I have always wanted to have a stargazing date. I think it’s so romantic! I have also always loved hearing different myths about the origins of constellations and how there are so many stories that explain how each one came to be.
In One Question for the Quarterback, the characters are likeable and the story is a good light read. Unfortunately, the characters ended up feeling surface level and missing some depth for me. I also could not get invested in Kate and Asher’s relationship because it was instalove without Asher knowing anything about Kate except her looks. I would usually say it is because of how short this novella is, but I have read other short novellas by Ellen Brooks that I liked more because they at least touched on deeper topics and the main characters got to know each other beyond looks.
I had higher hopes for this book but it was still enjoyable. I would recommend this book if you're looking for a light, instalove read between heavier books! If you're looking for a novella that does get deeper but is still fairly light and spicy, I would suggest Ellen Brooks's other books :)
Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I really enjoyed this one.

This book is part of the Sunday Night Lights series and the main characters are Kate Dawson, small town reporter for the local rag, The Ravish Ridge Times, and star quarterback Asher Monroe, who is coming to town for his sister Savannah’s wedding to local Deputy Police Chief, Robbie. She has tried to ask his publicist for an exclusive interview whilst he’s in town, but been refused. Even her editor Leonard has told her she should be grateful the paper has been granted exclusive rights to the wedding events which will take place over a whole weekend! She hopes she will be able to approach Asher whilst doing this and get him to agree to an exclusive interview as well! She meets him as he joins Robbie and a couple of his friends for a round of golf and a bet is made on one hole, with the winner getting to choose what they want as the prize, and obviously, she chooses an exclusive interview with him! He didn’t know she played golf at college and was rather good at it, unlike her friends. Before he met Kate, his plans had been to get in and then get out as soon as the wedding was over, no dilly dallying around at all. He doesn’t really know anyone else in town and that is pretty obvious at the rehearsal dinner. Everyone wants to be around him because of his fame and wants to know more about him.
But meeting Kate and being dragged into a few town friendly events with her and even her dad and a group of kids practising their football skills early in the morning, has him see the kind of life a small town can allow. He is even more attracted to her when he sees what she is wearing for the wedding, a complete change to how she normally dresses. He can’t understand why no one else has picked her up already, but to all the men in town, she is the athletic female friend they have all grown up with and seen as one of the boys, not a romantic type of friend. She doesn’t believe that a man like him would be interested in her either, but plenty of others have noticed how he can’t keep his eyes off her. When they inevitably get together, she thinks her interview is over as she could never publish it now she has slept with him, whilst he is determined to get what he wants. And he wants Kate! He never gives up on what he wants, as proven by his prowess on the football field, and it isn’t just a one night stand he is after. He needs to play harder at getting her to realise that she has already stolen his heart and he means to be with her forever! She thinks she is going to be saying goodbye to him after this special weekend, but a HEA is guaranteed if he has anything to do with it. Lovely little addition to the ending which beefs out what happens to them both next, but still a very short story with a touch of steamy romance. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
One Question for the Quarterback is a short and steamy, instalove, sports romance. Kate is a smart, sassy, and athletic news reporter. Asher is a hunky professional football player home for 2 days for his sister Savannah's wedding. Savannah is a local movie star, so Kate has exclusive access to the wedding for coverage. Kate also hopes to interview Asher over the weekend as she has dreams of being a sports reporter in a larger market. When she and Asher meet, they are instantly attracted to one another. She is unlike anyone Asher has met and determined to make her his. But Kate is used to being one of the guys. Can Asher prove he's all in? I loved the witty banter, and the characters had great chemistry. We also get an amazing HEA. This was such a great short sports romance. I loved it!.

Kate (h), a small-town reporter, aims to secure an exclusive interview with star quarterback Asher (H) during his brief visit for his sister's wedding. Asher, focused on a quick in-and-out trip, unexpectedly finds himself drawn to Kate, a whip-smart athlete with a tomboyish charm. Despite initial plans for a mere interview, their connection intensifies, revealing the allure of small-town life and the unexpected romance between the quarterback and the reporter. As their relationship develops and things heat up between the two, Kate grapples with insecurities, believing someone like Asher wouldn't be interested in her. Asher, determined and relentless both on and off the football field, sets out to convince her they're meant to be. Hot and steamy sports romance with a side of humor and angst.
4.5 stars I love the world of Ravish Ridge and am glad to be back visiting 😊. This is another awesome read in that connected world. The story is entertaining, fun, short, good read. Asher and Kate are interesting, intriguing, relatable, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their time on page together and their romance. It’s sweet and fitting for the characters. I love that we got to see so many of the characters from the previous books in the Ravish Ridge series. I hope we get to see more of this couple in other books in the Ravish Ridge universe.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is a cute romance set in Ravish Ridge which is a small town in Montana. Asher comes to town to attend his sister's wedding and it's supposed to be a quick in and out trip. Little did he expect to fall head over heels in love at first glance at the reporter who is covering the wedding. I loved the insecurity that Kate has over the truth of Asher's feelings for her as she's been overlooked for so long that it's overdue for her to get a happily ever after. Plus she still gets her career aspirations and the guy in the end. It was over the top adorable and a quick feel good read.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This romance is short and sweet with a lot of chemistry and heat. Asher finds himself falling hard and fast, while Kate's attraction and feelings grow. They both see each other differently than they see themselves. Asher knows he'll do whatever it takes to make sure she sees the same future that he does. This was a good addition to the series even thought its a standalone also
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a cute instalove romance. It was a short story with a good pace. It’s a part of a series but it’s totally able to function as a standalone. I liked the chemistry between Kate and Asher and enjoyed reading the story.
Kate is a sports reporter in Ravish Ridge and when a high profile Quarterback visits her small town for a wedding, she sees her chance. Asher is attending his sisters wedding, but everything changes for him when he meets Kate. He falls instantly for her and nothing can stop him from wooing his woman🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet, short, steamy, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA and totally drama free 😍😍😍😍😍
A cute quick closed door sports romance. This is the perfect read if you only have 30 minutes or so to read. With it being so short it is a fast burn. The spice is there in the little bit of lead up, but mostly this is a closed door read.
This one is a lot more close door than the other books in this series. I was thinking the author might be hiding a v card trope. Another under an hour installment. This one has a lot of previous character pop ups as it features the big wedding. This is a fun series
Or two for one. A sweet tale of a wedding in small town Montana. Big sky setting with local reporter hoping to interview MVP quarterback. A short story that is quick to read and well worth it. The characters are wonderful. There are fun surprises. True hallmark style but well done. A page turning tale.
This was a sweet, spicy, hot, yummy and all the good things a instalove treat should be. I love instalove romances and this was wonderful. A definite 5 stars! Happy reading
I absolutely love the newest book in the Saturday Night Lights series. You will absolutely fall in love with Asher and Kate's story. I love Ellen's books, and each one makes me want more.
