll be thinking about them for years to come. I applaud the author and thank her for giving us a peek into the world of the Fae with rich imagery and characters that you can’t help but love. Thanx again!
I love this book. The whole trilogy is amazing. I cried in many parts of this one because you can feel the emotions Meghan feels during her many trials. There were times I screamed at her, and yelled at Cade. I can't wait to read the rest in the series. I would definitely recommend to others.
I waited 4 months for the release of Luathara after reading Faelorehn and Dolmarehn at LEAST 5 times each (could be more, I think I lost track of how many times I actually read them both). When I got an email from the author letting her readers know that Luathara had FINALLY been released, as soon as I had enough in my account, I bought it... and I read it ... in 1 sitting. Now, as everyone knows, I don't do spoiler alerts, period. BUT, I do have to say that I am anxiously awaiting to see just what the author comes up with next since this is the conclusion of Meghan and Cade, and I AM glad that she has already let us know that one of my favorite supporting characters will have his own series. I digress though.
I love being able to give books 5 stars, and am pleased to say that the wait for this book was worth it. Romance, action, magic, fantasy all wrapped up in a YA book that even a 30something can enjoy (not that I'm 30something, I'm 25 lol). The ending of the book was by far my favorite part, with the fight against the Morrigan, although, had the author not been on a word limit I would have loved a little bit more of a struggle between her and Meghan at the end. I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves a good fantasy with some reality and some romance thrown in. And I have to add... I am eagerly awaiting to see what Jenna Elizabeth Johnson comes up with next, whether it's the continuation of the Oscienne series or if it's something entirely new.
The best book in the series yet! Full of action, suspense and sweet heartfelt romance I couldn’t put this down. I enjoyed the growth in the characters and having everything come to a thrilling conclusion.
I am so glad I started reading this trilogy. And Luathara wrapped up this story perfectly, and i am glad the author left a little opening in case she chooses to come back to Cade and Meagan (which would be great!). If you haven't read this series, I would highly recommend it!
Wow, this was probably the best one in the series, I enjoyed them all but it was nice to finally find out what happened, It would be great if there was another one after it :-) Would definitely recommend and rate this 5/5
Amazing! I am so glad I didn't find this series until all 3 books were out because I couldn't stop once I started reading these books.
YA, fantasy, romance all rolled into one beautiful yet action packed story. This story transcends all ages and leaves your heart in your throat at many points.
This is the final chapter of the trilogy and I think the best... where Meghan finally makes a stand for the man she loves and her family and finds the courage... What an awesome job on the entire trilogy series. I look forward to reading more... Thank you Jenna!
I have mixed feelings about this three star rating. On one hand, these books draw me in. Ever since I read the second one in the series, I have been thinking about it and wanting to read this one. It has created an interest in me to learn more about Celtic mythology. There were a couple of things in the book though, that I wish had been a little different...While it was not there a lot there was a little bit of swearing in this book that wasn't present in the other two books. I was also a little disappointed in the way she handled Meghan and Cade's relationship. Having said all of that, I really did enjoy the book, and I will continue reading the series.
This series definitely caters to a certain group of readers, namely those who enjoy a definite happy ending, clean language, ideal characters and relationships, and perfect landscapes. It seems like most of these characters and settings are archetypal. There is barely any strong language/swearing (save for 'bitch'), although the lack of any comment of the characters expressing strong sentiments -- except gasping, 'whispering harshly' -- makes their reactions slightly unreal... too controlled, perhaps? Not the writing style I prefer, but some other readers might well enjoy this. The romance was a fair bit corny, but that's to be expected for first loves, I guess?

Seriously, this story has consumed me from the 1st book. I have been able to relate to the characters as never before in literature. The imaginative creatures, loving animals, and exciting people that inhabit these books want to live in my brain. I just named my new kitten Meridian! I'm so thankful the author has continued the stories. I look forward to reading the rest of her books
Best of the 3 I have read but still missing the formorian that was supposedly being held prisoner that was mentioned prior to final battle and no further mention is made. Would they not search the Morrigan's castle? That is why I give this 4 stars because it is missing information that was mentioned and relates to other information. Still good action and war, well made characters, good world building, magic, romance and sorrow.
This series kept me on my seat. It is a great young adult book. As much as I wished there was a less pg version for adults (cade and meghan romance ❤) it was great. Having read more descriptive fantasy books, some of the build up scenes were a bit lacking for me, but again great for a young adult!! Over all 5/5
I am so glad that I started this Series. This last book was amazing. I couldn’t put it down, and when I did I was constantly thinking about it. So many things that were happening all at once. Things that I didn’t see coming. I recommend this series!
From the small sample I have read I am interested in reading the rest of this book but find getting into the correct book confusing as I believed I was already reading book 4
I have now read all three. The dynamic characters seem to pop off the pages. There is so much emotion! Irish magic, yet also happening in today! I would love to see this On a big screen. A book you will not want to put down!
What a fun and adventurous read. A coming of age tail with highs and lows weaving a grand story of unspeakable evil and high adventure, love, and the power of the human spirit. Highly recommend!
It was a pretty cute series. Just enough to keep me reading. I do feel that I may be getting too old for characters set out of high school now, though.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The characters have real depth and make their world more full. Love, war and so much more, make this a real page turner.
Out of the trilogy this is the best book out of the three. There is more romance, magic and definitely more action. Like the second book it continues right where the last book left off. It expands even further into Celtic mythology. Introducing more Gods/Goddesses and even more new creatures. Which made my heart leap, introducing a few of my favorites not yet covered in the other two books. Meghan has made her decision to move to the Otherworld and finds herself in the middle of a war between the Morrigan and those she holds dear.
Cade is on the mends. Meghan's mortal family finally knows her secret. Some might see the beginning of the book as a little slow. I felt that she needed to say goodbye to her mortal family and her friends before starting her new life in the Otherworld. In this book she will learn even more secrets. Dangerous secretly that can affect everyone she loves mortal or not.
She will find that the Morrigan has not forgotten her from the last book. That she has her eyes set out on revenge. Before she knows it she will discover that she's in the middle of an epic battle. Will she be strong enough to prevail? Is she willing to sacrifice everything to save those that she cares about even if it means giving up her life?
Some may see Meghan as weak in this book. I think without her mortal family and friends. That she looses some of her confidence, being alone and on her own for the first time in her life. With the knowledge that a Goddess will stop at nothing to kill her. Personally I think she handles it better than most young woman would. On the other hand we finally get to know about the mysterious Cade. Which will make you fall even more in love with him. This book is the perfect ending to the series. It ties up all the loose ends, yet leaves it open for possibly future books....hint....hint....
Review from Elysian Fields Reviews. Rated 4.3 out of 5 Stars My Thoughts After the slow start of the first book, Faelorehn, I really had no intentions on finishing this series. Thankfully, my obsession of all things Fae took over my brain, and I continued reading this wonderful series. The second book, Dolmarehn and Luathara made up for the slow start ten times over! Wow, I was definitely not expecting the turn of events that this book took, and I'm still collecting my thoughts after the craziness that happened.
Meghan's character grows in leaps and bounds in this final book, and her maturity and selflessness amazed me. Her love for Cade and her willingness to sacrifice herself for his happiness was heartbreaking. Meghan is the daughter of the high queen, and Cade is the son of her enemy, The Morrighan. Queen Danua insists that Cade is not good enough for Meghan, but she doesn't let her mother control her. She knows that she is in love with Cade, and that's all that matters. She doesn't care what other people say about him, and she doesn't let Cade believe what they say either. I somehow fell in love with Cade even more in this book. He is an amazingly written male character- the ultimate book boyfriend! The world building was amazing, and the descriptions of the creatures and the world itself is phenomenal! I felt like I was there in the Otherworld, and the descriptions were written across my mind. I enjoyed the powers that Meghan continued to find, and the twists and turns in the plot line were unexpected and incredible. All in all, this series turned out to be wonderful, and I am more than happy I continued reading!
